a truly scary game .... nice job
Cool concept and a lot of polish for a jam game. I love the chef design.
I indeed serve the DEAD :)
This is a fun concept! The real horror here was bringing back my muscle memory from working in a restaurant hahaha. I liked the gameplay and aesthetics, i wish there was music and sound queues for when customers show up though
I really love the concept here! The notepad was really cool and I loved that I could create shorthand for the orders to fit everything on the page. I do wish there was an option for mouse sensitivity since it was quite a bit lower than I'm use to but nothing unplayable. Like others said, the difficulty was a bit too high with the rate customers were leaving and how long it took to deliver orders but I think you have a great foundation here. Great job!
Also, I'm always hesitant to implement path finding in a jam game so it's impressive you were able to get it working!
"I'm always hesitant to implement path finding in a jam game" yes it was a major issue LMAO, the game also needed 3 layers of AI to get the diner active which made it so play testing wasn't really done until the last hour leading to high difficulty (you can't win the game is high score btw). This game needed way more prep, and a FPS controller and menus made ahead of time, lessons for next time if I'm on a team or solo tackling a challenging concept
Great aesthetic, sound design, and voice acting! I can press E while talking to the chef, though, but other than that, it's great all around!
Aaack the E thing is a game breaking bug! Thank you for playing though.
This game has got charm and is really poilished for a jam game. Congrats you can be proud!
This is very good and really unique concept! Pretty difficult to get all of them happy haha but it's fine!
Honestly I loved this concept, but damn I've been struggling with bugs in the linux version, I couldn't really enjoy it + its imposible to keep up with the customers (well, that's actually the horror aspect of it so).
Regardless, I'm fascinated at the fact that this much has been done for a jam, it's such an amazing work and I love it. The character designs, their voices, the whole recipes that there are, is an incredible work!
Congratulations on this game, believe me, you've done a great job for this game jam! Excellent graphics, everything works. Well done!
This game is all around very ambitious. Having a cutscene, multiple gameplay mechanics, and customer AI in a jam game is crazy to me. The main issue I had was that customers were very hard to keep up with. I felt like everything was too slow to actually make the meals in time. Hopefully we see great stuff from your team in the future, awesome work!
The game definitely was ambitious, looking at the project files stresses me out much more than any of my other games with its 150+ different voice lines, the project needed a stronger organization system and more exact planning for this kind of stuff. The game is designed to be impossible (you cannot win highscore), but I can see how that it may not be impossible in a balanced way you're not the only one with that complaint but yeah time restrictions I'm glad the game works lol.
Fun little game :3 My memory is horrible so I failed consistently lol, I know that the notepad is supposed to help but when there's three kinds of customers...
The chef got my ass
Really loved the look and feel of this, the graphics are really pleasant and the character models in particular really stand out to me. it's also super rare to hear voice acting in a jam game, and I think it's executed super well here
I enjoyed throwing the levitating pizza, it felt so nice to throw. The camera pointer bugs out, fixes itself then bugs out from time to time holding back the overall experience. The chef seems to be really cool guy.
I love the storyline at the start to set up the premise, I'm really slow so I wish I had a little serving plate to carry more meals out. I really love the artwork, the character models and textures are great especially with the voices and the notepad is such a fun idea for this genre although maybe just a little more time when starting out to get in the swing of things :D
ah you can run with shift, but this is a good point it’s probably better if the player just moves faster without running.
ah no I mean I'm just slow with learning the mechanics and doing the orders lol, the walking speed is good 👍
Solid gameplay loop, I feel like that waiter in The Bear. REALLY great job on the character designs. The voice acting is funny too.
This is a fun concept and the aesthetic works well for it! Those monsters come at you fast, I wasn't able to keep up for long. Nice work!
Love the idea of a fed-up waitress being kidnapped to continue working as a waitress. The graphics are amazing. I especially love the design of the witch girls. I also like the implementation of the food transmutation. It is pretty cool.
The game is really set back by the lack of sound. There was no music, and practically no sound effects. All I could hear was the voice acting. It would be so much better if there was stock restaurant music, and if I could hear the transmutation machine. Heck, I wish the chef had a stomping sounds when he chases you. It would be freaky.
Also, there is too much of a wait time between customers. I had long periods of just standing there. After the first two rounds of customer I thought the game had stopped working.
“No sound of the chef stomping” uh oh, the sound listener is disabled then for SFX that isn’t dialogue. Lack of sound is from crunch/bugs I really wish I had the time to do Beenfor justice, but I think the game is still missing SFX /music that isn’t bugged from what you said, something to keep in mind 👍.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are already working on the patches and bug fixes. All the missing things you mentioned were already implemented but due to bug issues, we had to remove them and now we are fixing the bugs.
super cool graphics :D unfortunately my cursor kept glitching and i can't look around so easily..
Thanks for the feedback (I’ll play yours when I’m off work), we will try to fix this but a way to avoid this for now is by not bringing up the notepad when looking up and down. I didn’t even know you could force your cursor off screen in Godot until I saw our game do that 😭.
Hey sorry I realized you're probably talking about the web build unlocking the cursor (we just put out a patch) unfortunately due to how the game was designed it is difficult to patch this issue, we added a button to relock the cursor in browser for now but if you want you can download and try the game again.
ahh i see, i'll try it out again :)
