This is a thread for people to say if they're up for others to adapt their games to other mediums. If there's a game you see listed that you want to adapt, please contact the developer first and get permission.

Personally I'm fine with any of my games being made into video games. I don't know if any are a good fit for one but feel free to check them out. You can DM me on Twitter if you're interested in adapting one or want a free copy of any of my games.

Feel free to DM me about any of my games, most of them are playable right in the browser and I would be happy if any would get transferred to a different medium :)

You can find them here: https://ancientpixel.itch.io

Looks like the link goes to a private page that requires a password but the profile can be accessed here

Huch, fixed it, thx :)

If anyone wants to adapt Dogs Throwing Swords II into another medium, they are more than welcome to go wild with it! Whatever you make, I'll make it a part of the official Dogs Throwing Swords canon :3

If you bought the Racial Justice or Palestinian Aid bundle, you already own it! You can find it here:

https://lilyv.itch.io/

I could totally see a card or board game about assembling a custom team of dogs to fight bats and ghosts and stuff?

I don't know if I'll be able to join the jam myself, but best luck to everyone involved! Have fun :)

(Also, l will double check with my artist but I'm sure adapting Time Skippy would be totally fine, too!)

I actually already tweeted at you, but I already have ideas for how Dogs Throwing Swords could be converted into a TTRPG, so I would like to throw my hat in the ring for being the one to adapt it.

Yea!! Go wild, I'm excited to see how it turns out :D

Anyone can adapt any of my works for this jam: http://davidsgallant.itch.io

Everything but Unnatural Watches is free, but if you bought the Palestinian Aid Bundle, you already own it. If not, email me at contact at davidsgallant dot com and I'll hook you up.

Howdy, do you have a run through or something for  A Game for Ana?  I can't get flash to run on my pc

I don't have a recording, but give me a day or two and I might be able to get some footage.

awesome, thanks - but if it's a hassle it doesn't matter, I was curious what it was &  whether I could adapt it somehow

I had some unexpected free time, so I was able to record footage! Here you go:

thanks for this (I saw it after I did the first reply obviously).  what is the player doing?  are they trying to find what blocks can disappear?

Basically yes. The player can move left & right, and can flip gravity between up and down. There are solid blocks that create a message (the heart or "I luv u") and blocks that disappear once touched. Each level ends once all the non-solid blocks have been touched, revealing the message

Hey hey! Tabletop designer here who'd be thrilled if someone wanted to adapt any of my games!

https://vidityavoleti.itch.io/

A lot of my games are worldbuilding focused, so I'd even challenge someone to play them (like A Land Once Magic) and then make a game based on the world you made! Spellchitects is a collaborative drawing game thats all about spell creation, I can totally see some video games utilizing it in some form!

I think my easiest translatable game would be Space Goblins! It's already designed with a very roguelike loop and fun and easy randomization and chaos for a variety of digital game genres!

I'm also hoping to make something based on a video game, so here's to a fun jam of us itch creators finding each other's work!!

Hi, Viditya!

I'd be really interested in adapting one of your games for this jam! I've been looking at Back To The Woods We Go, Under One Roof, and Apprentice Quest, but haven't been able to get a copy of Space Goblins. Let me know if any of these games are available for the jam or if you're interested in seeing an adaptation of one in particular!

Thanks,

musicworm

Any of those games would be real great to see adapted, so whichever really speaks to you, esp cause I'm excited to see how someone would adapt them outside of how I visualize it lol

Also if you want Space Goblins, it was in the itch racial injustice bundle if you picked that up!

I give anyone permission to use any of my games for an adaptation, but one that could be interesting is this ambient horror game I made, called Approaches, where you fruitlessly try to repair a radio tower before getting consumed by a giant monster, which is unavoidable. https://tipsheda.itch.io/approaches

video game designer here; feel free to adapt anything I’ve made! https://pancelor.itch.io/

suggestions of things I think are most adaptable:

a screenshot from escalator world that says “to ride up the escalator, do nothing”

I’ve made one TTRPG as well called cryptkeeper, which should be adaptable into some sort of roguelike. It’s in the Palestinian Aid bundle; if the community copies are gone DM me and I can send you a copy

I'd love for an adaptation of A Visit to San Sibilia!

It's a solo journaling RPG in an ever changing city. Feel free to grab a community copy to check out if you're interested!

Hello!

I would be stoked if someone wanted to adapt my ttrpg game, Kick Rocks! https://ru7.itch.io/kick-rocks

It's a prompt-based game, about an adventurer and a journey they are taking, that is mechanized by kicking rocks during a walk. Prompts are based on where the rock lands.

Tabletop designer here:
Feel free to adapt any of these but please let me know so I can check out where you took them:

  1. Panakizhi (also appeared in the comic  Master & Apprentice as a game used to teach young magicians how to think.  I'm one of the designers)     https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/garagegamesau/panakizhi
  2. Of Stone & Wood -  This one has a little bit of a story around how the game is used in the game world I designed it for but do what you want with it    https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/of-stone-and-wood
  3. Dealing Blows -   2 player fighting game    https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/dealing-blows

The rules for the last 2 are to the right of the page on the game crafter, Panakizhi has the rules on the KS page

I am so down for someone to adapt my ttrpg game Verhext Nochmal!, https://cutestpatoot.itch.io/verhext-nochmal Which is a role-play/improv heavy game where you play as magical cat familiars to witches and deal with wacky misadventures!

Hiya! I just recently published my TTRPG, "Phone a Friend." It's a singleplayer horror story about communication, and is set in a never-ending hallway that only comes to an end as the story does. While the original game is free to download, I am perfectly fine if you'd like to make a profit off your adaptation!

Hi. I hope I'm not too late. If anyone wants to adapt "SPY YPS" then go for it.   https://okilohajovic.itch.io/spy-yps

anyone is free to adopt any games on my itch! https://jwhop.itch.io/

some games I made:
- weird asymmetric cooking game where the chef doesnt know the recipe but their grandma's ghost does

-stealth game where you move without looking

-shuffleboard but you try not to break an egg

-a chess tetris fusion

-a game where you're a cat who dances while your owners are asleep

absolutely no idea if/how these are feasible for tabletop games but would love to see anyone try if interested!

Don't think I have the energy to do something for the jam, but if anyone's looking for something to adapt, go ahead & check out my new (& first!) game Empty Table! Fantasy adventuring as knights of the Round Table post Arthur's fall. They're playtest rules, & nowhere close to finished, but more has been done with less I'm sure :p
