this is so much fun, I love the bonus game Band on Horses and can’t wait to play it sometime. I really like games that incorporate physicality in play and I always like playing Band or Horses!

The pacing of the game really helps it feel like you are in the situation of a John Wick esque revenge narrative, it’s immersive and the game book itself is beautiful. The order in which the cards are pulled affects the story you tell so the replayability is very high and even if you lose the story you get to tell is well worth it. I highly recommend this game 🫡

Just popping in to add that as of today I had the exact same issue on Safari. Downloaded Chrome and from there it was fine!

I was instantly hooked by the premise and genuinely excited to play this game- but already reading it was such a fun time too!! I’m definitely someone who often daydreams about previous iterations of websites and the landscape of the 90s and 2000s Internet so this game was a welcome indulgence!! Good job!!!

For me this game was love at first sight, it was such a fun idea and read that even tho I at the time didn’t have a block tower I wanted to play so badly I stacked my pens together like pick-up-sticks to improvise a way to play it immediately. I was also immediately super inspired and started drafting an audio actual play for this game I look forward to making. 10000/10 what an incredibly fun concept and what cool mechanics. I can’t tell you how much fun I had and how inspired I am. I love it I love it I’ve told all my friends about it!!

I had a lot of fun with this! The music was great and the concept is fun and super creative, it honestly reminded me of something I would have encountered in AP Art classes as a way to foster creativity.  Love it! 

Loved this newsletter, I all but devoured it this morning when I was waking up and it was quite inspiring as well as already just a very entertaining read! In the middle of designing two card games myself currently I’m deeply intrigued by the concept of ‘backwards hands’ and am now noodling in my design document for the card game that I’m working on for the 1929 jam. Something about that mechanic feels socially/narratively in an rpg parallel to everyone around you seeing a danger you are in that you yourself cannot recognize alone- fitting for a game about illicit affairs and gambling!  Thank you for this newsletter it was a joy to read!

My corporate working former HR roommate is absolutely beside themselves laughing as I have them roll dice and read them the resulting email and solution they are absolutely losing it you are a genius! This is one of the funniest games out there!
