The sound design is the best part of this - like how it changes depending on what's happening. The art is really good. The gameplay felt maybe less strategic than what you were going for? But I still had a blast. One of the contenders for winning the jam.

the web version is broken

it's a game where you walk around and press stuff and there's a spooky duck

artwork is good, I like the adaptive soundtrack.

Really wasn't a fan of the guns being super inaccurate, which makes the trees the hardest enemy of all things

Fun little block pusher with a few notable mechanics like having coins carry over between deaths. Liked the choice of music

Pretty much perfect. I don't see any other game winning really. 5 stars in every category.

My only critique is I wish there were more situations where pausing was necessary to progress similar to the first situation, but it was made in 3 days so that's understandable.

That's actually a great idea.

Sadly no, you just get a cool house full of furniture. Would have loved to add a reward but time was limited

I knew someone would try 😂 this will move you forward two days though

Clever idea, doesn't outstay its welcome. Well done. I think some of the platforms move too quick even with the slowdown but other than that it was fun.

Love the graphics and the music!

It seems like there are levels where the bots randomly don't turn on? correct me if I'm missing something.

Unfortunately I think it softlocks the game,  if you reset it shouldn't happen again (hopefully)

What ended your playthrough was a glitch, not too sure what causes it since I haven't been able to reliably replicate it. Thanks for the critique!

Loved the art, liked the central mechanic. I wasn't able to finish it because one of the levels was too hard.

Run around, look at spooky stuff.  Heavily inspired by Majora's mask creepypasta. The final section it's possible to miss the scare by looking the wrong way.

The game really isn't clear how you're supposed to play it. Some better instructions or a tutorial would have been good.

Ruined the game for myself by just realising you could just see if the sliders made the points go up or down, and used that to get high scores. decent concept

Had a good wander about the map, which is huge. The core concept is good, it's quite similar to zelda echoes of wisdom. Really could have done with the feature to perhaps get everything you've absorbed back to summon at will? As it is right now you have to run back to swap whenever you want to summon something else, which is a pain.

I enjoyed playing around with the absolutely unhinged controls. There are some bugs in there, and I managed to find an exploit using the boxes to just fly over the entire level until I was out of bounds. Had a lot of fun

The concept of a game based around a duplication glitch is great, the execution just wasn't very fun. The bosses have too much hp and it's not clear what you're supposed to do. Loved the music too.

It's a bit like portal if you just had the ability to make pop-ups. The last few rooms were devious with the amount of turrets you have to deal with. Just needs the placement mechanic cleaning up a bit, sound being added, and it'd be perfect.

The music is an absolute banger. Liked the concept. Seems more complicated than it actually is. Managed to complete it despite being terrible at push block puzzles

I managed to get onto the leaderboard! Can say I've not played anything like this, so top marks for innovation. And, I had never heard of pfand before so I learnt something new. Good overall

Great splash screen. I like the sound design despite it being simple. I have no idea how the main mechanic works though, even though I managed to complete the game. A little tutorial would have been great.

I think you have a great idea here, but it just wasn't finished in time. I'd like to see the concept fully realised.

that's extremely high praise, thank you.

No plans for a full game of this - but I can definitely see it - more plant types, more items, different bosses, and the ability to get higher hp so you can live longer outside of the bubbles.

Thanks for the critique :) If I did it again that hold to jump would probably be scrapped and the wall jump would be fixed.

There are some tips on the game page for those getting frustrated with the wall jump.

Thanks!

the music is amazing, and I like the art - There is not much to the gameplay to comment on. Just pick petals and hope it gets you a score.

Good theme integration, I like the art, especially the wizard. I didn't like how there's an upgrade system but you get the upgrades so infrequently.

Really liked the UI and usage of tween animation. Audio is suitably quirky for the situation of the game. Like someone else said, might be better not in 1-bit as it's hard to see what's going on.

You went above and beyond with this review by dropping a YouTube video, I totally appreciate it. 🙏 I actually almost put red palette into the game to signify when you were really low hp but it's just one of those ideas that got scrapped due to time constraints.

I prefer to both play and design small games. They do not allow the player time to get bored.

Thanks for rating

Thanks! Yeah, would've loved different enemies but limited dev time

Very high praise, thank you

Is the game in the jam?

Thanks for the critique! I find the Sound mix and difficulty are two very difficult aspects to get right in a game but will keep in mind for the next jam or a future patch

This is the first incremental game I've played - It's great, I played it to completion. Perfect to play while you have youtube on or something. Good job.

You've clearly mastered sound design, gamefeel, and art. I was just surprised you made such an amazing engine and then the gameplay is just sorta walking around slicing flowers haha. I would expect it to be some kind of narrative rpg hack and slash hybrid
