Really had a lot of fun with this. The movement feels very polished, and each level add new interesting challenges and mechanics. I was pleasantly surprised each time a new feature showed up like the moving spikes or the bounce pads. I made it to level 6 and gave up, but this is one of those games I want to come back to and try to beat. Great job!

I think this is an amazing idea and I really enjoyed playing as the pink character. The problem for me was the lack of responsiveness in midair for the grey character. I gave up on the spike level after several cheap deaths there. Also, the lack of a checkpoint didn't help. I think you have an amazing concept here for a really cool, challenging platformer but the problem with making a hard game is that the controls and level design need to be absolutely spot-on. Nothing is more frustrating than dying a bunch of cheap deaths and then having to replay half the level because of a lack of checkpoints.

can you explain further with the gravity character issues, i definitely can see where the issue would lay in the fully functioning game because its more something you have to get used to than automatically feels great but the reason im asking is because theres a bug that only some people experience where sometimes the gravity wont flip on a button press. If you were experiencing this i reccomend you download the build and see if that fixes it

It was actually a lot better on the downloaded version. It was only a small difference but that made a huge impact and I managed to get through that spike section in level 3 on second try now. On the online version I felt there was a little extra delay when trying to change gravity midair and that made navigating the spikes nearly impossible. I still think some checkpoints would be nice. Maybe use the switches as such. Also, moving the camera back a little would be great. There are some blind jumps on occasion where you can't really see the ground beneath. And I found a bug on level 6. I fell down an early gap (I think it was the first one) with the pink character and didn't respawn.

Really cool game and very fun gameplay, i like that the characters have different abilities which make them both independantly useful but "stronger together" very smart take on the theme. The music is good but it gets a little bit repetitive in my eyes but still good! Liking the artstyle also and overall very solid game jam game entry. Great work!

I don't know if it's something only I experience but the controls are really wonky.

I couldn't even finish the first level because I couldn't reverse gravity in time. It's like once every 3 seconds I can either switch gravity or players.

But from what I've seen, nice artstyle. Cool idea. I wish I could have played it, but it seems like everyone enjoyed it, so that's fine and props to you!

  • It’s not very clear what character you’re controlling sometimes. I think there should be an indicator rather than a lighting effect

  • There seems to be mixels (mixing of different pixel art resolutions)

  • The tiles look good but I’m not a fan of the character sprites (specifically the colors). This may be minimised by removing the mixels though

  • There seems to be some kind of bug where you can’t flip gravity yet it still makes the sound effect. I’m not sure if there is a cooldown or not but it’s quite frustrating since sometimes I’m in mid-air and I just can’t flip gravity so I fall to my death

  • I’d recommend looking into things like coyote time and input forgiveness (if you haven’t already)

  • I think there should be some indicator for all the cooldowns e.g. the cooldown for switching character and the cooldown for flipping gravity (if there is one)

  • The eyes turning red when you can no longer jump is a good idea

  • I wish there was a way to restart the level (either a button, an option in a pause menu, or both)

  • It feels like the jam has a really tiny hitbox. Sometimes it looked like I hit it but in reality I didn’t

  • I’m not a fan of the jam’s “vanishing animation”

The flipping gravity and character changing bugs seem to only happen to some people? i wish i knew what was causing them, and the jam issue was known i just ran out of time to fix it before release.  but anyway thanks for all the feedback if i decide to fix all the bugs and issues after the jam i will definitely be using this

I think this is a good game! Having the two characters control differently is a breath of fresh air compared to the other games, but I will complain that it's too difficult to be completed for me, which is a shame because it's a unique idea.

this was definitely a little too hard for me but it was definitely a good game that was fun up until i got stuck, and the concept is nice! fits stronger together well and its cool they have different controls. like its been said, maybe the gravity is a bit too strong when falling?

The graphics are insane. I love the glow around the two players and the shadows that corners of walls give off as you go past them. The mechanics are very smooth and fun. I had trouble in that section with the sets of spikes going back and forth (even with shifting). Overall great game, I would definitely buy the game if it gets released.

Really cool platformer! I enjoy the difference between the characters abilities. The character abilities individually aren't completely new in platformer games, but the way you've mixed them was really unique and interesting.

Is there a trick to collecting the Jam? It refuses to pick it up :/ Looks promising otherwise! I like the idea of the minus block! Very cool! Maybe it's a browser thing, I'll try downloading it instead, usually more stable :)

i wasnt able to upload a version where the hitboxes are fixed in time but if you double jump into them from underneath they always work :)

I really like this game, it has great mechanics and great levels that explore those mechanics
