All incredibly valid feedback! Everyone is always very kind and critical with their feedback in the GWJ and i love to see it, so don't worry!
Absolutely right about the rooftop texture, it does bum me out that i just... left it. I had more planned, like not just using the prototype character art, actually balancing the game and doing a little narrative worldbuilding etc, but like you say, time gets in the way, especially around xmas period.

Thanks for trying it out and the thoughtful feedback, it's really appreciated.

That grey blob of a rooftop is my biggest regret.
So, i do have a particle cache script that should be firing them all off at launch, but it seems hit and miss. I know in Firefox it runs like crap, it ran better in edge and I did not test it in Chrome. Must work on it more for next time.

I'm glad people liked my amateur attempts at making music, i should have added a choice to loop. The only reason it is starting over is because there's 3 different sections to the song, and the initial menu one will loop until you hit start, then it will play the second and then continuously loop the third main section afterwards. I'll work on a toggle to just keep the main section playing.

Thanks for trying it out and the feedback, appreciate it!

After struggling for close to 10 minutes to get past the first spike pit of the game, it clicked and i flew through the rest of it!

A genuine delight that i'm glad i came back to. I initially put the game down but came back and i'm glad i did. A very well put together game (apart from that first pit causing my skill issues to show...)

Great job all!

The interpolation on the sleigh feels really satisfying. I dunno what it was, but i found myself bobbing and weaving all over the level ( to my own detriment )

Yeah! fun lil' festive game! Music was good and feels great to move around in! A little more space to manoveur around in would be my only note!

I geuinely said out  "Oooh Okay" and rubbed my hands together when i realised what i was doing here.
Very satisfying!

The animation work done here is really great, i can't state that enough. It's subtle and a few frames, but it looks great because of that!
Some really nice evolutions and choices to make with your upgrades too! As a serial skipper of instructions, i'll admit to not knowing i could shoot until the second level, but i enjoyed it alot! Gets hectic but feels managable as time goes on.

Nice work all!

Yeah, pretty fun! Soundtrack was great, had me boppin' immediately which is always good! Felt good hitting a power up/ramp at the right time. Only thing was the timer felt a bit restrictive. I think i would have played longer if i was able to just play in the space for a bit more before being timed out.

Sick game though, looks cool and sounds great. Nice job all.

What a great little simulation! I'd love a mode to place tracks and mess around in a sandbox, because i'm a little too impatient and keep failing on the same levels, but being able to build a track and watch trains smash and derail would be very fun.

Legit very good job!

Bouncing felt pretty good!A little less floaty/more prescise on the movement and i think it'd be a nice precision platformer.
Nice work all, death noise got a good laugh outta me too.

Like the concept! A lil' faster of a ramp up in difficulty, some background music and i could see it being quite addictive!

Weirdly relaxing and hypnotising! Loved the music and especially liked the 3d models of the fruit before they get sliced up.
Nice job to all!

Such a monumental effort here from all that absolutely pays off.  Genuinely a very fun game, i really liked the git commit credits at the end too.
Well done all!

Really interesting take on an incremental game backed up by some really great looking art.
Nice job, only issue i ran into is a stutter everytime a particle fired, but honestly, that could just be the fact that i use Firefox. It's terrible at running browser games

This is so cool. Such an excellent and polished interpretation of the theme.

Honestly, no notes. It was great! Nice job both!

I think i made the difficulty increase a bit too light! the spawn timer decreases in time at certain kill milestones, but it's probably not enough.
Thanks for trying it out!

Thanks for trying it out!

Yeah that's a good point, i honestly don't know why i have it set up the way i do. Sometimes you just get stuck in your ways when developing, def should have done more playtesting!
Thanks for trying it out!

Very neat! Quite an ambitious project to take on in a week when it comes to physics! The final dash ability felt particulary satisfying to use tbf, Would have liked to have seen more puzzles implementing it!
Nice job!

This slaps. Purrfect.

Nice artwork and a well implemented grappling mechanic.
I personally found the controls/checkpoint to be a little frustrating, but the first one is just personal taste.

Nice work!

Very fun, love the idea and implementation, Good job!

This is really cool, liked it a lot.

No notes! Well done!

Damn, This is absolutely sick! Great visuals, music and idea.

Such a good job!

Damn, this looks the absolute business.
Stunning level of polish to the visuals, gameplay was interesting although i did get a bit lost in all the tooltip text.

Very nice stuff, top work!

Very polished, soundtrack slaps!

Such great artwork just like last time. You've got a really strong sense for visuals, really inspiring stuff.
Enjoyed the game! Reminded me of a game called Card Crawl! Very well done!

Ayy this is really neat, very polished! Nice job all!

This was neat! Very charming and satisfying across the board. I liked the light addition of base defense to an incremental game, helped me feel more involved whilst watching all the numbers light my brain up.

Nice work both!

Hell yeah! More Grubkins!

This was neat!

Some mouse controls for the ghost would have been nice and i did find myself cursing out loud because of one particularly long jump back to a checkpoint.

Besides that,  i think it's a really clever and unique take on the theme, the ghost moving infront/behind of the player looks cool and i think your artwork looks very nice!

Good job all!

Really liked the limited colour palette and ambient track in the background.

Neat platformer that kept me engrossed. Nice work!

Short and sweet, visuals are top notch and your high bar for quality shines through as always.

Really enjoyable game, i only wish it was a little longer.

I never know what i'm doing, but boy do i love hitting the satisfying af buttons and seeing what mad stuff happens!

Sick artwork as always.

Really good! Really liked the ambience and theme, the ending was especially neat imo.

Nice work, a good lil' idle game!

Hey! This is neat! We had pretty similar ideas drawing from papers please it seems! I wish i'd thought to add some questioning of visitors in to mine too!

Liked it a lot, very charming and the background tune was catchy.

Incredible. I honestly don't go in for dialogue heavy games during jams, but this really spoke to me. The writing combined with your artwork and the ambient audio/backing track was really immersive and feels well contemplated.

Absolutely solid work, one of my favourites from this jam.

Well damn, that would do it! Haha.

Thanks for that, I'll take a look at updating it!

Great idea and such a fun take on the theme.

No notes, love spook stuff! Nice work!

God, yeah! I know! I couldn't for the life of me figure out how i could do moveable windows without just snapping to the mouses pos, so it's incredibly janky looking! Really bugs me.

Thanks for trying it and the feedback!

The actual idea of a platformer where you are swapping between 2 different versions of the level is legitimatly a very good idea.

I understand that you're aware of the difficulty issue so i won't say much on the matter, but it is a shame because i would have loved to have seen more of it! Hopefully playtesting with others is high up on your list for next time! (hmu if you need strangers to test!)

Now! Besides that, like i said i think the idea is genuinely very good and the atmospherics/artwork and the storytelling i was able to see were very nice.

Honestly, think you've done a good job for your first jam. Nice work!
