Definitely the best game in the jam that I played! 🤘
The multiple risk factors alongside the amount of polish is just crazy! Amazing job 👏👏

Wow, we were afraid no one made it to the final screen, because wave 14 was pretty hard. Congratulations and thanks so much for playing our game!

Love to see another blackjack themed game,  like ours :)

Was very curious how did you implemented blackjack mechanics.  I like it :)

Great game name!

Excellent game, love the mechanics of burning the whole tray and the incorporation of black jack. The art is fantastic and I really enjoyed it.

Really nice work! The art style is cool. This is my first game jam. It would be cool if you rated and commented. :D https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/3851809

This was really fun! I did find myself just spamming cards with negative-to-low heat costs and that was satisfying though made it very easy and I probably spent like 20? coins rerolling the shop cause nothing it offered sounded like an upgrade.

It was hard to know what was and wasn’t a face card, and the way aces worked took me a while to wrap my head around. I also thought the game was crazy hard until I realized I could eat the cookies myself - and then that made it way too easy.

But there’s something really fun here. I love push your luck games and this is great :)

Thanks for your feedback. We thought about a bunch of ideas for upgrades but we didn’t have time to implement all of them. We are collecting feedback like yours to make some post-jam adjustments. Including a tutorial that explains the mechanics and balancing the difficulty are all things on our to-do list.

Super fun! Love the gameplay and art :D

Best implementation of the theme that I've seen. Really nicely done.

Was it intentional that the upgrades would run out? Also I think I took some upgrades I maybe shouldn't have, because I thought the `remove card and reshuffle` type upgrades were the only way to get your discard pile back.

Developer

We ran out of time to implement more upgrades, hopefully we’ll have enough eventually. Definitely there are some upgrades that are meant to synergy with others but not all of them work well together, that’s intentional. The deck refills when you run out but you take a turn which exposes you so we thought to include some of those. We’ll be balancing that out over time. Thanks for playing.

Wow very impressive, I would totally play this game for real. The heat / satisfaction interplay is a really interesting mechanic and overall the design, art and sound work really nicely together. Some good choices for jam scoping too. Leaderboard also a great idea for engagement. 5 stars

wow, what a game! Really nice visuals and absolutely addicting. I can see this as a mobile game.

I think the music loop could be a bit longer - but other than that I have no suggestions. Really nicely done!
