A really fun hack and slash, whose main problem is that I want more. The upgrade system, although quite simple. actually provided a nice element to the game. There are a few bugs you'll probably want to fix for a post jam version: health upgrade doesn't show by default, the bosses can be stun locked if you keep attacking, the upgrade available text should have a background like the other UI to keep it visible at all times. But these are all minor fixes, once again great game
really nice game ^^
maybe add top and down direction for character because I feel cornered easily by enemy if they came to me from top and down direction
Catchy hack-and-slash with great music and style. Enemy feedback, and room design could use polish, but the core gameplay and bosses are fun and promising.
Catchy responsive hack and slash gameplay. loved the music and the character and boss design. Needed some more sound feedback on enemies and the levels seemed too big for what it contained but all the elements are here to make this into an even better game. Another game that I will come back to and see if I can get to the end! Cool game
What stood out to me the most was the music, it was really great across all the different levels. The game could use a bit more polish (which is totally understandable given the time constraints). The knight’s attack felt a little strange to me, it never really posed any threat from the first time I encountered it until the end. On the other hand, the first mini-boss’s attack was more challenging and really cool to see. The last boss also had a nice design, especially thanks to its size.
Some rooms felt too spacious, when walking far from the walls, since there was no floor asset, it gave a weird feeling, almost like I wasn’t moving. That said, the game ended up being way more fun than I expected. Good job!
Cool game! It's really impressive you did everything yourself, even different music tracks for each level. The gameplay was nice but I do have a few suggestions for improvement. At first I thought the knight enemies were a boss like the other guy, but was confused when they didn't start flashing, so I thought I needed to time my attacks to when they lower their shield. More feedback on hitting enemies would be nice. Also, settings for the sound would be lovely as it was a tad too loud for me. Finally, restarting at the very beginning when you die gets tedious after a while. All in all though, this was a really nice project. Well done :)
Thanks for playing! I am realizing more comments i get the more i would have like to add but yeah. I may have over scoped a bit but I appreciate your feedback. thank you again
FINAL BOSS DEFEATED AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS
Thanks for playing and sticking with it to the end!
Love how everything including music was made by you! Only gripe is that the dungeon felt a bit empty at times with big expansive rooms. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback!
A little too slow paced imo, escecially for a jam game. but pretty fun. Good job
Fun game, I like the style and the music a lot. The first big baddie surprised me and slaughtered me! Not a bad thing, he was pretty easy once you learn the trick. If you were to expand further on this, I think it could use another combat mechanic or two. I bet it would also be a good candidate for procedural generated rooms/enemies. Nice work!
Thank you kindly for playing! I have never considered expanding this game but perhaps it is something I may look into
Pretty fun, I like the consistent tone and style throughout art and gameplay and sound! Great music by the way, and love the sharp sfx on the sword, though the jar-breaking one is a little harsh. Also wish there was a clearer indication when the way to the next level is blocked, thought I was just pressing the wrong key or something at first hahah. Great job, would love to see what you make next
Neat game! The level up system is cool, I do not advise breaking the pots! It's quite loud.
Although the gameplay didn't hook me, I very much enjoyed the game's music. The number of tracks in the game is impressive, they fit the style+tone of game and overall sounded good
i appreciate even though the gameplay didn't hook, you still played. I am glad there were parts you could enjoy
The music goes hard af and you should consider composing for other jams. I completed the game and killed the final boss.
I think the main area for improvement would be the combat being a bit more dynamic and flowing faster, but I understand the game was made in a week.
I would love to just write Game music. it been a dream of mine to write scores for decades, since i was a little squirt. Ive asked to do music for other jams but ultimately was said no to
Im overjoyed you and so many others like the score
this game is awesome. the art, music, and sound effects are amazing. the game play feels fun
The game is nice, but the font is very hard to read; sometimes I couldn't understand what it said.
The game is good, solid, and polished. Quite an impressive job for a week.
really fun game! but the font is not readable enough.
Really fun hack and slash! Good execution on visuals, audio, and game play. I agree with Behnam that the font choice made for some readability challenges, but that didn't hold me back from making my way through. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
I really enjoyed this game and only wish it were longer! The art is beautiful, the music is fantastic, and the fact that you made it yourself makes it a full score from me.
The only thing I didn’t like much was the font. It looks great for the title, but in the other parts, it’s not really readable at all.
By the way, may I ask what software you used to create the music?
I used FL Studio Mobile, there is a Chip Tune extension you can get for it and thats what I used for the music. Thank you so much for the kind words. I am so glad you enjoyed it.
