amazing game ! it's a bit hard but otherwise i thought it was very fluid and fun, and a great take on the theme, well done !

Oh, this game is amazing! Just shy of a perfect score for me! The art and music are great, and the use of the theme is fantastic. I love how both sides play very differently.

I do have some issues with it though:

  • The purple bullets sometimes curve completely out of the way of an enemy, which is super annoying.
  • Offscreen enemies are nearly impossible to find, which makes it annoying to have to hunt them down. My best game had me survive a few minutes without finding any
  • The game would be great with a "last chance" few seconds of slowed time before you die in order to flip. Would make a great strategic option and feel a lot more fair. Right now I sometimes get blindsided by the bar completely filling without realising.
  • The transtition between the final score screen and the game start is too abrupt. I actually thought the game froze up.
  • The game needs a high score table, even just an offline one.

Aside from that, I had loads of fun with the game, even if it was slightly frustrating. I did also got a very nice high score ;P

So Juicy game! idk why this is so under rated! Great job! Check out mine too :)

I liked it! Somehow this was pretty high on the least rated page for me yet there are this many comments lol

Hey mate. Some feedback:

- I like how you put RMB on the first screen of the game. Don't ask why. I also like the JUICE.

- However, the game would sometimes lag when there were too many particles, so please chill out w/ the particles a bit.

- I could not move w/ WASD after dying once/twice/three times in the Web version, so I had to reload the page.

- The 50% speed text pop-up stays for too long, which made me lose focus once and die, which felt rather unfair.

- Please also let me full-screen, as RMB would sometimes open another tab that's not inside the game making me lose.

- The bullets go on a very weird way sometimes, which was kind of annoying.

- One time when I was close to getting to 300 points the enemies said "NAH NOT GOING TO SPAWN MATE", so I was kind of soft locked, which felt unfair. Update: okay so maybe the enemies spawned but I could not find them so adding some kind of "arrow" pointing to the enemies would be nice.

*- I also like how you added a SFX right before I'm about to lose, but some music would be nice as well.

Lastly, please add a high score counter. This is my high score:

Very Juicy! Excellent pollish! One the best games I played! Congratulations!

Fun and with great presentation, too! Maybe a bit of ambient music could have improved it. It was rather fast paced and a little confusing at first, but I got the hang of it. Good job!

Really awesome aesthetics - the game feels super polished and super clean.
The gameplay itself is also very satisfying!
Great work! :D

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

Your game was really good. Seemed very polished and was fun.

However, I would have liked some kind of pattern in the background. For me somehow the feeling of movement was not conveyed. The background also made orientation difficult.

But apart from that, a great game.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks, I noticed that too, which is why there's actually a pattern in the updated version. I uploaded some footage in a community post if you want to check it out.

I see that you uploaded it to web browser so i can finally rate it! The aesthetics are very appealing and uniform with the effects and sfx adding to the polish. Maybe if there was music it would be a bop. Overall good game!

Really awesome idea, holy cow. Love the use of the theme, and the visuals/polish was amazing. Maybe a little too hard for me at first though.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback :) I noticed that players weren't properly introduced to the mechanic which is why most were overwhelmed quickly. I tried to fix this issue and here is what it looks like in comparison:

Amazing visuals! the art is very simplistic, but the way you present/animate it is really impressive!
I struggled a bit with the difficulty curve since it already starts off quite hard :/
Would have been cool to either have a tutorial or just increasing the difficulty over time, so that you don't instantly die after 2 seconds the first few times you play it xD
(unless you start to spam your mouse buttons ^^')

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for your feedback :) Yeah, the base level difficulty is quite high in this game, not intentionally so; introducing the mechanic would've helped undoubtedly. With regard to rising difficulty, the game actually increases in difficulty over time; as you might have noticed, the health bar's movement speed increases regularly by 50%.  But I know what you mean, the base difficulty is simply too high.

i dont know how a game can be sooooo satisfying. The sounds and the visuals make a great combination and it just felt so nice to watch. Great game!

I didn't really understand the game in the beginning but after a while I did. Great job!

This may sound weird but if you wouldn't mind I would wanna ask you if you would wanna rate and play my game ;()

This was such a juiced up game! The idea of balancing the time you use a certain colour was very interesting and made the game pretty intense at times! Audio was amazing and the game felt great to play!

Really cool, juicy, and entertaining!

Was a bit weird at the start but its really cool!

You should add fullscreen on web :)

Developer

Thanks :D Yeah, I agree, it overwhelms you somewhat in the beginning.  Also, I had a couple of scaling issues, unfortunately, so I really can't add fullscreen for now. There's still the desktop version, though.

Cool the not fulscreen isnt really taking anything from the game so that i guess didnt bring the rating down for anyone :)

I tried to download it but game maker forces me to download it to my C drive, and whenever I tried to set it to my main download drive it wouldn't install.

Developer (1 edit)

I wouldn't know what to do about it except to install it on the C drive for now.  It's quite unfortunate that technical difficulties seem to arise during the installation; I hope you still give the game a chance despite the inconvenience. Thanks for mentioning it, though!

I will get my friend who also runs this account to try it.

Game looks interesting, but my computer gave me a warning that the Exe tries to change files on my computer, so I didn't run it :(

Developer (1 edit)

Hey, that doesn't seem to be a problem. A couple of friends downloaded and played it already and experienced no damage whatsoever. I hope this sounds reassuring and encourages you to give it a try nevertheless. :)

Developer

Hey, you can play it in your browser now if you haven't already launched the desktop version. :)

this is true for all games exported without an extra signature.. it's just a safety measure from windows since it doesn't know the developer
I.e. it's safe to download ;)

Submitted

Yeah, it normally gives me a warning, but this time it gave me a permission to modify files request so I denied. But I'll try the browser version
