Loved the music and the visual style. Wish the dealt cards were always sorted in some way though. More diverse animations would also have been nice.

Very pretty art and an interesting gameplay loop that I really enjoyed. With further development I could see this standing amongst other indie turn-baseds. Great music!

The music is exceptional, the graphics are beautiful, and the game is fun to play!

Really nice idea, I really loved the fact that we're playing in a book ! Original and very cool idea!

This was nice! I only got through one fight tho cause I got stuck on reading what each card did and trying to see if I could combine some of em to get better odds and stuff. It was a little hard to see if my attacks ever missed or if some effect was applied to me. Like, I didn't get what Overheating did, if it was damage or some other effect. Also didn't know if stuff that was supposed to apply to other turns was being applied. Maybe I shpuld've just picked stuff with good odds and seen how far I could get, but oh well! Good job on your game y'all!

fun stuff, got overwhelm by the amount of option at first, so i was just any skills, but i like that you can chain. seems nice overall good job

Hey I tried playing this game but when I use my cards in the queue (by pressing enter) after the camera has zoomed to show the combat it zooms out with a skewed view on the far right so I can no longer see or select cards, not sure if im doing something wrong. Game looks really cool though.

Thank you for reporting this bug! Have you enabled fullscreen or changed the aspect ratio as cards were playing by any chance?
Edit: The problem should be fixed now; whenever you have time, please tell me if you still encounter this issue

Really impressive game with lots of features in there, nice art, sfx and music. I found it a little lacking in UX, hard to understand everything that was happening. Still, I like the ideas on display in the cards. Nice work! Like I said, very impressive!

This was fun!  I got the final boss to 900hp before dying.  I can see this was a super ambitious game for a jam so well done taking a big swing.  I can see where the scope got way from you in places, but overall well done and a good foundation to build on if you want!

Haha, thank you! I'll admit, I've had to scrap several things, but I'm glad I was able to get a working build in time!
