Truly a labor of love. I can't even imagine how crazy this world would be to explore in VR.

Developer(+1)

Aw man, I'd love to get this set up in VR! Your game was awesome (if a little rage inducing) too :)

Submitted(+1)

The art and presentation on this game is gorgeous.  There are a couple of points where when swapping I could clip through some of the geometry, but with short amount of time available this is totally understandable. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Yeah totally. We had a system built for making teleportation fail if you clip inside geometry but it wasn't fully set up and working when we hit our deadline. Thanks for playing and I'm really glad you enjoyed the art. I'll give your game a look too :)

This game is beautiful! Very original take on the theme. I love the graphics, the music, and the switching mechanics. My only complaint is movement - it felt a bit clunky. But otherwise fantastic game! :-)

Developer(+2)

Thanks! I really wish we'd been able to polish the controls slightly more for sure. Really glad you enjoyed it. I'll check yours out as well

Submitted(+1)

Really nicely polished game! I got a bit lost a few times so maybe some torches or campfires that indicate the best route would help but other than that this is a really nice short and sweet 3d platforming game! The animations and aesthetic are really nice and smooth and very impressive considering it was all done in the 48 hours. Great game!

Developer(+2)

Thanks so much! Yeah I agree, more signposting wouldn't have hurt. I wish we'd done a bit more with the blue paint. Thanks for taking the time to check it out. Your game was super fun too!

Submitted(+1)

The game looks spectecular and it was a nice experience to reach the top. Loved the little animations and sounds as well. Gameplay-wise it could have done more and the controls felt awkward sometimes but overall great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I agree, I wish our platforming felt better, and that we'd had more time to refine the individual sections of our game. I'm glad you appreciated the visual, we were especially focused on making a beautiful game and we're proud of what we came up with. I'll give your game a look as well

Submitted(+1)

looks gorgeous! really cool idea and just the right length. the platforming felt a little jank though. many times i couldn't tell if what i did was intentional or i missed the puzzle. music was nice though very loud towards the end. Good Job!

Developer(+1)

I really enjoyed your game as well. Definitely agree about the controls and the volume, there's room to polish. Glad you enjoyed the visuals :)

There's just something about this game I love. It vaguely reminds me of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in a way. The art style is very simplistic, and yet it's somehow refreshing, and is reminiscent of cel shaded art. This also gave me a lot of idea of how it could be expanded into a multiple level game, like Ice Climber. Great work, and I hope you'll expand on it in the future.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I'm a fan of Zelda, so it's makes me happy to hear that! We could definitely see it expand as well :) Maybe in the future!

Absolutly LOVED it. Great concept, Great execution, great level design.

This game definetly deserve to be played by way more people.

Little tiny microscopic feedback : Jumping too close to a wall makes you kinda stick to it and can make it a bit frustrating for some obstacles, maybe reduce the stickiness of the walls a little bit to make the experience even smoother.

Great work, hope to see more games like this one.

Developer

Thank you so much! We've been sharing it here and there, but we're still new to game jams! Feel free to share it to your friends, it'd mean a lot to us!

I agree with the controls, and we'll use what we learned this jam to improve next time :)

Submitted(+1)

Your game is so pretty! I really liked the idea, too, unfortunately, I couldn't progress too much because the controls were a bit wonky (and I suck at platformers).

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Your feedback will help us improve the next time around! :)

Submitted(+1)

The visuals of the game are amazing! The idea of connecting two different dimensions and switching between them to progress is also very interesting!

I had a few problems with the controls though, my character would get stuck in rocks/tress and sometimes would clip through them, and when it would fall down sliding down a rock, it would go very slow. I think the character controller needs some improvements

Other that that, this was overall an awesome entry to the jam! Great job!

Developer

Thank you! We brainstormed a lot to get to this idea. We're happy to hear you find it interesting!

I agree with you regarding the controller. We learned a lot this jam to improve next time around! :)

THE COUNCIL WILL DECIDE YOUR FATE

I really loved this game. Amazing job!

