In what way does your game fit the theme?
Our game is about the player retracing the steps of the traditional "zelda style" hero's journey, and finding that perhaps it's not quite what it seems. It's designed to be playing an rpg in reverse, giving up powerups and returning (or rewinding) the way you came.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
The code works off of a Bolt base, only the movement and firing aren't coded by me, and even those have been modified. my team created all dialogue, music, UI, and UI sprites, as well as edited much of the gameplay sprites, but the in game sprites are mostly outsourced.

Next time maybe use assets that harmonize better with each other, e.g. same pixel size. The mechanics are cool but only so rarely used. I wish there was more to do with the bombs or more enemys to fight. Sometimes the character also clips underneath some textures, maybe resort the layering of the tilesets? Aside from that its a nice little game, keep it up^^

Hi there! I played through until you get to their home and then wasn't quite sure what to do next. I just want to say, the dialogue sprites are really well done! Tons of layers of emotion there, as well as in the dialogue itself. I would have preferred the camera to be zoomed a bit further out, and also tried to drop a bomb on the knight boss and was a little bummed that it didn't damage him when it blew up. But overall, congrats on a cool submission! P.S. menu art is awesome, too.

you have to put the wand on the altar in the center to complete the game, the dialogue ended up the main focus of the week, i was hoping to get more clever gameplay in there too! but i'm glad most of all my writer's vision got through

Loving the pixel art and want to keep playing this game but I can't figure out how to fix the houses in the beginning? Tried every button...

glad you enjoyed! all you have to do is move the debris and clear a path, we wanted something more complex but ran out of time, thank you for playing!

The knight in the beginning keeps rotating towards the player even after death, which looks a bit weird. Nonetheless, great job!
