The chargable spirit flinging mechanic is really enjoyable! I bet you could get some way into the game by just flinging yourself through the level, but I didn't try.

What I did try was possessing a scientist, walking into a pit, then flinging my spirit out at the last second before reaching the incinerator.... and that was hilarious!

I didn't get far into the story, but the writing was good and the notes were amyusing! Great stuff.

Developer(+1)

Haha, there was a plan to have it so the player could kill everyone with the incinerator in the initial concept by doing that exact move! Glad you liked the game xD

Interesting mechanics. I like the innovation here.

I know it's tough doing a game jam, but if you continue working on this, one suggestion is be to allow the players a chance to orient themselves before they are required to take actions.

Yea, there was a plan to have the basement be the tutorial level with no real challenges, but due to the time contraint the office levels were reduce to just 1, we were going have multiple floors xD

I completely understand. It's hard to ship the game we want in such a short time.

I liked the story and setup and found the choice at the end to be a good conclusion. I was left intrigued by the gnome. The movement mechanic of the soul was a nice touch.

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it xD, the gnome was an nod to our the first GJL jam that we added for a bit of fun xD

Oh Gnomes! of course! I remember that game. I love a good Easter Egg like that.

Took me a while to figure out where to aim and I'm fairly sure I actually skipped most of the first two levels (and with it the story) with one lucky(?) shot, so on my 4th or 5th try I got to the end in about a minute which was somewhat surprising.

The game has a lot of really strong individual elements, as in - cute graphics, superb atmosphere, fun writing, complimented nicely by the music, just needs a little more time to tie this all up into a more coherent experience. I certainly wouldn't give up on this just because the jam ended, there's more life in this ghost. :)

Good stuff guys, nicely done!

Glad that you liked it. I was working away from the engine myself though I know our Unity part of the team were up against it with the deadline,  for both game and life reasons, so some things did ultimately end up on the cutting room floor.
I'm really glad you can see potential in it though,  I'd love to do more with it if the opportunity came up.

The initial cutscene should have a skippable option, but overall it feels quite nice to play. It has a lot of potential, it kinda reminded me of a Nintendo DS game called Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.

Glad you liked it, Yea like the previous commet, a cutscene skip would've been a good thing, we just ran out of time to add it. Thx for playing xD

The mechanic is interesting. I would have loved to have a skippable cutscene once you see it for the first time however it is a really great game!

Interesting mechanic in this game. Also loved the story.

I'm so glad people enjoyed the story!  The team graciously let me get my hands on the writing for the jam and it means a lot that people enjoyed how it worked out.