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Hahaha this is everything, thank you. I'll be sure to give your game a look too!

This was a really fun play. The it took me a minute to realize i was supposed to interact with the hourglass. Maybe some visual feedback or tutorialization would help here. After I figured that out I was blown away when I first "joined" the crystals "together". Really cool way of incorporating the theme. I will say that the colliders were pretty rough on the 3d platforming, especially on the elevators.

Overall I had a lot of fun playing this game!

Developer(+1)

Those are fair criticisms. I'm glad you had fun despite the rough edges.

Submitted(+1)

Very beautifull aesthetic! Controls where kinda hard, but overall really cool concept and game! ^^

Developer(+1)

Thanks!!

Submitted(+1)

Really enjoyed playing the game. The concept is very very nice. The environment and the art are amazing too. Only the jump mechanics need to be improved and then this game could easily be published

Developer(+1)

Wow thats a big complement thank you. Totally agree about the jump. I'll be sure to give your game a look as well

Submitted(+1)

Hey this is really nice! Cool to see a first-person game and a very creative and lovely one at that! Such a unique mechanic and it fits the theme perfectly. Could definitely be developed into a full game. Couple things (besides tighter jump controls but completely understandable given the jam time) that could be nice are 1. maybe a little more of a clue to click on the hour glass thing in the very beginning. I know I could just be dumb and 95% of people probably got it first time, but I swore I tried clicking it a couple times (maybe I only clicked the table part?) and it didn't do anything so I just continued along the island for a couple minutes till I couldn't go any farther, then I walked back. 2. Perhaps some sort of quick warp mechanic if you fall far. I fell once pretty much to the bottom. Luckily I must have activated some steps to get back up but it still took like another 30 seconds to reach the original place again. Of course these are very nitpicky gripes. Overall the game, setting, and ideas were all fantastic and you all deserve a ton of praise for what you have accomplished. Excellent job!!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks so much! It definitely could use more polish, but we're really proud of how far we got over the 48 hours. I'll give your game a look too

Loved it.

This game is absolutely beautiful. Really impressed with what you were able to complete in 48 hours.

I feel like all this needs is slightly less janky jumps/collisions, maybe some collectibles (unless there are some and I just missed them), and it's done.

Or you could take it in a oracle-of-seasons direction and make it more puzzly. I think it's fine just being a chill, beautiful walking simulator, though.

It made me so happy when the music came in at the end, I just let it play out after beating it. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words. I totally agree with your criticisms, and I might just polish this up once I've recovered from the jam a little more! Your game was awesome too! Total Baba is You vibes

Submitted(+1)

This game was SO BEAUTIFUL. The atmosphere and the animations and the entire world building were so good. A lot of games take the theme of swapping between two worlds, but I can definitely say this is the best among them. I only wish that you picked maybe a color to represent when you swapped, so you could incorporate it more subtly than with the (still useful!) hourglass symbols. The path up the mountain was also really nice. I was gonna say it missed some ambient music, but the song when you hit the top was perfect. Definitely a sleeper game, would buy it if it had more puzzles!

Developer(+2)

Ahh I really appreciate it. The hourglass symbols were a little heavy handed but hopefully they kept the players on track. I really like the idea of an unseen other character who's left clues for you, but they could certainly be subtler if we had more time to polish. Thanks for taking the time to play our game!!

Submitted(+1)

Holy hell, this is probably the best game I've played this jam. The visuals are astoundingly beautiful, and the gameplay is really cool. I did notice that if I jumped while I was against a surface I would sort of "stick" to the wall, but amazing work!

Developer(+1)

You're too kind, thank you. We were really proud of the visuals.

Submitted(+1)

Beautiful presentation!

Developer(+2)

Thank you!

Nice job! I enjoyed switching between two environments as it created a unique atmosphere. The graphics too were really good and well made. Overall this was a solid entry and I had fun playing! :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks, really glad you enjoyed it! I'll check yours out as well!
