thank you for playing and for your feedback!
The original idea was to have the pickups respawn after a while so the player could switch dimensions again if goes back, but I had some problems trying to implement the respawning in the engine so I had to leave it like that at the end due to time constraints. Changing the pickups into permanent portals would have been a better solution yeah! sadly I didn't think of it at the moment, thanks for pointing it out!
I absolutely love it!!
I am a fan of all Schrödinger's cat-related stuff, and this is a magnificent concept and mechanics. The visuals are awesome as well, animations/FX super well done. Doesn't look or feel like a game-jam game at all! super polished, well done!!! -and as far as I have played, no bugs at all... how on earth do you accomplish a bug-free game in a game jam! :O
Now I'm playing the browser version but I will def download it when I can afford a donation, I live in a low-income country so even a buck would make a hole for me rn, but I don't want to download it for free.
Congrats! 5 rating in all categories ♥
thanks, I am working on it :) I'm more on the art and design side so all the dev part is overwhelming but I like it anyway, just not my strength. But yeah doing my best to fix those bugs every single time they appear, it seems they happen or not depending on the EXACT position of the player + the EXACT combination of keyboard input when trying to get out of the ladder, quite some work to do XD
(btw the browser version of your game is not loading, I will try the download).
oh sorry about that, I thought that bug had been totally fixed, I will give it another fix... 100000th time haha.
about the invisible boxes, yeah I didn't have time to make all the collisions disabled I just made them invisible XD, I'll see if I can fix that one too before the deadline for bug fixing, although it doesn't make the game unplayable. I enjoyed working on that theme a lot, I might make a proper game of this demo at some point :)
thank you! :)
I would def play your game if you complete it, I also know my brother and my nephew would like it. Yeah, mine doesn't have sound either :P
The skeleton skin took forever and is not the best but it is tiny in the game so nvm, I didn't have time to adjust the frames properly for the animations either, but I guess for a game jam is good enough if is playable :P
Hi!! ...sadly couldn't finish the game on time due to my busy schedule with my dog's care and a persistent bug that I haven't been able to fix :( ...still a few hours to go but is 2:30am here and I really need to sleep! Let me know if I can fill in the post-jam survey even if couldn't finish the game on time, or if is just for ppl who could submit.
Hello. I am interested in participate but I prefer to do it alone because I have a dog with a health condition and I could at any second have to put everything aside if have an emergency with him. I wouldn't like to let down a team mate by suddenly stop working on the game if it gets to that. Can I participate as solo developer? I have a personal interest in the topic of serious games and I am also starting to work on my thesis project for game design program. I know by experience that it is not easy to find participants for a study, so I want to participate but can only do so if I do it on my own because of the reason previously mentioned. Looking forward to your answer, thank you! :)
