This is one of best games I rated this jam, all it needs is some unique levels that don't feel repetitive but given the time limitation I can understand why there aren't. Good job!

Really well polished game! I could see this right at home on some flash game websites.

But I'll have to agree with TheFaz, it is an extremely competent game but it doesn't try to be creative or fit the theme.


Some minor, easily fixable irritations:

- shooting with mouse while not being able to aim feels weird

- having the character come to a standstill when they shoot feels clunky

- I thought the projectile range was short because the shots are tiny and hard to see


To balance that I'll say the minor things I liked about the game:

- The shooting feels very responsive with the screen shake and particles

- The checkpoints are well placed

- The death animation/respawn is good

- Music/sound are all very good

Good looking pixelated platformer with some old school mechanics, the music also is great it gives me the feeling of nostalgia somehow , great job.

I feel like I should like this game more than I like it tbh.

The platforming feels good, shooting has the proper feedback, everything has particles, screen shake, sound effects, etc.

But it feels like something's missing; I think this game doesn't really have anything "special". There's no unique mechanic, no unique spin on an idea, no unique narrative or even unique setting. It feels very by-the-book; "a platforming game must be able to jump, have collectibles, moving platforms, etc". 

If this game had a unique something, anything, it'd probably be my favorite of the jam, but it lacks this spice to make it trully great. It has all the fundamentals of game making nailed down, but it need more courage to experiment with new mechanics, new themes, new ideas, to create something unique. 

A great book isn't one that has no spelling mistakes in its words but one that makes something new with the words, and I think the same applies here. It got the basics down, but it would greatly benefit from going a bit wilder with its ideas.

Cool graphics! It took me a second at first to realize that the floating yellow thing wasn't bad, but it was no big deal. Good Job!

I really liked this game! The graphics are good, the music is good, the controls are good (though key mappings are a little stupid; there is no aiming, why is shoot left mouse?). At the start it was a little confusing, it took me a while to realize that you have to shoot the blocks two times to break them. Good job!

The art is awsome but the platforming is not that good could be improved upon (please add cayoti jump )but really liked please check out mine too I need more rating please

Great work getting all that done in the timeframe! The level visuals and the character are very well done. I liked the screen shake effects and the check points helped a lot because some of the levels were hard! I didn't enjoy shooting with the mouse and and platforming with the left hand. I find that hard. Just the platforming was enough for me. Amazing work!

A very nice platformer. Great work visually - especially the main character is very well designed. The environment feels very arcade-y which seems to be the vibe you were going for. The checkpoints helped a lot, though in either 3rd or 4th level (I kinda lost count) - the one when you go left, drop, then to the right - might want to ease back the difficulty there, cause I dead A LOT there.
-I don't think I got all the golden collectibles (had a score of 590), but they felt great to collect - good job there.
-I died 25 times, though deaths from spikes didn't seem to increase the counter. Might want to look into that. 
-The main music loop was nice, but I had a feeling some background layers were really noisy - as in - there was some random noisiness in some parts of the music loop. Just felt a bit weird.

Great game. The difficulty was also correct.

For me the camera movement was too much when jumping.

Loved the double jump mechanic! Really nice that the player stops to shoot!

Just seemed like the text was fuzzy and a little hard to read at times.
