Visually stunning

Cool little game! Super simple but replayable game loop, the gritty visuals are nice and fit the theme and story, same goes for the music. Well done!

gave it a try, but keeps crashing my browser. I'm on a mac

I love the idea of having a chance to break the slot machine, and the game itself was fun. Both the sfx and soundtrack fit the game incredibly well and I always love to see a slot machine roguelike! Amazing game overall, especially considering that this was only done in a week!

Thank you!

Nice game, great visuals and sound effects :) The breaking slot machine is a good idea! :)

Woah what a cool game. Slot machine roguelike hell yeah! Lots of polish and really good music, though it didn't loop properly. Lots of different mechanics with the fruit as well, was fun to see what happens when you combined them.

Developer

Thank you! About the music, yeah, it might bug sometimes, because of the way we made our music system, it shouldn't happen often though

I kept damaging my machine because I took too many risks. Well executed idea! The graphics are amazing, too!

Superb! reminds me of CloverPit. Impressive that you got the game so polished within time.

Developer

Thank you! Haven't heard of CloverPit before, but it looks super cool, definitely going to try it

I had so much plans for my full hand of banana peels and other good stuff, but then the LOOP happened 😩
Beautiful game

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, loop might be hurtful when you are not ready for it ;)

5 stars for innovation and visuals, it works well, the gameplay is interesting and unique.

I'd like to see more of it, also I found it a bit sad that it did not have any music, that would have helped the ambience a lot!

Overall a solid entry, congrats!

Developer

Thank you! There is music in the game, strange that you didn't hear it. Maybe you should restart the game, or adjust volume settings?

Nice game, it gave a good twist to slot machine games, with really well made visuals!

Very cool art and gameplay! How do you force fullscreen like that? Is it itch page setting or in code?

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Probably in code, it's a just a standard Godot fullscreen function (DisplayServer.window_set_mode(DisplayServer.WINDOW_MODE_EXCLUSIVE_FULLSCREEN))

The art direction for this game is top notch, the spin and reward animations are all juices. Though the game mechanic really confuses me, I think I was sitting spinning the machine for quite a while until I recognize the percent really means I am literally unable to win anything (I may have softlocked the game there maybe?.

It took me a while to understand that I need to use the fruit to get the winning instead of just waiting for it to drop, so there are some level of strategy here. I still think the game should have a lose state so player can reset and restart again, maybe?

Very well polished game, nonetheless

Developer

Thank you! You lose when you have no items in your inventory and the machine. Basically, winning chance is the chance to win an item from the machine (yellow one), and breaking chance is the chance to break the machine (red one), goal is to break as much machines as possible.

I loved the Art style it was Grundgy yet had this Ugly Charm to it (Its a compliment trust me, its just hard to describe XD) and the game played really smooth. Had Fun, Rated: 10/10

Thank you! I'm a bit busy right now, so I don't rate any games at the moment, but I'll be sure to check your game first, when I have some free time!

Beautiful art. Difficult economy*.

Right off the bat, the art style is fantastic.  Color palette, hue, brightness, and style all fit together harmoniously.  I loved the attention to detail like the little motes of dust floating around.  Gave a distinct moldy gambling dungeon vibe.  Based off some of the items, I suspect there may be a Binding of Isaac player or two among the group. :)

I struggled for a bit figuring out what exactly to do.  I think what confused me was the displayed probabilities above the machine.  I thought these might be the natural odds of each symbol showing up before any other auto-win percentages applies.  I spun quite a few times before convincing myself that you must need to actually spend some items in order to win. I had also managed to get into a state where I had no items but I was still allowed to spin, where it seems that I should have just lost at that point.

After arriving at the correct understanding of the mechanics, everything made a lot more sense.  I still wasn't really able to pop off with my items for very long, though that might just boil down to a skill issue* in learning what works and what doesn't.  I would probably need a "baby's first gambling apparatus" mode to go easy on me while I learn the ropes.

Overall, though, the gameplay loop and systems seem very solid!  I thought the mechanics were quite apt for the theme.  I definitely felt the pressure to throw an apple or two on top of my good items in order to boost the odds of a win.  The times that you lose out to the 1 in 5 explosion really keeps up the suspense.

Awesome job!

*edit: I came back to this later and it was definitely a skill issue.  The failure in my strategy was over-committing bets and neglecting the upside of breaking the machine.  You get a replacement item for winning, but also some item from the machine when it blows up.  If you split up your items when there is no apparent synergy, you have more chances to earn a combo item from the machine one way or the other.  So before (bad): bet 5 apples => guarantee one win and one explosion item.  After (good): Bet one apple at a time 5 times => there is a tiny chance you don't win or break the machine on any of the spins, but more likely is that you win some item from the machine in the middle of those 5 bets.  You now have more options for any of the remaining 5 apples you didn't use to make the next spins even better.  After cleaning up my game, I was indeed able to pop off a few times.  It became a lot more enjoyable after that.

Thank you for such an extensive feedback! Yeah, we both are fans of TBOI, so you might see some inspiration there :) We made it, so you lose three seconds after having no items and machine not spinning, to avoid bugs, so that might have been a bit confusing, sorry for that. Game is a bit hard at first, but you get a lot of satisfaction after creating a good build (we had a broken build with 500 items with a 1000% winning chance lol). Watermelon is a very good item for starting a good build, but it works fully when there are a lot of them (so machine could give you more). You also have a passive item on start, which gives you 1 coin for every 20% winning chance after 100%, so a lot of cherries in one spin is a very good source of items and coins.

Wow, thank you for your dedication, glad you liked it!

Great game and very well done. I'm bad at gambling games so I lost a bunch but it was interesting for sure! Loved the kinda dark and spooky vibe
