Use of the limitation
It's a chaos of letters spawned in all directions, you have to create english words with them to clear the screen and get points. If you run out of words, chaotic will provide you more ideas.

I enjoyed this a lot, was dissapointed when it went to game over and I had to give up on my half words.

Developer

haha, I’m glad you liked it. IMHO I had to add a limit (the 50 letter overload) otherwise the player could be waiting indefinitely and I wanted a sense of urge. I also had in mind a way to reward long words but I didn’t have enough time

Wow, I enjoyed this game a ton! Great concept, plenty of chaos at the end. I definitely felt overloaded - in all the madness to find words, I forgot I could shuffle letters! Will be suggesting this game to friends who love word games, and I'll be back to play more.

I really like this game, one of my favourites, Is the spawn of the letters is totally random? I thought it would be easy but it is really hard. I think I'll come back to it once in a while because it is a nice grammar exercises as well! haha good job :D

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks for playing I’m glad you liked it. The spawn is random but you can shuffle (also random) up to three times the spawned letters. There are (slightly) more chances to get vowels though.

Submitted

Yeah yeah I know I can change the letters, I did, I tried to build long words that I liked to test the dictionary ahah I was just curious if it was procedural or totally random :D I get it now, more weighted on vowels

Submitted

Very fun despite the simple look.

Really cool idea, was fun trying to move the letters about trying to fit them without them joining any other word. I wish there was a remove letter option though!

I love your idea, it's a nice twist on word games! The gamefeel when we assemble letters is really nice.  I had issues at the begining because I had no vowel for a long time, but then I remembered I could just shuffle letters and that did the job perfectly. Great work!

I like the cute sounds.

Brilliant idea, I love it! I like how the game is a tactical version of scrabble; you have to match letters up to make words, but also maneuver them around, make sure they don't collide, search the screen for the right letter - it gets very tense towards the end of the game! It definitely fit the theme well too, it was a little funny having this easy-going music in the background whilst I was rushing to find an R or a D. It was definitely a fun experience though, with a really strong concept behind it! Well done on this game, it was fantastic.

This was brilliant! Having played a few word games in the past this could be something really fun if you decide to fully flesh it out. like a moving scrabble. Areas of improvement could include a timer in the lower left hand side and some sort of indicator maybe a color change when the tile cannot be changed any further. All in all great work!

Developer

Hey thanks for the feedback! The individual tiles change the color when you cannot shuffle them, but it’s a clear grey, maybe too subtle.

A bit buggy, but the concept is incredible, and your presentation is classic.

First I didn't understand how to build the words. But when I did I loved it and played it several times. Nice idea and mechanic!

Really awesome take on the limitation. I was on the struggle bus for the first few rounds trying to get words made before the screen was filled with letters! As usual your music/sounds are really spot on, and I especially liked the ol' Mac quack when my attempts get shot down. Nicely done!

awesome game! I would never thought of making a word/letter game

Really enjoyed this, its fast and chaotic enough to be fun but still easy to understand. I did have some cubes attaching together from far apart on occasion causing spaces in words, but this was the only issue I had with the game. Music, art, concept, all phenomenal!

I love it a lot! It's like scrabble, but way more chaotic! The idea is super fun! I wish there was a way to separate letters though, sometimes you accidentally fuse two together and then you can't make a word with them. But that just adds to the chaos! Great job! Also I love the music and the sound effects a lot

Developer

Hey thanks, as I said below I had that dilemma but I think it’s part of the fun. I could limit the separation maybe?

Submitted

No actually, been playing some more and I actually like the permanent mistakes! It's like Tetris, where messing up once makes it harder to win! And the jam's theme is Chaos, so...

Submitted

Sometime the game breaks and you can make letter combinaisons that are impossible.

Submitted

Interesting concept and suited the theme and limitation well. Liked the style and audio as well. Would have been nice to be able to unattach blocks as it get a little cumbersome after a while .

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. I honestly considered the unattach mechanism but then I thought it would be too easy? Maybe it could be ok to avoid accidentals links, but… avoiding undesired attachments is part of the fun I guess.

Submitted

Maybe similar to limit or the number of times you can change a letter maybe you could have up to 3 'unlinks' per playthrough. But its really hard to balance a game in such a short amount of time in a game jam.

Developer

Exactly. I thought of limited “unlinks power”, maybe you could get it by completing long words. I should also give more points for long letters, otherwise you end up doing 2-letter words haha! (if, at, us, me,…)
