How does your game fit the theme?
The slimes you play have to join together to finish the level. Joining makes the slime larger, which affects gameplay.

Big fan of the jiggly blob! Great tutorial, had a lot of fun with this. Good job!

The physics were fun to try to figure out. From reading the comments, the fact that the slime’s contact surface area contributes to jump power was extremely good to know and helped me get through the high jump level. In the tutorial I didn’t understand the timing.

The more advanced levels worked well when I was following the same path as the author, and less well when I was trying to work out what to do. The physics didn’t lend themselves well to other solutions to the level. For example, the one with the flinging, where you’d be launched off incorrectly unless you were at the correct spot and pressed jump at the correct time.

Trying to be precise in this isn’t very fun, so I think levels that focused around speed rather than precision in this would be a lot less frustrating and more enjoyable. Do you plan to do anything else to this game after the jam is over?

Overall though, solid game. Thanks for making it.

Thank you a lot for a thorough review! Yep, I do have post-jam plans on the game, and polishing and fine-tuning the controls and level design is of prime importance.

Best of luck!!

This is very nice idea, and I love everything about it, except that the jumping was very intuitive.
Is it related to how many contact points I currently have or something? Cause it felt very random, made me quit at the levels with the rotating platforms, sometimes I jumped over a whole platform and landed on the next, other times I could not make a jump only a bit wider than my character.

Anyway, this is really cool, great base for a game.

Developer(+1)

You guessed it exactly, it depends on the number of contact points. True that jumping needs more polishing, thanks for your feedback!

Really polished game, I really appreciated the intuitive tutorial symbols which helped me grasp the basic concepts, great work!

Cool concept, reminds me of Loko Roko for the psp.

Cool concept! The mechanic with the high jump was super original, you can build a platformer only off that!

That being said, the jump was a bit buggy for me, and it is very important in a platformer. But other than that it was a really cool concept, with a lot of room to build upon!

Well done!

Yay, slimes! Really clean physics that work well. I think the level design is a bit harsh, too difficult for a jam game. I do like how you have the player return to the start point, like a Super Meatboy level.

This is a super cool idea! I think my mind was just blown at that level where I realized you can turn the slime feet inward and change the properties of the blob like that!

Feels like this has a lot of potential. I unfortunately did not make it past that level. I kind of managed to jump through once, and was almost at the flag but slipped right back down!

Super cute and the idea to have the player collect something that changes how they play on the way back to the goal is really cool! If anything I wish the jump was slightly more consistent but I had a ton of fun!

Really solid (worst joke so far) game! Mechanics are great and I spent a very good time finishing the game. The character is responsive and feels good to control, a pleasure.

The sound can be a little more bit refined but otherwise it is a very good job!

Love the soft body controller! The different modes and the levels were all well thought out too. Had a bit of a hard time jumping sometimes, but otherwise great game!

I love that physics Character feel is very good but it's really hard for me

Awesome physics game! I really like that it has those different “fluid” and “sticky” modes, and that some levels are more like simulations to showcase those properties, but still very challenging. The only thing that I’d ask for is dark mode. :-)

yes, a soft-body physics game!  really great game, and I agree a perfect speed run game :)

I really liked the level design, and the various mechanics!  Perhaps a slightly loose interpretation of the theme, but as the self-appointed ambassador of soft-body based games, I hardly care!  Great job!

Very fluid and smoot controls, but wonky at times but im not suprised if this doesnt see a little speed running community soon behind it :) Nice work!

I like the concept, but had a hard time controlling the slime.
