Charlie, our deviant detective, rewinds recorded alibis to reconstruct them into confessions.
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all of the code ourselves. Many textures, models, and soundtracks were pre-made, but the rest was made during the jam.

I have played dozens of games of the jam and this is by far the most polished and best presentation. the audio gets you into the scene and the voice acting is fantastic. The camera effects are well picked. Original gameplay and a story along the game. You definitely deserve a high rank!

Wow! You did all that during one week? The visuals were stunning I thought. Gameplay seemed like it is awesome except on the webgl had some issues.

Very unique game ! Liked it a lot !
But I ran into a lot of bugs. I played the WebGL version and it was so buggy. Then I downloaded the game and it was better then WebGL but submitting with 'w' was very buggy. It sometimes quits the game or takes me to the credits.
But this is a great way of interpreting the theme and looks like you work really hard on it. It's a jam game so bugs are common. So i'll give you that but i'll love to play a polished version. Liked it a lot. Rated higher !!
I'm glad you liked the game! The WebGL is, unfortunately, quite buggy. The Windows version on the other hand, shouldn't have any more bugs. Thank you for pointing out what you found! I'll take a look right away and will make sure to fix it for a release after the jam.

Thank you! Sorry I missed your stream. I just watched it and we loved your reactions! You were so close to solving the hardest level multiple times. We were on the edge of our seats the whole time. Next time, I encourage you to toggle cat in the settings :)
Well, browser version didn't work, now with that out of the way, this game is exceptionally good in every other way, the atmosphere, aesthetic, gameplay, story...you name it. There were some crude edges on the 3D models, and that's somehow the worst thing I can think of this game, maybe the ending kinda hint at a second ending where you are a good guy but actually not? These are the only bad parts of the game I can think of, it doesn't really even fit into a jam game, it's that good. Extremely well done.
Thanks for the reviews and thank you for the good criticism! We tried playing around with the lighting to hide some of the shoddier 3d modeling and I, personally, think we could have spent more time on the ending, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out overall :)
Really good one! Your in the mood from the beginning! the ambient, the music, the aesthetic! really good job, the mechanic suit perfectly the theme, and it's fun to switch the confessions to make theme guilty!

Happens to me also, din't know why, the main menu it's completely black, and the music stop event i made a satic audio source, on windows work perfectly, need to find a tutorial on making a solid Webgl build
Great idea! love the idea to have to rewind the audio recording. The recording is very well done too! love the voice and audio combined everything fits the total theme perfectly!
but i could not get past the first level, i did record both words and they turned white but in the end i could not submit my answer :( it was not clear at first that i had to go to the end to be able to click on the submit-button in the beginning, but when it got white when i was at the end i tried clicking it but nothing happened. Maybe i did make a mistake but if i did it was not very clear what this mistake was.
Overall I did like it and fits the JAMtheme great! i never would have come up with using audio as the main game mechanic, nice!
Hmm. When you record a word, it should turn red. Any non-recorded words should stay white. Make sure you are only pressing the record button when you hear the words you need to record. Give it another try, and while you're at it, why not play in CAT MODE???

This game is incredible, and definitely one of my favorites from this jam. The rewind mechanic is well-explained, and the puzzles here are really clever and rewarding. A version of this game with more levels could be sold for real money, and I'd be in line to buy it.

Very nice game! I love the idea, the graphics, everything is just fun, and the moment the messages are played back I created, I always get a little smile. Somehow I wasn't able to play all levels, because the game didn't let me, but this was the only problem.
Thanks for the review! All levels get locked when you complete 3 story levels, until you play the final level. Once you beat the game, the rest of the levels are unlocked and you are able to play any level in any order! Try playing them again in CAT MODE!
Super cool and unique! My only complaint is that sometimes one button press recorded 2 things at once.
Thanks! The record button will record whatever you are hearing when you press it. It can also be held down to record multiple phrases. We could have made that clearer in the tutorial, but didn't have too much time for play-testing.
Really cool idea and very original. Recording the sentence you want is a little difficult, but the overall experience is great. It's amazing you were able to do all of this in such a short time.
