Impressive animations and graphics. I was confused on the gameplay but then was suprised how the matching functions worked. I thought I was supposed to move one block but its the whole rows like a rubics cube. Honestly really creative mechanics and have to give props for that. My only gripe with it is I think the color pallete could use some more contrasting colors. It was a little difficult to them apart quickly but maybe its my screen here. Other than that, solid concept and execution. Great job!

My entire experience in this game was mostly on the right side of the screen matching blocks.

I paid very least attention to the other side of the screen which it always handle well and all i did was match up blocks on the right screen. it was honestly not that much fun.

But I really like the game feature and visuals. Everything in this game look nice with effects and such.

I like a concept. It's satisfying to complete and destroy hut

I like the sounds. But thank you for the Music slider also. Because i then can keep the sfx. It is fun to play. I did not see this idea before.

This is insanely good. Possibly my favorite of the jam as well.

Amazing game! It looked like a tower defence but it was a bit more like an autobattler mixed with tower defence, amazing concept! The only problem I had was that on the first wave the ai refused to put town towers until I leaked a few enemies was that intentional?

Developer

Hm, not sure why that happened, it does seem like a weird bug. Still, at least the towers started being placed eventually! I'll look into that one. And thank you for the comment!

On first glance I thought I was going into a tower defense game, but after playing it I really enjoyed the concept. solid all around, although I noticed the unity web player/itch gave you that weird boarder thing. if you go into the index html and switch the <body> to   <body style='margin: 0px;'> it should clear it up for you

...This is news to me - I've always wanted to get rid of that little border, and at this point I'd sort of accepted it as something constant, but I didn't realise it was this simple to fix! Thank you so much for telling me this, it's brilliant.

Pretty solid entry! It's really complete, it's impressive!

Playing quite some times, I felt more focused on the puzzle (that's logical)

The colors from the tiles were difficult to distinct, the 2 greenies first for the green proximity and then the dark grey.  I thought they were fixed blocks put to add more difficulty (but it wasn't). It's only at the end that I saw the differents scoring at the top.

It was enjoyable to see the tower defence self-managing but I would've liked to have some time to watch it and help it when needed. I felt really absorbed by the match4 grid and it's a bit pity. Nothing bad for the jam entry, just real feedback from my first experience :) I hope it'll help!

You game makes me think a bit of Bumbo by the dev of Binding of Isaac.

Congrats and keep going :)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Those are both good points, the gameplay could use a bit of tweaking there, but I'm glad you enjoyed the rest!

I love it a lot, probably my favorite game of the jam! Both themes are so different yet go so well together! The concept is awesome and the execution is also fantastic! Can't believe you did it in 3 days!

Really awesome synergy of genres! I thought the overall gameplay went pretty well for me, although I'd have to say being focused on the match-up board left me wanting to look over and watch what was happening on the defense side! The graphics and audio are perfect for the atmosphere you were going for. Really nice work!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked the atmosphere - good to know those hours tweaking graphics paid off! And yeah, the game did get a bit one-sided, even just a break to look over at the tower defence section would've been a nice addition. Still, it's good to hear that you liked the rest, and thank you for the comment!

This game was very fun, and I really loved the art! A problem I saw was the entire time I was focused on the matching side and barley payed attention to the tower-defense. To make the tower defense more interactive I would make it so the bot just chooses the tower types and you decide where to place them (just what I would do).

Developer

That's a good idea, definitely would've brought the two halves together a bit better, thank you for the suggestion!

Holy, this is genius for a three day jam game. This is a genre mash I've never seen before yet it works so well, having to quickly make moves to spawn new defenders is a blast. It looks AMAZING, polished and overall a fun time. One thing I would like to note is that you've got a very blue green color palate and despite it working really well on the tower defense portion I do think the colours are a bit too closely resembling to eachother for a match 4 game. Either way there's a lot of content here and I'm excited to see where this ranks!

Developer

Thank you so much! The colour palette definitely was a slight issue, and I was torn between having everything fitting nicely together or just having a bunch more colours for the match 4 section - the colourblind mode was a bit of a compromise, but I agree I could've sorted that better. I'm glad you like the rest, though, and thank you for the comment!

Great game and very fun.

I love the idea of getting resources by using another minigame. Stylish and fun, everything is great in this one.

Developer

Thank you!

good idea and implementation. This game deserves to be in top of jam

Submitted(+1)

A very nice little game, actually!

I like the concept of indirectly giving resources to a Tower Defence system, and trying to create the needed resource yourself.

And the minigame for that, the sliding puzzle, I found very neat: it's different than the sliding blocks I usually expect, and I thought it felt nice to watch em slide across the screen.

Very relaxing to play really - you lose yourself in the blocks, check to have resources assigned... and just vibe, really. The colors, SFX and music really helps!

Awesome entry overall, I like it a lot!

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Amazing, truely amazing ! I really liked the art and the sound effects/music fits really well in the game.

But, because I really liked the concept, I will give a few things that frustrated me while playing :

What I like about tower defense is to watch my army of towers destroy waves of ennemies. But during the game, you can’t just sit and watch, you have to upgrade and upgrade, without looking at the core game. So maybe, it could be fun to stop the process of playing for the last wave? The player would just be able to watch his towers doing the job! :)

Again, it’s a very good game, especially in only 3 days. Good job mate

Developer(+1)

That's a great idea! It'd add to the challenge of things too; you'll have to rely on your defences so far for the last wave, and just watch and hope, which would be a brilliant final challenge. Thank you for the idea, and thanks for the comment!
