Very nice & relaxing game. Really loved the idea & the chill ambiance.

Only little thing I would add is the possibility to skip the rotation (sometimes there's just nothing interesting to rotate)

Appart from that very good works, I had a very nice time playing your game :)

I really really loved this little game! The over all feel was so relaxing and the mechanics worked so well!! I’m very impressed!

Two things that niggled at me, though… The first was that after placing a tile, I get to make three hex rotations, which is very cool, but there were times I simply didn’t want to do that, and there was no way to skip the rotation process. For the most part, this isn’t a huge issue, but just a simple key to skip the rotation part would have been a nice touch.

Paradoxically, I noticed that after I placed my last tile, I didn’t get the option to rotate! The MO up to that last move was, “place tile, rotate hexes”, but the last move didn’t give me the rotation part. I think that last move should have still allowed me my chance for rotation (if I choose to take it) just in case I saw an opportunity for more points (or screw up my score)

Over all, those are very minor issues and love this game!

Thanks for the feedback! Watched you play my game :)

And yea, fully agree with the critique. In the final release I'm planing on allowing you UP TO 3 rotations per building placement, with a small panel on the side allowing you to pick your next building whenever. And then just an "End Game" button after the last building so you can use however many of those 3 rotations as you want.

Great job, of course it reminds me of Dorfromantik + rotation :) However, the style is great and I can see some potential if you continue with the development. Keep it up, great job!

Great job! I normally get a bit overwhelmed by this kind of games. It's well thought out and nicely executed. My only complaint is I wish I could pan the camera position and not just move it (i.e. move the angle) and probably the in-game font. Amazing job, congrats!

Developer

You should be able to pan the camera by holding down your right mouse button and moving the mouse. Unless you mean something else?

If I recall correctly, when you hold RMB it allows you to change the point the camera is looking at (which, combined with zooming out, allows you to see more of the terrain). However you cannot change the point the camera is on (that's what I mean by "panning", maybe it's not the right term). In many RTS  and sim games you can do this by holding middle mouse and moving.

Once I worked out what the challenge was, I was hooked. Neat!

Really relaxing loved it wish the menu didnt pop up so soon after rotating as it feels a bit weird would be nice if you can click something to bring up that menu but this is nit picking honestly

Developer

Having it slide in from the side as a panel covering only a bit of the screen when the rotation was finished rather than started was also the original plan.. But ya know, time :)

Very interesting and original, i love it!!

I love strategy games and this is a unique one in a lot of different ways. It's fun to expand the kingdom and to plan ahead to build the best place possible. It's really interesting stuff and the combination of building and rotating was interesting. I think the next step is to add some immediate threat or sense of danger. It's fun to build stuff and maximize profits, but there's not much feedback. If you were defending your kingdom or hoarding supplies to survive the winter, it would give it a much stronger sense of success/failure. That's my two cents! Either way I love the core concept!

Very relaxing and fun game! Also a great music choice :) I like how the game is simple and easy to pick up, but still has a certain degree of complexity under the hood!

I would appreciate it if you played and maybe rated my entry :)

At the beginning I had an idea a little bit like that but I didn't know how to do it so I did something else. You made something really great with your idea ! Great work !

Ok but this is like really awesome. I'm a big fan of casual world builders like this and this was so fun! The tower tile was the easiest because I also had open field to plop it into haha. I did get a dock surrounded by three water tiles once! Thanks for sharing :)

Developer

Hah, yea. Unsurprisingly I didn't have much time for balancing, so the tower is probably a bit too easy to earn points with :)

Very Nice

Really cool concept. grat how you implemented the theme

Absolutely amazing. Unbelievable that you made this in 2 days. Super relaxing and soothing to play. Got totally lost in it and wish it kept going!

Seriously great job.

Thanks! With the feedback I've been getting it doesn't seem unlikely that I'll keep developing on it for a bit and give it a full release. Initially had it at 100 actions rather than the current 30, but figured people would like to be able to finish a game when rating :D

Submitted

Wohoo! Go for it! I think it has lots of potential! Totally makes sense about having it shorter for the jam, although I think people still would have played to 100 - it was that good 😁

Very nice. I like the rotation mechanic in use and the strategy gameplay loop.

Great visuals and game design. Gameplay needs a bit polishing but still feels like an indie published game.

Beatifully polished interactions and surprising depth to the gameplay!

Just....simply...awesome. Not entirely great how the popups come when you are in the middle of actions, but that is okay.

Great visuals, strategic, good design and incorporated the theme really nicely. I love the game :) My favorite so far!

Wonderful idea and nice execution. Is there a way to 'rotate' the camera? :)

Developer(+2)

Thanks! :D And yes, hold down right click and move your mouse

Smoother to play this way, thanks! :D (Although the numbers are always displayed in the same direction)
