I really like the idea! Great work.

Great take on two classic game ideas!

ok, that music alone was worth playing! Well done. :) It's a similar idea to my teams game, but a wildly different gameplay style. Good work!

Developer

Thank you so much! Was hoping the music would shake the players to their (apple) core :)

Nicely made! It’s a simple concept, but well executed!

OMG! I almost gave up in the last level! I didn't know the tail of the snake wouldn't kill you so I was moving in the frame that the snake moved to not touch its tail and I was gonna go insane! Excellent work with how the game feels, no bugs or anything! I laughed out loud when the music went "snake", it was an appropriate drop! Good job!

SNAKE

Developer

Thank you! I hope to get everyone slithering on the dance floor :)

Very well done game! I do think that it might be a bit too easy. A lot of places where I beat the snake seemed almost unintentional and completely bypassed the level mechanics like boxes, and so a lot of the levels just felt the same. Outside of that I love the game.

Very nice game, fits the theme perfectly! Really liked the later levels, things get hard (or im dumb idk). Anyways, congrats on the game!

Developer(+1)

Cheers! The last level took me many tries myself.

Loved this! Great design, great art, great music!

And you are great, give me a high five 🖐

I love you too

Great Game! I really like the artwork and the gameplay is easy to understand, levels are designed well and last a good amount of time without overstaying their welcome. There are multiple solutions to puzzles which makes it very satisfying

As promised in the PJP server I’m here to tell @Xascoria that his code looks Ai generated.

Jokes aside this is an exceptional piece of work. It impresses with its concise yet captivating nature, providing an enjoyable and immersive experience. The remarkable visuals and flawless controls contribute to its overall brilliance.

Developer

Thank you, i will take credit for all the positives! I wish @Xascoria's code was AI generated, at least then it might not have given me severe PTSD. I have seen things.

Fantastic role reversal! Some great puzzles but could be ordered differently. Loves the puzzles where the goal was to get the snake to crash into itself!

Developer

Thank you! Ye i have to agree that ordering could have been different, it is just sort of hard to order problems when u made them :/

Submitted

10/10, this and <Apple> are so far my absolutely favorite takes on "reverse snake" so far (though very different lol) Great job on this!!

Developer

Just remember, we are the original "reverse snake" 😎. Orignal idea donut steel!!!

OMG how cool it is! Great role reverse game!

Very clever level design, one of the best I've tried out! Movement sometimes felt unresponsive but most of the time was good, got frustrating at times but was satisfying to solve harder puzzles.

Developer

Thank you! We may or may not have looked at Sokoban for idea's for some of the levels ;)

Submitted(+2)

The idea is simple but the puzzles and level design provide good variety and are clever, building on the core mechanics but always putting some sort of twist like for example the level where the snake was enclosed by boxes. I'm not really sure about the music choice, not really my cup of tea, but apart from that the presentation is cool. It is very nice that not only there is a restart button, but player isn't put into a failstate after one mistake as in most levels I was able to correct my errors and it seemed like in some levels there were multiple paths to the solution.

Developer

Thank you! We really tried spicing up the level variety to compliment the simple mechanics. It would have been frustrating if most levels required perfect crate pushing/seed placing hence why we tried to limit those kinds of levels to be small and quick. There is even a "Skip" button if you use the restart button enough ;)

Submitted(+1)

Very nice and simple idea! I would prefer if the seeds were "full grown" apples right away, but otherwise had a lot of fun!

Submitted(+1)

Love the idea and you made some really fun puzzles. Great job!

Submitted(+1)

Fun puzzles, the difficulty spike in the middle was not ideal. Also the movement felt unresponsive at times, you might want to buffer inputs when moving on a tile grid. Overall pretty solid game.

Developer

Appreciate the advice, thank you for playing :)

Submitted(+1)

Amazing! It's probably my favorite Snake variation that I've played so far

This concept is so sick! I really really enjoyed the puzzles. The level design is clever, the theme puts a really nice twist on a classic game

Developer

Thank you! Hopefully you'll never enjoy the crunch of an apple the same way again :)
