I really liked the way you implemented the theme. This is a cool game!

Audio
I did some sound effects, but the music is not composed by myself

The art style is simple, and unique with the book really good. The music is a little quiet compared to the sfx, I didn't realise it was there at first. The level design was puzzling and had a satisfying knowhow to complete it, with only some things being finnicky. Not an overused concept either too, only seen one other game in this jam do it. Very enjoyable, got to the end!
To make your narrative puzzle platformer take place inside of a book is a neat idea. As far as the theme goes, you hit the nail on the head. Not only is the page-turning mechanic original, but you also managed to design a bunch of interesting/non-repetitive puzzles. To top it all off, the music is pleasant and fits well. However, there are a few things I noticed that might help you improve. While the core mechanic was engaging enough to keep me engaged, I probably would have stayed longer if the movement felt polished and satisfying in itself. I didn't exactly feel in control at all times since the collision boxes weren't checked accurately. Furthermore, I noticed the secondary jump button (space) also triggered the menu during fullscreen mode; this is more of a bug report than anything else, though. It seems to be the case in both the web and desktop versions, by the way. Leaving those nit-picky remarks aside, you did great, and I'm glad you participated ;)
thanks for the feedback, I guess you didn't like the late-jump mechanic, where the player hovers a bit until he falls. I noticed the "bug" with space late aswell. It's just default behaviour if you use buttons in godot. if you never open the settings the bug does not appear though.. space is the default key to activate the last active button in godot.. kinda annoying.
I improved the jumping mechanic and fixed a lot of bugs (including the one you mentioned in an improved version.
If you want, you can play the improved version already (it's linked on the itch page, or you can click here) but don't base your review on it ^^'
Beautiful pixel art and a brilliant main gameplay mechanic! Fits the theme of the jam perfectly and makes for extremely interesting puzzles!
Really fantastic work! :D
Amazing game! I loved playing this one, I've played this more than any other submission!
Excellent take on the theme, and I really like the picel art style you made! The core gameplay felt really good, and an impressive amount of levels for a jam game. There was just one thing that felt frustrating in the game and it was the item physics, which made the penultimate level a bit irritating when the cube felt over and over of the moving platform. But that's overall the only real default that the game had to me, the rest is, overall, excellent. A little improvment I would think of too would be to pick up item with Q instead of taking those as we step on it to avoid taking it back by mistake.
Surely one of the most solid entry of the jam, well done!
This game was super cool! I saw you post progress on the page flipping in discord and it's amazing to see the game got this far! The puzzle design is smart and challenging while the mechanics were very easy to learn, which is great! I can definitely see this getting in the top 10!
woow this game is soooooo clever i didnt realise it at first but when I saw that your actually switching pages I was just blown away. Its beautiful, it truly is the theme and I just love it .
if you wouldn't mind, could you maybe rate my game because I'm in desperate need of some ratings.
Awesome, I wanted to play this ever since i saw the discord page flip. Nice game, very cute and clever puzzles making use of the flip mechanic.
Amazing game! Very creative use of the theme and your game mechanics!
