Really fun, easy to control game. Would like bigger bullets. Solid aesthetic.

Awesome game! Everything here is so well done, from the visuals to the combat itself. Feels really great to play. Nice work!

Great game overall ! Loved the visuals, it is SO PLEASING to move omg, and the game feelings is really juicy and fluid, good job on this take !!

Fantastic! The graphics are amazing, really love the old school look, music fits the theme very well and SFXs were quite nice too. Controls feel vivid and alive, there is a real sense of speed here. One of my definite favourites from all the games I've tried. One slight negative note though: for me it felt that the camera is a bit too high from the player, if it was lower and more behind, the view would be better and enemies could be seen more easily. Oh, and also I loved the smoke trail effects and the explosions! Super cool!

We'd greatly appreciate if you checked out our game as well :)

The  low res 3d mimiking retro art style is beautiful and outstanding.  It's visually joyful to drive around in this game.  the shooting is ok. it may be better if the camera is wider so that i can see enemies better.

it does freeze sometimes. but just a little

Using the page banner as the background is genius. All round great game with only a few stutters to begin with (might be the preprocess on the particles?)

Developer(+1)

yeah not sure why the stutters are happening. The particles are all pre-compiled and cached on the game start... its probably some funky godot web-GL stuff I need to change :P

Submitted(+1)

really nice visuals, just wish the camera was a bit wider to see more the enemies. Congrats on the game!

love the old school vibe with a touch of contemporary. the web version did glitch the first time through but the second time around was smooth. would appreciate a "guns down", broader "explore the planet" version of this some day as the land-speeder mechanic was top notch.  thanks for sharing!

I really loved the visual presentation of this one! The use of the shader really elevated the quality of it all, If it had a few more additions like better camera control, and more easily visible bullets, this game would stand out even more! But great game in general!

The controls of the ship is very good . but i think the game would look better without the pixel filter.

Pretty cool game! The movement felt really good and the game was really good! Could you please rate my game?

This one is amazing !

I really like the low poly/low res presentation and the hovership's design is super cool :D

Gameplay wise everything feels smooth and easy to handle, i was a bit worried at first when i saw there was no strafing just turning, but that was instantly dissipated by the fact that you actually made a full 360 degree turret instead of front fixed guns, it feels so satisfying to manoeuvre around enemies and sometimes even score some backwards kills while moving away for the next run.

If i had to nitpick, i'd say the only tiny downside i found was overall visibility,

i feel the camera angle's a bit too much tilted towards the ground so it can be hard to see what's around you and this also puts the ship right on the top of the screen rather than the middle. and the 2 hud bars can sometimes also get in the way so here it could be nice to have them a bit more transparent to help with visibility.

Other than that it's super solid and really fun to play, i had a blast and played up to wave 12, but sadly couldn't go further cause i found a glitch :

i heard shots when in wave 12 after clearing most of the ennemies and i couldn't find where there were and eventually i found them there. Not sure what happened here, this was with the download build, just reporting so you know.

Even with this unfortunate bug still a really cool game, so congrats and well done :)

Thanks for the feedback, I totally agree the auto controlled camera can be a bit restrictive sometimes. I experimented with some more camera control but it was difficult since you aim with the mouse as well, and prototypes were restricted by time and were quite buggy. I did experience that bug during testing... for some reason when you get to higher levels where there are a lot of enemies, they have a small chance to spawn inside each other and sometimes go flying into the sky. I don't have a fix yet but will probably update it after the jam results are in :)

I love the style of the game since it reminds me of the style of Star Fox for the snes. When started I encountered some studdering issues especially when shooting but it stopped after a few seconds. The gameplay is different when you compare it to the other games in the jam because it is rare to see 3D ones. In this case I just couldn't get the hang of it because I just kept running around in circles which prevented me from getting hit. It's difficult to make a 3D bullet hellt game for sure and in this case I think it would've been better if there were patterns to dodge like in Enter The Gungeon. I did enjoy the game overall and liked the sounds aswell. Good job!

Developer(+1)

thanks for the feedback! I wanted to avoid bullet patterns for my game, making a more chaotic unpredictable bullet hell game. I do think you are right with some exploits to avoid being hit, and given more time would like to solve this by adding more variation of enemies with different attacks such as grenade, lasers etc. being harder or using different techniques to avoid.

Well play ! Nice entry !

Very cool 3d pixelated effect, the particles with it looks amazing!
I like the simple gameplay, wish there was something a little bit more to it tho. The theme interpretation was kinda meh but all the other aspects were solid enough to make it up for me.

Awesome juice, awesome submission, great job!

Developer(+1)

yeah the theme interpretation was definitely a bit meh. I intended to do something more interesting with a canyon walls closing in but I just ran out of time :P

I loved it

Awesome looking game!

Really liked the looks of it, but found it hard to dodge incoming projectiles in an effective way.

I liked it! The low-resolution 3D style is one of my favorites and fighting with spaceships is always fun haha. While simple, I feel like that's its greatest strength, there aren't any complex systems to manage or take care of, it's a fun arcade-like experience!
