As a lot of people below I had a stuggle with level 2 :D  So hard.
Very polished game !  Music was nice, but it was adding more stress to the gameplay for some reason hah
GJ!

Exceptionally good submission. Everything fits together soo well, superb degree of polish and accessible thanks to the tutorial.

The  learning curve is  a bit steep, level 1 was easy, level 2 took me... idk 10 tries at least? In the end it felt satisfying to get it down BUT I kind attributed it to luck, as you are heavily dependent on the spawns.

5/5 overall, best game I've played this jam

This was fun to figure out and pretty satisfying to finally figure out the levels after failing a few times. Great "how to play" walkthrough as well. Good execution on a good idea and really impressive, especially considering the time frame.

Very cool game. And everything about it just works: music, sprites etc. I belive it is as good as it can get for the event like game jam -  short and simple but beautiful and well done

Level 2 ate my soul...but I did clear it eventually lol. Great game!

level 2 is the guy she tells you not to worry about. Great game!

This was a nice challenge! I was able to beat levels 1 & 3 fairly easily, but I have yet to beat level 2. I'll need to come back and try again once voting is over. Nice entry!

I really liked this a lot!
I did however think that level 03 was much easier than level 02?
I didn't look into the 'how to play' section, but I'm glad it was separated from the game itself, as I like to just jump in and try to figure out how things work myself :)

The atmosphere including the art and sound effects were great!

I liked it a lot, the difficulty curve is a bit high and you can get a bit screwed by RNG sometimes, but the overall gameplay is super satisfying with great visuals and feedback that makes you want to keep playing and beat all the levels.

A small suggestion: The cherry on top for such amazing pixel art in a game controlled solely by mouse clicks would be a custom cursor, a sharp fang, for example.

 Congratulations to everyone involved!

This was really challenging, but in a way that made me want to keep trying. Overall really polished, solid gameplay. Great work!

Really impressed with the visuals! I was absolutely awful at it, but it looked/sounded great!

Great job all

Such an amazing game! Got stuck playing for such a long time, really juicy game! Still haven't manage to complete lvl2, but managed to get lvl3.

Congratz to the team!

Hey! Really good submission! I loved the SFX when you do a match for a row of critters. Really polished entry too. Awesome work :)

Simple but effective game design, much more challenging then it looks.

I love the critter artwork and sound and music.

Also like the different tiered levels, beat 1 quickly, finally beat 2, level 3... will need to come back and try again.

Thanks for submitting and good to see you back submitting Ricky

Likewise—very cool to be jammin' alongside you once more. Us OGs from 2023 are like senior citizens in the GWJ scene now. :D

Very cool and original!  I liked the art and atmosphere, plus the little noises the critters made.  I think there was an opportunity to play the relevant sections of the how to play at the start of each level which would have been nice (eg showing the screen for the rock critters when you start level 2).

Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it :D

Splitting tutorial in different sections was originaly planned. But, in a rush of final days, we decided to keep it as one big guide.

The art and sound fits  the game so well, good job!

Superb art, really addictive, satisfying sfx, accurate music... Level 2 is really difficult, but I will keep trying! Really, really really nice work!! Congratulations!

This is addictive and there's a lot here to expand on if you wanted to make this a full game, gameplay-wise. I think the timer actually does your game a disservice, it stands out well enough as a puzzle game on its own with the restrictions of the grid. The art and music are very cohesive and I think are also strong point as well.

Interesting concept! The art is great, and the music and SFX are very fitting.

I found level 2 to be far too difficult. It must have taken me 4 or 5 attempts to finish. Level 3 is much easier due to how open it is.

Great work!

A strong contender!

It is very well executed. My one nitpick is that you can hear the UI's selection sound when mousing over the selections of the original menu while reading how-to-play.

Developer

Ah, my habbit of setting all non-button Control nodes mouse_mode to ignore finaly backfired xD

Thank you for playing :D
