Very good mechanic, but I would like to explore more with this game. 
Would be very cool for players to be able make some strategy, to have risk and maybe some challanges, currently it feels like very straight-forward progression. 
But this is one of mechanic I love and I would love to see, what you could add to this game! 

As a lot of people below I had a stuggle with level 2 :D  So hard. 
Very polished game !  Music was nice, but it was adding more stress to the gameplay for some reason hah

cookie clicker, but critters instead of cookies :D 
Art is adorable. Would love to hear what were your bigger idea on gameplay

Impressive variety of enemies and to have  ablity to make upgrades! 
You managed to do a lot in jam time limits.  Art and idea are on point! 

Very interesting idea of catching critters and using them in the battle! would love to see more levels and complicity. 
Unfotunately i had a bug with Victory window on level 2. the game was going but "victiry" screen overlayed.

Went straight to the hard mode! Reached the score 19 :D But it gets insanely hard after hah.  so many bugs.
Nice little game! 

Made it to 25 but my cage was falling towards cat XD 
Good entry for the first game!

My forearm is dying XD

This would be a  great educational game! fantastic work on adding 3 mini-games. Would be fun to see more and more complicity.

Yeah, unfortunately emoji problem was on web version in general, and we didn’t manage to fix it. But now lesson learned 😄

THe moment I realized that I can position them changed the game XD, before that it was hard. 
 I should be more attentive to text to notice such things
I have noticed also that you loose your unequipped items after battle.  Other than that amazing level of development! Polished, fun - everything is there. 

Wow, turned-based fighting in game about collecting acorns, wasn't expect that :D
I was confused with defense option in a battle. As I can't do defense and attack it feels like I am wasting turn on doing defense. Was spamming attacs and special instead.
Good work on art and animation! 

Did you record oinking sound yourself? :D If yes -this is adorable! 
Having billons of truffles was lol I honestly didn't understand if clicking other pigs gives me anyting else than truffle. 👀
I also noticed that probably guarding pigs are too good, because after hiring one - i haven't seen any caterpillar anymore
But despite that, very solid game for a jam!

Art is so cute and top colouristic! (I have noticed it matches your other projects, that is really nice)
I loved some Ghibli inspired characters :D
Game certanly needs more levels or complicity as it is short and easy. 
But for its size it is very cozy and nice!

Thank you for the feedback! I would totaly want to work more on dialogues. I just felt that after making bestiary and time limit it was really hard to give all those conversations enough personalities. So they were simplified and rushed a bit.  I would love players to spend more time reading bestiary rather than selecting pretty obvious options.
But I am happy you liked the concept!

I was a bit confused what is going on, hah.
Like what do you need to spawn enemies for?  Would be fun if my car can move only when I kill enemies.
And car control - woah, I would never get a driving license on that bus :D 
It felt like horror a bit and I found that I want to spawn enemies just to have this rythmic sound in the back.

Great idea for the tutorial! 
Curious thing, that bugs slow down when you shoot the tongue. Was it on purpose? :D  I enjoyed this game 

Very cute game! I thought that once I manage to eat all plants on 1st level the next level will load automatically. but buying new fields is a fun concept too. 
I would prefer to have a goal mark, but other than that - well made game!

We were trying to avoid simple answers like ‘Yes’ or ‘No,’ to add more story to this conversation. And in the system we made, there are always 4 options 😀 But I feel you, it can be confusing sometimes. Thank you for trying it!

scrabble and critters is unexpected combination :D I liked the interaction between animals!
But can't see what is written on a buttons on web page xd

Okay, so web version was a bit laggy, but I am glad I download to pc.
Boy oh boy, what a cool game. The music is insanly good! I love  tower defense genre, but rythm tower defense? It is something new to me 

Some might say this shapeshifter brings too many Scoville units. XD

Okay, I must say this is my favourite so far! The artwork is outstanding! When I read it was made with real clay, my jaw dropped! I do like to sculpt myself, but idea to use it in game - amazing! 
Honestly everything works here for me. And music is so calming. 

Hurray! We’re glad to hear that not every player got eaten by a shape-shifter — and that there were successful dates :D

Oh boy, that was hard ahah. Great work on procedural levels and those extra abilities from fruits! Really interesting concept. And I loved that every restart music is different. It makes you want more to replay. 

Ahah, yeah we have noticed people being eaten a lot by shape-shifter 😭
Emojis are definitely a problem, but dialogs were changed for shifter too. Maybe during development we thought it was too easy and accidentally made it "Dark souls" level 😅

I think - brick sound for rat sliding is so funny XD 
Cute stuff, I enjoyed playing this. Really liked that we are running in a box.
I think it would be nice to make obstacles a bit different. (like verious shapes where you need to jump in. ) And maybe sliding having limits, as I was using it most of a time. 
I wasn't expecting that you restart whole game if you died 0.0 
I was just "What's gonna happen if I run into mouse trap?" - "You died, start again" 
But anyway - good stuff!

I was confused for a sec with racoon control, didn;t know stuff flies where mouse shows hah. 
But overall so many different enemies and levels are not super easy, which is great! 
Music is amazing too, but a bit too loud and I couldn't make it lower in game.
I like racoon shooting stuff, like "cup" :D Nice details

Yeah, characters, stories, and code took most of the time, so the music was made at the last minute (first time using GarageBand, haha). Next time we’ll try to make it more varied.

Very good level design! And amount of content is impressive. I also liked that game tracks your progress and remembers enemies you killed, so you don't have to kill them again.
2 small things: the music wasn't looped, so once it finished there was no music for the rest of the game :(  And another thing is that not every type of monster can continue level, so I had to die to re-select monster, that can.  (Maybe that was a part of design hah :D )

I must be weak at those games, hah, but I couldn't find a strawberry and died so many times.  I was confused with how roots and plants work here. They change stats every round and what is calling a darkness? Sometimes it was not able  to dig in, but it was certainly a space under the ground to do so. 
Art is very cute and music suits! 

Art style and music are great! The bug roguelike fighting concept is really cool. As a player, I would enjoy the game more if I had different options to choose from each turn. Right now, it feels like I have no control over the battle and it’s mostly luck.

It could be fun to add things like an “Attack type” and “Defense type.” For example, deciding whether to dodge next turn or harden your armor. Different choices could interact with enemy attacks, so you still wouldn’t know exactly what’s coming — but the player would feel like they’re making their own decisions.

Nevertheless, very nice submission!

Very cute design! 
I was hoping, that critter I made will be in the game. It was fun to create your unique critter (So many settings! )
The game itself has a nice concept, but I had a little struggle. It doesn't matter what I do and how many critters i add to the habitat - I always enup in the shop with 7 food.  Like in the game scene it tells me I will have 31 food but later in shop it 7 again :( Maybe I did something wrong.
Anyway, very good job guys!

Yeah, one of issues might be that web version doesn’t show emojis for some reason and we didn’t have time to fix it 😭 They were supposed to help. Like “potty” will use this 🪴 but shifter this 🌵. There are hidden mistakes in sentences too, but maybe they are not obvious enough.
