I think I'm a bit confused about the submission format, because it's written that we have to make a compressed ressource package, and a quickly playable version. Do we need to make an executable, or more like a Unity Asset pack ? Thanks a lot for the answer!

Hello,
I almost finished my project and I wanted to be sure to submit it correctly, so I have a few questions.
First of all, if I understood correctly, the game has to be a Windows build (.exe), compressed in a .zip file with the template document containing the inspirations, 3d links... Right ?
I've done some game jam but usually the submission is a webGlBuild. If the target submission type is a downloadable windows build, is there any tips or recommendations for screen settings, do's and don'ts or anything like that ?
I'm also a little bit confused about the fact that there is the tripo submission AND itch.io. If I understood correctly, the main submission way is to publish it directly on tripo. I think that I'll publish it on both, to be sure. I saw that there is like a submission code on the tripo site, but I didn't understand well when will we receive this code, and what's the purpose of this code ?
I think that I almost understood well how to publish, and maybe doing it I will have some answers, but I just wanted to be sure that my project will be received correctly.
Thanks a lot for your answer and for organizing this game jam I am enjoying a lot ! :)
Hello,
I'm actually enjoying the jam and the discovery of Tripo AI, that gave me some good models for my game.
But when I tried to mix them in a scene, really quickly the FPS droped, due to the walls and floors generated by the AI. I'm really happy with the character model and some interactive elements, but I'm struggling a little to have everything made by Tripo without having trouble with framerate and performance.
I was wondering what are the rules about the using of Tripo models. Do we need to do everything with the model, or a mixed project could be acceptable ? (By mixed, I'm saying like making the core gameplay interactive elements with Tripo, but doing main walls and floors with basic shapes in Unity)
It's my first time working with 3d models, so maybe I did something wrong creating or importing the models, so any tips will be carefully listened.
Thanks a lot, have a good day!
Hello,
if I understood well, we have to make a whole level, and have some actions or some conditions to go to the next level. But do we have to create a second scene and do the transition between the other scene ? Or maybe you will do this combination and the scenes transitions in the final cohesive game ?
Thanks a lot for your answer.
Thanks a lot for your comment, it really means a lot ! I'm a really huge fans of card games and wanted to improve at developping it and to make a simple game that could be an introduction to deckbuilding for people that didn't know this genre. I also tried to play with my weaknesses, so I chose to make a simple art-style, really well executed by my wife. I loved the chakira's inspired designs (and she insisted to put Chigüiro's cute name :) )
About the difficulty, I wanted something smooth early to avoid frustration, but with some challenge to make a really "winning" feeling, so I'm really glad that you found the difficulty well curved too.
Thanks you again, it really motivate me to keep working, learning, and enjoying doing card games ! :)
Thanks for playing, I hope that you liked it :)
Yes it's true that music could fit better the theme, but I didn't want to put salsa, cumbia or caribbean music because I wanted something more nature-based, but maybe I could use something better.
I'm glad that you liked the art, my wife did a great work drawing and designing chakira's inspired designs for each kind of type, and I'm proud of how the animations looked. They are basic but they add a lot of life I think :)
I'm going to play every submission, so I'll play yours and give you a review.
Have a good day !
Hello,
I just rated your game, it was pretty cool and I discovered a new classic game :)
Here is my submission, a hand drawn roguelike cardgame based on Rock paper Scissor :

Hope you'll like it :)

Loved the graphics ! There's a problem, I think you should change the itch.io resolution for your webGLbuild (maybe putting some higher values) or making the game playable in full screen. I encourage you to try something because we can't really appreciate the game that way, due to a lot of the screen cut :/
