I love the art of this game. All of the dice are very charming and everything else is just so clean.

I wish the text boxes were either a bit faster or took 2 clicks to skip, as I would instinctively try and click to speed up the text and accidentally skip a whole box of dialogue.

Agreed, it’s something we’re working on! Thank you for your time ☺️

Fun and funny story, cute graphics and really nice gameplay, well done. It's cool that there are multiple pathways to the end goal and I absolute love that you made a character out of every d6 rather that just making those d6, d4, d8, and so on.

Nice job!

Had a fun time with this story game, the overall visuals look great and really like the UI designs.

A really well made story game. Nice mini puzzles with each enemy and determining the best order of things, also fun to try to skip ahead with a little bit of luck. Good job!

Thanks for playing 🙇🏼‍♂️

great game!
great art!
very enjoyable, it was nice to see another story based game.
as another commenter already mentioned, there's a lot right with this game, so i'll focus on things you might wanna improve imo.
i think adding more music depending on the scenario might've been a nice idea.
i think the map could be displayed as a minimap in the corner instead of having to press on the map button, i didn't actually notice the button for the majority of the game.
the game was quite fun, i just wish restarting and the transitions would've happened faster, it would've kept the action going, was a bit frustrating to wait for the screen to do its thing.
i would've liked to see the buttons for movement be in a consistent place on the screen.
the watch and time running out is a nice idea, maybe making it a bit bigger would've been a good decision for the sake of readability though.
other than that, great work
especially for a jam game!
certainly enjoyed playing it!

Thanks for the thorough feedback!

I really liked the art and that there's a story. I hope it doesn't sound rude but because your game is that polished I just can't list all positives so instead I'll list my only two critic points:

  1. What felt a bit weird is that you can't just skip the animation of the text appearing. That would be nice.
  2. Also the button to button to close the map isn't that easy to find the first time.

Your feedback is very welcome, and be sure that post jam these 2 points are on the top of our priorities to fix 😊

Thank you for playing!

Cool idea!  The art was really nice and I really liked the concept of picking/rolling different dice in a particular order to try and match a constraint.

Glad you liked it!

The presentation is stunning, in particular the visual and sound when you pick up a new dice.  Felt super polished. As others said the text felt like it got in the way at times, the cartoon almost comic book style is stunning so I wonder if speech bubbles could have worked as a really compact way of managing the text.

Interesting puzzles and makes you think about the order you roll in. Made me think about what if there could be negative consequences for missing a roll but not sure how that would play out!

Other than the time you lose when rolling a useless dice there is none but that could be a good mechanic.

Good D&D game design! I love different functions' dice.

Thanks!

Really cool and creative idea! The artstyle is amazing, I really like the cartoonish look and the cutscenes! Very nicely done, good job!

Thank you :)

This was spectacular. The presentation was great, and giving the dice only three options made the randomness feel very manageable. I wish there was a button to skip the text crawl, and there were some bugs when you re-visit explored tiles, but outside of that this was flawless. Amazing work!

Thanks a lot for the kind words :)

Neat game, fantastic presentation! I found the dialogue to be a bit annoying as others have stated (specifically the slow animation and being unable to skip it). One suggestion I have that I don't think was mentioned yet -  left justify your dialogue text. Having it centered makes it very hard to read while the text is still populating as the words are actually moving around, so I feel like I have to wait for the entire animation to finish before I can start reading. Made the game feel much more wordy and slower paced.  Otherwise, great game!  Well done.

Thank you for testing :)

Stunning game. I love the character all the dice have and the art is fantastic! My bit of feedback is to let players skip text animations. It felt like it disrupted the games flow.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing. The version after the game jam will probably have that fixed as it's a simple yet necessary QOL improvement.

A beautiful game with a nice idea! I found the dialogues quite annoying, especially when I was forced to backtrack and read the same thing all over again, so I just skipped it from then on. I like the concept of meeting different conditions and using your dice to get there, but it feels unexplored: personally, I would way rather do a bunch of rolls and introduce the new dice slowly, than wait for the transitions and crack through the story. It was still a nice experience though and congrats on making it!

Developer(+1)

Hey there !! Thanks for playing <3

For the dialogues, this is a last minute bug unfortunately :/ Of course, they wouldn't be played again and again, but this bug appeared just before the deadline, while we fixed an other bug that would crash the game...we had the time to prevent the game from crashing, not to correct the other one :( we do agree it's not ideal, we already have a fixed version coming for after the jam!

For the second point, I completely see your point! And I guess it's all a question of point of view. As a player, I loved exploring worlds, universes, environment, I'm a narrative-lover, as long as narrative comes with a bit of gameplay (as such, I loved Danganronpa, or the IA / 999 games for example!). Hence, I loved the idea of exploring and discovering the dices, with the game being only exploration and unraveling this charming little world!

But a game were you start with all dices would place the gameplay somewhere else, and the interest on the diversity of challenges proposed, the difficulty of them! That's all a very seductive idea (which might be great implementing at somepoint!), but to be fair time would probably have ran out before we made that game interesting.

Nonetheless, I see you point and am in a major agreement with you! Thank you so much for your time and for you constructive feedback, we're glad you liked the game :D
