Very cool concept! I felt like a master of deception rigging the dugeons with bullet traps, then luring the monsters into a corner to activate them (although half of the time I would set a trap on myself cause I'm trash). It was fun, great job on the graphics too! I hope you plan on expanding this :D

Developer

Haha sounds really cool!! I widh I saw more people playing it in a video or so^^ Im glad you had fun, im kinda busy nowadays sadly, so i dont know a 100% about expanding yet, but i fixed  lot of bugs already

I really like the mechanic but I don't really know why to use it over just regular shooting. the art is fantastic as well as the atmosphere the game gives off. good job!

Developer

Rewindshots kill the enemys in one hit and using less bullets gives u a better score. Im glad you liked it :3

Great visuals. Liked the way you implemented the theme. Solid entry, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot, glad you liked it :)

I played through most of it without having to rewind. Was really fun. Liked the art work as well. Great submission!

Could you please play and rate my game as well?

Developer

Thank you! To make players use the rewind system, we made it so they get a worse score, the more bullets they use :) I am glad you liked it so much!

I am having fun with the rewind bullet mechanic. Really useful for trapping the enemies. Just little feedback, It would be good and more challanging if add the melee attack enemies. Overall Really fun and creepy game :D

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it :)

Fun concept! I found myself caught on the walls a couple of times unable to move, and the corpses tend to catch bullets but a really unique and well executed concept!

Developer

Thank you! I already fixed the bug on my Computer locally, but can only upload the fix after the rating period is over. I hope you still had  a nice experience!

The game is really spooky but lovable at the same time !! I played 2-3 levels without even worrying about the rewind mechanism, I mean the game at some point feels so intense that  i felt that  shooting enemies while doing a peekaboo is the best ideas. Well the heart skips a beat where there are  enemies more than the bullets and come to you in horde !! I would really like to know what path finding algorithm was used to make the movement so great !! The game is polished and feels so great !! Loved it and spooked very much !! Very good game !!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your dear feedback! I used gamemakers mp_grid system, and tweaked it so they would follow checkpoints and behave differently when attacking the player :)

Well packaged theme and execution!  The bullet rewind gave me some laughs when I killed myself with them. Nice touch. Great work.

Developer

So glad you like it!

Nice work on the bullet rewind mechanic! I've seen that done many times this game jam and you pulled it off the best!

Developer

Really? Wow this is really cool to hear! Thanks a lot :)

Very nice graphics to fit the tone and mood

Great Job!

Developer

Thank you. The art is something were especially proud of :3

Submitted(+1)

It was great and unique. Impressive. Made me play till the end.

Developer(+1)

Damn, thats very cool. Whats your score on some levels?

Submitted(+1)

Unfortunately I do not remember the score and don't know if I even look at.

Submitted(+1)

But to be honest it got pretty hard sometimes.

Really nice game. I love the graphics, sound. and the idea of moving away from the bullet when rewinding. The only suggestion I have is making it more apparent that you lost health. Other than that, awesome game!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I should make an indicator you got hit aside from the healthbar

This game was quite good. The rewinding bullet mechanic was very unique, the atmosphere was solid and the gameplay, while occasionally frustrating, was very rewarding (I especially appreciated the availability for depth with rewinding many bullets at once).  I honestly can't think of many critiques for this game, for it was very solid, though I did feel that this game might benefit from leaning more into its horror/creepy elements, for while the atmosphere was unmatched, the gameplay didn't fully reflect the atmosphere. Though I don't know if I would call this a critique, probably just a suggestion for the future. Good job!

Developer

Thank you, im glad you liked it!! Do you have any idea on how to make the horror theme more apparent?

Submitted(+1)

It's tough to say how exactly the horror theme could be emphasized here (outside of the general atmosphere from the art and audio, which already support this quite well), especially since the gameplay revolves around strategically killing the game's creatures somewhat frequently, which somewhat decreases the creatures' intimidation factor (which is something that I wouldn't want to suggest tampering with too much, because this gameplay also provides a decent amount of potential for mechanical depth, especially when multiple creatures could potentially be dealt with at once through strategically firing bullets and timing the rewind correctly). A few ideas come to mind for how to balance mechanical depth and atmospheric tension (though keep in mind I'm speaking purely from speculation, not experience, and so I could very well be wrong). Perhaps the player could be further incentivized to avoid getting noticed by the creatures (and potentially even hiding from the creatures if the need arose?), which could perhaps strengthen both strategy and creature intimidation. Uncertainty/tension could also be increased through potentially creating different types of creatures or through finding ways to further emphasize the dark. Though, again, this is just speculation. The current gameplay is very solid, and so I mainly only recommend these ideas if you wish to emphasize horror in this game.

Developer

awesome, ill think about it!

Submitted(+1)

Good game! I didn't understand how rewinding the bullets worked until a while. On that note, it makes me want to avoid utilizing the rewind feature since the bullets can also kill me. It felt like (intentional?) punishment for missing in the first place of my horrible aiming skills, but neat mechanic nonetheless! That's amazing that you made all the art graphic! Please check out our game too if you can, leave a comment and rate!

Developer

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! A lot of people said they like it so im not sure if i leave it in or not, but ill consider it when updating later!

Really cool game, rewind mechanic was a bit confusing at first, but after few tries i understood how it works

Developer

Thanks for playing!! Awesome :)

Hey, nice atmosphere in this game and good shading,  it's stunning, but just one thing that ruined my personal experience: commands  you can only play with D, A, W, S, as if everyone have a qwerty keyboard and i'm using azerty one... Each time you make a game try to make it comfortable to any player. But it's good!

Developer

I am sorry, I'll keep that in mind for later games! thank you for the compliments :)

Submitted(+1)

You know, this thing of qwerty commands even triple A games do it sometimes haha

Developer

I sadly never got to programm a button keymap, and to make it consistent with the style we were aiming for with the game, it would have not been possible scopewise.. but ill keep it in mind!

Perfect game, I don't think there is some flaw at all! Design is on point, really nice. Game design is 10 out of 10 bruh. It's genious. I think you should make a easy mode, just my opinion but the actual difficulty is something pretty solid, is not unfair, it's funny not frustrating and makes you wanna get better. I didn't have time to beat so I don't know if you added those things but it would be cool to see more weapons or power-ups(dashes, shield, rapid fire, piercing shots). The game is so cool, it reminds me of games like hotline miami, you need to be fast and have good aiming. Great job!!!

Hey, check it out my game too if u want

Developer(+1)

Thank you for this detailed feedback. To keep the game in scope there are just variations in the Levels themselves. Enemy count, Level structure etc. Im really happy you liked it so much. I also rated your game btw :)

Submitted(+1)

Such a nice ambience! The theme was so well executed and the flow of the gameplay is great! Really liked this one. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thank you! I'm really glad you like it :)

Submitted(+1)

Very polished game! Really enjoyable, and the art and audio feel quite good when playing! The only thing I didn't like was the fact that killed enemies still have the collider and it doesn't disappear until the end of the death animation, and because of that, for example, I can't shoot through them to prepare the bullets for the enemies that are coming behind. Don't know if it is a bug or a feature, but except of that, really good game and original approach on the theme, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so very much! I think it's a bug and i'll fix it! Can sadly only fix after the rating period :(
