holy crap I love this game

rolling for moves gets irritating though

Developer

Thanks for your love! This is the best reward, yep, we see that players don’t want to roll and roll, something else should be there as well. 🙂

Really adored the presentation on this one, while the gameplay demands little in the way of strategy the overwhelming presence of the Dice King made it a fight to behold.

Very cute game! I love the feeling of throwing the dice, it will feel even better when you make the number match the real outcome -- just like a real tabletop game. The art and atmosphere are very charming, and the random events are fun.

This game has some of the coolest dice mechanics I've seen! I love the exploratory nature of the game and felt like I was really on an adventure. The visuals are just perfect and it's so cool to see the dice interact physically with the player's world (I kept wanting to throw dice at the enemies' heads haha). Really fun, the only thing I would say is after a little while I lost the sense of progression and I couldn't stick with it much after that. I want to come back and play though! Overall, awesome effort and good luck, I can't wait to see what's in store next for your team and this game :)

I would appreciate if your team would check out my submission and provide any feedback you have, I am trying to gauge interest to see if I should continue further development too!

Huge thanks for a detailed feedback! My perception is that we went exploring the same design area with our jam entries, which feels really cool! Appreciate your comment on the sense of progression, it resonates with my own subjective impression as well.  Would be outstanding if you try the updated version! We're uploading it when the voting ends. :)

Will keep an eye out for it! Thanks for taking a look at my game :)

Awesome concept with incredible presentation! For a 48-hour jam, this is really great. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks that you took your time to play and comment, Josh! And glad you liked it.

If you don't mind checking out my game, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Developer

Sure, here you go! And thanks again.

Nice and polished game but without end it is boring after a while.. Dice doesn't work when I roll 6 gives 2, when I roll 1 gives 5 and Dice is little bit heavy. Other things is perfect I loved it ^^

Developer(+1)

Well actually there is an ending there - you have to defeat a Boss, which spawns after you gain a quest from the NPC. But it's totally unclear now, I see. Anyways thanks a lot for playing and for the comment! Glad you liked it!

This one is a great game but after playing a while game gets very repetitive and feels very pointless. This can be evolved to an amazing game with more content and story if you guys keep developing. In this current state its great game for a jam.  Well done ^^

Really cute game! I wish there was a little bit more gameplay than just rolling and moving, but that's easy to expand on.

Submitted(+3)

I really like how the game looked :)

Submitted(+3)

Presentation is really neat, I really like the monster designs, and how the player has to physically roll the dice, even though there were times where you could kind of force the dice to land on numbers you want, so maybe needs to be more random? Overall a very solid entry!

Funny game idea with clean art!

I really love this game! A truly rng adventure all controlled through a roll of the dice. The polished look of the game was amazing. Looking forward to getting the bug fix and the update!

Developer

thanks for the kind words, we really appreciate it! Already working on bug fixes and update, going to share an updated build after the jam's end. :)

Wow, this game is so cool! The art and presentation was really amazing, and the dice roll is soo satisfying! The concept is really neat as well, and the exploration is really fun! I like how some squares are shown so you're kind of enticed to go towards it. I do wish there was the ability to pathfind diagonally, especially since the grid isn't entirely obvious. Still, I had a lot of fun playing. Nice job!

Loved the sense of exploration, can't believe a game like this was a two day project!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! We only used one pre-existing asset pack for stones, everything else was created from scratch in two days. Thank you for playing it.

The reset button is broken!

Loved the artstyle and the fun of wandering! Very cute little game!

The art is very good in this game, and in the cover image. That cover image really stands out compared to other entries.

Really liked the art and exploration. This is very impressive for a game jam product! If I had to suggest something, it would be to add more direction about what the player is supposed to do. I know it’s meant to be open-ended, but I felt a bit confused.

Overall, awesome job!

Developer

Thanks! I sensed Zelda / Undertale vibe in your game, and liked it, cheers. One of the first rooms to the left seemed to have blocked path, or it was a start of the combat.

I was definatly hooked on exploring the world! Would love to see more things in this world and more methods of getting there. The art is fantastic and super cute:) Definatly want to see this idea explored more:)

Great Game!

Developer

Thanks! I like how you define positions of enemies from the position of the dice in Dice Tower, cheers!

Nice concept! I liked the visuals and the idea fact that you actually have to toss the die yourself. FYI - there appears to be a typo in your instructions. They say to use the LMB to move, but only the RMB worked for me.

I really enjoyed the look of the game and exploring/the generation of more of the area and tiles!
