Such a fun idea for a game! Who knew that answering emails and a strategy game would fit together so well.

Loved the writing and the fact that the in-game tutorial is a part of the emails you have to read. The presentation is also really polished, though the UI looks a bit strange on non-16:9 displays.

Would love to see the strategy part of the game get some polish, as there’s not much feedback to your turns. You just… place stuff and then next turn this stuff randomly disappears, I feel.

Overall, a solid and a good-looking entry. Well done!

I really liked the idea behind the game, I was really surprised by the turn-based strategy mini-game part, I'd like to see what it could become with a little more time and love <3 I definitely had a good time reading the emails and laughing, good job!

Nice game

The presentation of this game is fantastic! The emails were really funny to read, and so were the responses. The wording of the flamethrower in the tutorial wasn't quite clear, and it took me a while to figure out, but other than that, I really liked this game!

Fantastic approach! Did not quite understand how the two parts (emails and defense) were connected, but each worked very well separately!

Incredibly creative concept - a cool mash-up of a "Papers, Please" type management sim and a turn-based strategy game. Might benefit from some more info/feedback on how best to use the defensive elements (perhaps some range highlighting on the grid for elements like turrets). Also, it could be interesting to add more synergy between the two gameplay mechanics (for example, if the way the player answered emails affected the type/amount of defensive resources you could deploy). Regardless, I love the idea of having the dual systems, and the theming is hilarious/very unique. Hope you keep fleshing it out!

Super creative concept! I loved that your team managed to take the boring aspect of having to respond to emails and turned it around into something fun with incorporating a Kaiju battle as well. Would love to see the idea expanded and adding in a tutorial to help make the purpose of turrets and walls more understandable.

Art and music are awesome, the theme is a novel idea too!

Very fun! Love the art style, wish there was more to do though.

This was very fun.
But I have no idea what the turrets are for.

One of the best games I've played so far. Great job!

Presentation was fantastic. It took me a while to fully understand what I needed to do, I thought the whole game was just responding to emails. With a more robust tutorial this game could go from great to excellent.

-Enjoyment: It was interesting/fun to try and defend the city!

-Creativity: Super creative idea!

-Presentation: I loved the art style for the cut scenes, the isometric tiles, and UI! I liked the defeated screen too~ hehe

-Neat game indeed!! Please check out my non-creative entry when you can :D

The aesthetic is top-notch, as well as the music. Amazingly well put together! The world-building was also great!

I had some trouble understanding the tactics part of gameplay tho. I would have liked it if there were more tactics going on in the Kaiju battle.

It was still very enjoyable, great work!

The fact that I was aiming to save the buildings but insult the whole town by my 3rd playthrough is saying something about the writing of this game. Nice one! I hope you get a special mention.

I for one fully support spending every single tax budget dollars on paying butch to stand around being hot.

Looks great and the music is nice. But the gameplay is super confusing, yet at the same time I won so I guess it's also easy...

Great presentation, and fun writing! The gameplay is very confusing though, not sure exactly what I am doing with the kaiju. Either way, seems like I won though technically! Great job :DD

I love that you get the good ending by letting the city burn. The emails were my exact sense of humor, thank you for a fun read! It reminded me a lot of Welcome to Night Vale, not sure if that was what you were going for but it made for some great world-building.
