I absolutely love it! Especially being able to place blocks while controlling the player's movement! Not many other games of the same type can achieve that. Well done!

Nice idea ! It was pretty fun :p. Would love to see this idea expanded in a bigger demo !

It was fun! At the beginning, there's a similar vibe to There Is No Game, except for the fact that we're programming the game :p . However, the game doesn't natively support the AZERTY keyboard layout, so you have to tinker a bit to be able to play properly. Additionally, it's not indicated anywhere that we should use the mouse in edit mode. I searched for a while before figuring out what to do. Otherwise, there's a lot of potential for the puzzles. I wonder how far this idea can go. Well done! :)

Such a cool idea! There are so many places you could go with this. It would be cool to be able to change the properties of other things eventually, at one point I forgot I could place blocks and spent a while trying to edit the walls to be passable. I hope you keep building it after the jam and we get to see that boss fight. Nicely done!

Good game, I found some clipping bugs when standing beneath the moving platforms to squish me underground. You could either fix that or hide a secret level somewhere if you clip through the ground in a specific place.

Pretty nice game, maybe being able to update the jump height is too op, especially in the platform levels, as they become useless.

Great concept, I truly enjoyed it

Loved the idea of tweaking the entities on top of platform creation!

Interesting concept (and I have my guess from where you got the inspiration from... smart move), and I liked how the features were being added as you progress through the levels, so it doesn't feel overwhelming. If you intend to expand on it, and I think you can, I'd suggest working on the jumping (I know you can customize the height, but the timing feels a little odd to me) and improve on the features, because as there are many parts working together, the easier for bugs to happen. Overall, interesting experience, good job

Neat concept, very creative. I loved the idea of being able to edit not just the layout of the map, but the parameters of the entities (player and platforms so far).

Building the menu at the beginning was also really clever, and set the tone for sure.

This could be a really cool and challenging puzzle platformer with some more concepts and levels. Definitely a bit too easy at the moment: setting jump height and run speed to max made some levels trivial. But there’s something special here for sure.

Developer

I’m glad you liked it :D. Thanks for the review!

This is really fun and the concept incredibly good, though I wish the blocks placed had a different sprite than the surroundings; if you spent more time refining the levels and limiting the powers of the player (like maybe where/how far you can place blocks), a full game of this would be really cool

The game was easy but fun. I liked how you could edit the stats of the player and the platforms (Which I didnt need to use) but the mechanic was really fun.

Fun concept. Unfortunately the moving platforms are buggy, applying an attribute doesn't work much of the time. I reckon this idea could go far if you subtly came up with ways to balance the game, despite the premise being you're a developer with infinite powers... Something like, placing spikes in areas to avoid players cheesing with the high jump attribute, or the fast run attribute coming with ice physics that make it tough to slow down.

Really cool game you've made! I love all the unfinished, buggy, and messy bits and pieces everywhere, really selling that this is an unfinished project by some developer. The only thing is that most levels could be easily beaten in seconds just by increasing the player speed and jump height to the max.

cool concept, from the go with the menu it  was all about the concept. Like others said, the level sound was a bit loud. Also found you could edit the character before the level about it, so got through levels without needing blocks at all (that could have been intentional). A game right up my alley!

Developer

Thank you! I’m glad you liked the game. And you were spot on, getting a cool concept was the main thing we were going for with this.

I love an interactable menu!

Great idea and a unique interpretation of the theme - great job! I particularly liked having to build my own menu at the start :)

The idea is really fun ! The game is a little too easy though, on a lot of levels the solution is simply to boost your jump

Sweet little thing. As another review said, it really only needs some harder levels.

Gets kind of easy when you just place blocks below yourself (Minecraft style) and the controls are a bit floaty, but nice presentation and sounds!

Saw this from the Godot server.

Decent execution for the idea, but the game is actually absurdly easy if you start every level by maxing the player's stats then you can pretty much go anywhere using like 1 or 2 blocks. I would suggest maybe each levels the player can only change one aspect - that would have made the puzzle more fun and limiting.

Developer

Thanks! I also think the game could definitely be improved that way.
