I managed to squeeze one more game in before voting ends! I couldn't get past the pit in time for voting, but this seems really fun so I might try more later. I just wanted to let you know that I LOVED the opening animatic. Great job!

I'm glad you enjoyed the UI. I have previous UI trauma that I'm just now starting to get over, so this is the first jam I've done where I've put genuine effort into it.
With the collision, we had it set so that all of the reindeer + sleigh had collision. It is possible some of our collision was too fat. Did you notice if it was a particular part of you getting hit or a particular obstacle that felt this way? For a while we had grids of snowmen so the corners being relativiely safe weren't a thing until the last minute. Oops!
I was not great at this game (I'm terrible at video game and irl parkour), but I really liked where it was going. I could see the flag in the distance from the bubble platforms (i'm guessing that's were the 3rd pet was), but was not coordinated enough to get there. I thought that grappling through the trees was fun, and the floating felt nice once I understood how it worked. Nice job!
This was so fun! 90% of the time I'm really bad at it and get 1 or 2 kills before I die. Occasionally I do okay and I'm even able to use the RMB attack. My high score is only 14 (not as impressive as that 88!), but the attacks felt really satisfying.
I have some art suggestions for either your next project or if you update this one (I did not deduct rating points for these): the rain feels a bit jarring. Maybe it's an illusion, but it feels like it slows down when you move down vs standing still or move up. Also, since the rooftop is so big, adding some sort of texture (maybe dithering like you have on the bricks on the itch banner?) or landmarks (like storm drains) will help ground the player a bit when they're in the middle of the roof and they're just surrounded by concrete. And lastly, it would be great if the player was a different color from the enemies. Even if it's just that the enemies are being desautrated programatically by 10%.
Anyway, I hope my suggestions don't come off as harsh. I know time contraints and all that jazz are real, especially when you're a team of one. I really enjoyed this game and I'm glad I had time to squeeze it in before voting ended. Great job!
I really like puzzle games and hockey, so win-win! I got to level 7 before I got stuck, but apparently it's because I can't read and didn't realize what the crystal was for. Once I'm done voting, I'm gonna go back and see if I can't finish your game now that I know. I've played a few games this jam that have the pull back and release mechanic, but this is by far my favorite one! Really great job, especially on your first GWJ entry!
On the first Saturday of the jam, I gave my husband a placeholder sleigh and stub reindeer so he could work on the snaking and tilting. He did a great job with it and it was instantly fun, even though there wasn't anything to do yet other than fly. And crazy fact: our composer made all the music in just 2 days! Thanks for playing!
Oh, the lag is the aurora effect. My husband (our main programmer) had troubles with it on his laptop as well, and I believe his laptop is only 1.5 years old. That's what happens when you have a greedy artist (me)! 😅 We do have another programmer that typically handles graphics related programming stuffs, but he didn't have time to do much for this project except implement the scoreboard. I'm sure the aurora could have been optimized if he had time to look at it. At least we only had the one aurora in instead of the two I had asked for. 😂
We probably should have explained it better in the tutorial, but the lights on the dashboard are another indication of when it's close to the end (6 am). Blinking red means it's almost morning. Blinking green means it's as early as you can get (between midnight and 1am). And the other stages/colors are times in between. Despite the lag, I'm glad you were able to have fun. Thanks for playing!
This game was totally up my alley! I am now officially ready to conduct passenger trains. 😊 A lot of others have already mentioned what needs improvement, but this was really great for your first jam entry. I did find a bug where somehow my yellow box completely disappeared. Not sure how this happened, but I thought I'd let you know. Great job!

I'm going to be honest and say I've been avoiding playing this because I thought for sure it would make me queasy. Amazingly, it didn't make me queasy at all and is one fo my top games of the jam! Some of my favorite parts:
- party foul as the exe name
- fence gap you look through on the main menu
- billy joel!
- the git messages on the credits (brilliant and I might steal this)
- Flasky twerking
- the drunk shader
I will say the cacti were evil, and I was sad I picked up a piece of pizza but didn't eat it. It's rare that I see other 3d jam entries as visually polished as ours tend to be (shaders, fx, etc), but this was fantastic. I might message one of you on discord in the near future (after voting's over) with some questions if that's okay. Great job!
We played with various placements for the tutorial messages around the screen, but ultimately it seemed like the action is so fast it really doesn't matter where we put it. We did what we could. 😅 I'm glad you had fun though and it was intuitive enough. When I play, I try to save up my Christmas magic to blast through the portals unscathed. I don't know if it's the best way, but it's the strategy that works for me. Thanks for playing!
When I saw you making this in discord, I just knew I would be terrible at it. I was right. 😂 After several attempts, I finally did make it past the tutorial and into the real game and managed to earn $62. I did find a bug in the tutorial though. If you can't make the food in time, the alien leaves anthe game doesn't progress. No more ingredients come, the text doesn't change, and no other aliens show up. This may have happened to me more than once... 😂 Also, I would have loved a knife respawn button, because sooo many times the knife was floating just out of reach and I had to wait a loooooooong time for it to finally float offscreen so it would respawn. Despite all that, I thought it was super fun and really well done. Very nice entry!
Like some others here, I'm also terrible at these types of games. That being said, I was having a lot of fun trying and you probably would have been dying from laughter watching me play. In addition to the suggestion of splitting the XY inversion (I like inverted Y and normal X) and adding the power bar, might I suggest adding rebinds for the space and shift key and/or include left and right click? The number of times I screwed up from pressing the wrong button... 😅Congrats on completing your first GWJ!
Yay, another team that made a runner! I thought the controls were broken the first few times I played because It took me a hot minute to figure out I was drunk. An intro screen with the pickups and controls would have been a great addition. On the itch page is fine for browser games, but less convenient for the DL games. Also, the artwork was on point. Nice job!
It's so fun to see the endless runners other teams have made. Really loved your artwork and music in this game! I haven't seen this issue mentioned, so I thought I would call it to your attention in case you decide to take this further (or for future projects). It's a little hard to tell from the screenshot, but when the game is in windowed mode, the hitboxes for the buttons don't line up. You can see the mouse is currently hovering over the settings button, but it's actually the tutorial button that's highlighted. This happens in the settings menu as well. Clicking fullscreen does fix this issue though. Great job completing your first jam!

I enjoyed how this game fit with the theme of momentum. I tried both difficulties several times, but I wasn't sure if there was an end/win state. If there was an end, having some sort of meter telling you how far off you were would have been a nice added touch. If not, then maybe including a scoring system for how far you got would have been cool. Overall though, it's a nice solid entry. Good job!
I very much looked forward to playing this while you were updating your progress in the discord channel. It did not disappoint. It took me a second to understand how to get slam to propel me farther, but once I figured it out, I was able to go from only getting to level 6 to suddenly reaching 25 then finally beating the whole thing. An endless mode for high score would be a great addition to the game if you decide to take it any further after the voting ends.
That was super cute. I loved the cat puns and other bits of humor thrown in (like the frowny face next to leaving the game!). I'm not great at these marble type games, so I can't get past level 4. But I managed to snag 15th place on the leaderboard for now! Also, I love that you kept your rat from the popsicle game in your logo!
I loved being able to draw my own ramps, but I agree that level 2 was super hard. It would have been great if there was an option to keep the lines you drew when restarting the level. I also noticed (and I don't know if this was intentional), but if I drew really fast I could draw a lot more length than carefully drawing my ramps. Great job completing your first game jam entry!
