How does the game fit the theme?
You have to literally "Risk it for the Biscuit" - you will play Blackjack to set your stats for the fight round. Defeating enemies will lead you to the Princess Biscuit.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Very cute looking game with some interesting mechanics, it can be easily expanded on so looking forward for that, well done!
Really fun, would love to see this expanded on to make a full length game. Scene transition and UI animation were really cool
Thanks, loved your game!
Really fun game! i think my only complain is maybe to focus the player cards in the middle when getting the cards!
oh btw was it intended to get 21 for both at the start?
Thanks!
Nope, everything is random, so you are just lucky, i guess :)
Great game dezm0n and crew! Finally got the chance to play it for myself, rather than watching a streamer play it! It was a lot of fun, I did two runs, got further the 2nd one but still not to the princess. Maybe I'll try again later. It was really fun at the start, then I started to feel like the fights were going on a bit long. That just might be me though wanted to share my feelings. Overall great game I'm excited to see where you take it next.
Thanks, yeah, that's valid feedback, fights are ok if the player is buying lots of attack upgrades, but i gave too much choice with upgrades :)
yes I went all
In on getting jokers
Great game! I love this art style and gameplay is quite good.
I don't like colors of the text in the shop. Red often means not enough currency to buy but here it is always red, confusing! Also I expected some buff on reaching cap exactly (ex. 21 out of 21).
Anyway, nicely done!
This game is amazing! The art is incredible and the enemy progression is satisfying and manageable. I don't play card games much but the rules were straightforward!
Thanks, love the art of your game!
Damn this game is addictive not a huge fan of card games but the way this is made fell in love instantly with the game i will be plaing thins for a while now
Fantastic game! Progressive black jack is a neat idea and would make for a fantastic pvp kinda of game with a tournament style battle progression kinda think 1v1s in a fortnite size lobby that progress the decks and stats. Or a rouge like! Great work! <3 *this game was live reviewed here: twitch.tv/gratefulllyivory (will post vod after stream)
I really like this game a lot. I played couple of black jack games but this is one of the most interesting and easiest to navigate throughout the game. I also love the visual. It's so cute :)
Thank you very much!
I really love the idea. one of the best games I played in this jam, great work
This has a satisfying and engaging feel. I love the combination of genres. Great work!
I really liked this game! Despite casino games usually being RNG, this still seemed pretty well-balanced! Not too easy, not too hard. And I'm always a lover of a good black-and-white style. Good job!
Thanks, and yeah, balancing it was pretty interesting
Really good combination blacke with turn based combat sysstem
Thank you!
Combining blackjack as a combat mechanism is interesting! I enjoyed this, really well done.
Thank you!
The game is really great! Art is very adorable and feels good to look at. Overall, mechanics like the shop and combat feel very polished, and the effect, like a cardboard effect and shadow casting, is really done well. But there is something that I feel off. The combat is fun because of the risk you have to take, but it's really gone at last because when you have armor upgrade that overwhelms your enemy's attack, like (In last boss: 40 for max attack of 30), you no longer have to risk anything and become invincible. I think having some kind of armour loss would be great for both sides because the gameplay is really long when we can't hurt each other. I also feel like the health isn't really there in the late fights because if the stat flips, I would get one-shot. One catch: what if we never upgrade our attack (18-21) and only on defense, will it be able to defeat the final boss (def 25-30), or will it become a soft lock? Anyway, it was a really amazing and fun experience.
Yeah, balance and design were definitely a challenge :)
I believe that you can't beat the game without upgrading attack/armor. I hope it becomes pretty obvious when the player encounters enemies with increasing stats, maybe with stats equal to player's. So without upgrading the fights drag on longer and then become impossible. With current design player hopefully will prioritize attack upgrade, because it makes game a lot faster and easier 😀
But I agree that design is not perfect here, it's like in roguelikes, SlayTheSpire, for example. Sometimes you just can't win, and need to restart. I wanted to add some sort of meta-progression between games, but time frame was tight. So the current game is like one round of roguelike.
Oh that was an interesting mechanic, that your cards value "overflow" instead of losing your hand completely, when you get busted. Also really cool idea that you had to gamble for the reward.. maybe I'll steal that one :D.
Oh, and I love the character design! :)
Ha, I rescued her (funny endscreen)! Really addicting :)
Thanks, love your game!
Absolutely fantastic! Brilliant game, polished experience.
Incidentally , I also have a submission that's a variation on Blackjack :)
Definitely going to check it out!
I love a good game of blackjack and you made a very fun and creative spin to it! I'm definitely going to continue playing it for a while!!
Thanks, enjoy!
UI design was really great, visuals were fun and I liked how much attention to small details there is. In particular the sound effect made when left clicking is very satisfying and a wonderful touch
Thanks! Yeah, click vfx was added just to test the sound system, but i get so used to it and left it in :)
OK JUST WOW
This is SUCH a fun and polished experience
I usually dont like when someone does a real life game that I dont know and has a wall of text explaining the rules
But the way you guys explained it easily and also made it soo accessible, like the number showing the addition of the values of cards you have and the max cap you can reach right now.
The attack and defense system being soo simple, yet so effective
I absolutely love the gameplay and the theme implementation!
Its such a breath of fresh air to see people actually trying to implement the theme instead of taking it as a secondary goal
Also, I LOVED the artstyle, the sfx and music (They really fit very well with each other and create an amazing atmosphere!)
Especially that transition which follows the cursor, it was really cool! (Just wish it was a bit quicker, as it slows down the game alot imo)
Also I think the ui (i mean the shop ui) could use some more polish, not that its not usable but it does look a bit out of place compared to the health, and stats ui
Honestly a great game and I had a blast playing it!
I dont think I have any real complaints tbh..
You guys seriously nailed it!
Thanks a lot for a feedback! Yeah, I guess transition should be faster, you are right
