Really good idea! The level you have to play changes depending on the initial die roll. I played the two levels a couple times to get a feel for how they change, though I felt different die rolls didn't affect how I ended up playing each of them very much. I think with some more levels and sound, this would be a really solid game! Congrats on submitting :)

Neat concept - though I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if there are only two levels.

Either way, cool idea, feels like the walljump made it kind of trivial to beat any configuration though. Would love to see this idea taken further.

Really neat idea, would love to see it taken further!! I actually think the wall climb could be interesting if it was limited by the level design or other mechanics, especially in cases of otherwise certain death.

This was an interesting concept, but a pretty rough implementation. The idea of dice affecting the level geometry is interesting, but I feel like more could have been done with it (especially if it were just one die being rolled, making the level design simpler). Also, a wall jump is fine, but this is really a wall climb allowing you to scale any vertical wall no matter the height, which is rather broken, IMO. I really like the idea, and I assume the time limit was the source of all the ideas. It would be interesting to see you experiment and expand on the idea in the future (if you wanted to; I know I don't plan on doing more with my game jam entry after this).

I like the idea, where the environment sort of changes depending on what roll you got. However, it was not implemented that well. The dice roll didn't really matter, or we couldn't do anything with certain rolls, and the wall jump thingy was not a good addition in my opinion (idk if it was a bug or not). I would've liked if we can only access certain parts of the level with certain dice rolls, and you get to explore the map and something. The art was pretty cute, especially the little dice person, but lacking audio. This idea could be explored further with more time, this was a good concept for being made in only 2 days. Well done!

Good idea with the randomized die determining level layout, but there is still the issue of the fact that rolling certain die feels necessary to complete the level. Rather than make it random chance, maybe have certain points where players can roll the die and choose a side, determining what platforms are open or not?

I like your take on the theme! The wall jumping feels kind of broken sometimes though. There were a few levels where it feels like I had to use the dice to get to the flag, but I was able to just bypass it by finding a tall wall. Still, nicely done though. I had fun with it!

One thing I really appreciate about this entry is that you can see the impact of the RNG; because all of the numbers you didn't roll are grayed out, you get a sense of how much the rolls matter, rather than if the RNG tiles were the same brick sprite and you just had to guess what was randomized.

There's definitely room for some spice to be added to the gameplay, but in terms of the "randomized levels" subgenre of this jam I think this is one of the better implementations.

It is a interesting game Concept but after I played it a few times it got boring because it was always the same level... Apart from that it was a good game!

I love the concept of the dice obstacles being random each level and you need to figure out the path through. A couple of simple suggestions: zoom out the camera to see more of the level and have the camera pan faster. I found it a bit hard to see where to go with the camera lagging behind and only being able to see a few tiles ahead. Minor issues aside you got some great ideas here! Would love to see it developed further.

Conceptually pretty cool; I like the idea of a level changing in the way so you have to go through in different ways.

Not sure about the actual implementation, because it felt like some combinations were impossible to complete. Maybe I was just bad at platforming though :)

wow, this game's concept is really original. and i love the viusals and audio are really good too. Really good entry. :)

Love the idea - the idea of one level being different every time is really cool. The game could use some more polish: improvements to the movement system and some juice would be great, but its a jam game so that's to be expected lol. Overall, a really cool experience, good job man!

Awesome idea. Did you playtest every single combination?

Developer(+1)

Since there is only 9 combinations i made possible, i made sure to test each of them to make sure each doesn't make the level impossible to finish. Although dying is a last resort in case i overlooked a combination.

really cool idea but the movement felt kinda slow and the jump felt really weighty. with a few tweaks to the movement, I think the game would be great!

Interesting concept. The movement felt a bit slow, may have wanted to speed that up. I would also have added a way to roll the dice to get new platforms, as if it rolled the wrong numbers to get the flag I would resort to jump off the map until I got the correct rolls.

Developer

I made sure that any combination of rolls would make the level possible to finish. Though i did made jumping off a last-resort choice if any of the combinations i did overlook. Hopefully it wasn't too much of a hassle.

Good work.

Great art, and a very creative take on the theme, playing the same levels but with a change in the layout is a very cool concept.
