How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
In this game, you are so unlucky that you're going to cause the world to end*. So you have 13 days to find 4 unlucky items to save the world.
The game randomizes everything with an unlucky weight, item drops, enemy counts, chance of doors all are weighted against the player.
The game's set dressing uses luck/unluck across everything (including the flavour text and the bonus scene for leaving the house)
*or at least unlucky enough to catch a god's eye (see ending)

That was neat! The art is quite proficient and charming, and the mechanics are competently implemented.
I noticed that the arrow shot sound effect sometimes peaks the audio above -0 dB. The sound doesn't seem to be loud as a whole, so it might be that it has a high peak somewhere in the audio that could use some correcting.
All-in-all, good work!
he graphic style is really beautiful and it feels like Game Boy. I also think the idea with going to sleep is super cool!
enemies were a bit fast/tough at the start, but i figured out that if you just stood still and fired, you'd collect enough health to survive each encounter. i was still happy to get the multi arrow bonus later on and actually have a chance against them! sorry to blag the game.
going outside the first time was genuinely funny.
looks and sounds great. nice work!
A gorgeous game! The music stuck with me right away, and the graphics and color palette are beautiful :D
I had a hard time at first because enemies kept killing me the second I stepped in the rooms, and the items didn't feel useful for the most part (except the 13 one, having triple arrows saved my game)
I think the gameplay might need a bit of polish, but the ambiance and concept are really good! The game carries and transmits a bittersweet emotion very well
Thank you for making your game :D
I enjoyed this game a lot, short, but very sweet and great presentation!
I thought this game looked amazing. I must have gotten lucky because I found the 2 of the items right next to each other. Very cool entry!
Considering the weight vs the player on the RNG rolls, we can see the lucky people in the comments. :D
Very nice entry! Ironically, I think I got really lucky on my first run because I found all four items really quickly haha
Something that might ensure the game has longer duration would be to make it so you can only ever get one item per night, maybe?
Either way, the game looks pristine and very very GameBoy-like, so that is a win in my book :)
You really embraced the theme!
Beautiful presentation and solid gameplay. The walking speed felt a bit fast inside the house, but it made sense during combat. Very polished experience, congrats!
I adore this, right of the bat the settings menu is so gooddd I love this so muchh The color switching is very nice, I wish I could ask you how you did it but we use different engines haha, the music is very nice. the gameplay is a bit unifinished but that’s to be expected from a jam game with all that care for details. what I mean is it’s a bit way too fast (I went through 4 nights in 3 minutes) which is interesting cause most games this jam are too slow, suggestions for this would be decreasing player speed (I mean duh lol sorry) and reducing the damage enemies make. I think the seed is the same for everyone since I saw another person saying they got all the items the fourth night? might be wrong but randomizing the seed is def a good quality. overall goodjob!!
You just got lucky! The seed is randomized (and the door spawns are weighted against the player).
Unless Godot's randomize function in 4.4 was not working properly, then oops.
cool beans!
The music is sooo good !!the worldbuilding is really entertaining !
And the game is visually pleasing ! very grea !
I found all item at once
Very fun! Love the art! All four items spawned on my third night, which was lucky for me because I did TERRIBLY on the first couple nights lol
You just got lucky! The seed is randomized (and the door spawns are weighted against the player).
your assets are beautiful !! maybe one or two monsters with other patterrn would have make the game funnier, but its already neat now !
Thank you, I'm glad to hear you liked them!
I don't know if I just got lucky with the first few items but if I just held attack I blasted all enemies with a flurry of arrows and they died before they could touch me. Very polished btw
Great game! The interactions are a lot of fun, and the 13-day mechanic is a very original way to implement lives.
I also noticed we used the same dialogue addon. When I first saw it, I knew it had a lot of potential, but it's impressive how much you got out of it—it turned out beautiful.
It was SO good! I thought it was hard... I thought I was going to lose!! But something happened and it all turned around in my favor! ;D
Art was beautiful. I loved the interactions inside of the house!
It was challenging enough that I thought I wasn't gonna make it, but ironically luck was on my side! The character was funny and i really loved the soundtrack :) Really great game, definitely has replayability
Great interpretation of the secondary theme! I enjoyed my time finding all the unlucky items :)
Everything about this game was amazing 11/10 :D
Great job, I really liked the game's art style.
The gameplay become a little to easy once you get 1 item, but i liked the art and the overall a good entry. Good job.
