Great casual game, done a great jobs in this shor time. HIgh polish aesthetic, music and sfx. The drag and shoot is also smooth.
This is a banger of a game. It is so casual but frantic. It literally lulls you into thinking it is easy then slams you into the harsh reality that the sky is pooping Aliens or Monsters and it has a bad case of IBS, The Aliens or Monsters from Monsters Inc are cool. It is so polished and smooth. Great Job, really enjoyed this one.
i was clicking on "play" like a maniac until i figured out what to do. i like that you learn mechanics before you even really start the game. nice presentation, great art. really well done!
I have to portal the animals, it's a really cool mechanic I like the music, SFX and the level design
Great Job! The music and art are so good. I like the wallpaper on the game's itch.io page.
Absolutely loved playing this game (as you can tell from the leaderboards 😂)
couldn't fault the game except for the very rare bug of Aliens disappearing super late game, or falling through the floor if shooting too quickly. Would love to see more mechanics get added or even different versions of the game. Well done to all 3 of you, can't wait to see what comes next!
Suggestions that I mentioned on discord:
Aliens should only walk towards the humans and not in the opposite direction after a certain point in time, and maybe more portals should be weighted towards being above the humans as the game progresses
aliens squish what they land on, the shaking effect having an effect on the accuracy of the slingshot and making the aliens more likely to eat a human than an animal if there's a human relatively close
It took me a moment to figure out how this game works, but after that it was real fun! :)
Good to see Maya back at it! I enjoyed your game at last year's jam and this one looks great! Unfortunately I was having a strange issue, so I wasn't able to play much. From what I gather, when I move my cursor over an animal the hand should appear so that I can pick it up, however, it wasn't appearing and I wasn't able to grab them, however I did find that sometimes if I moved my cursor a few centimetres above the animal the hand would sometimes appear. Maybe it has to do with my laptop as I have an odd resolution.
You put together a really great little gameplay loop with this. I love how frantic it gets as you're trying to balance getting extra lives and keeping the baddies from eating everyone. Also props to those on the leaderboard. That's a crazy amount of points! I could only get about 40-50k, but maybe I need a little more practice.
I love the art!!!! The bounciness is so cute!!
I love the fact that I can also fling the person up ahahahah
Wonderful game! From amazing art to polished mechanics, to sound design, everything is near-perfect! I even managed to get the second place (400k score) on my third try. I'll definitely come back to play it again later.
It looks amazing and it is very fun to play! I was all the time kicking out monsters through the portals because it was very difficult to aim correctly to place the animals in the houses, I always failed on that :(
Great game! It took me a while to figure out that I need to shoot something at the portal to start the game. Once I did, I had a lot of fun!!
Very fun. I enjoy sending animals and monsters through portals.
It's fun,and i love the animation , the monster's eating is really interesting!
