Nice little game. I included it in my Love Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Nice! I had a good time playing this game, reminded me of old arcade games like missile command :3

I've found an error when music ends on the game over screen.

Error

main.lua:228: attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value

Traceback

main.lua:228: in function 'v'
hooks.lua:46: in function 'Call'
main.lua:142: in function 'draw'
[C]: in function 'xpcall'

Oops, forgot to validate the wave behind the text there. So it's trying to use values indexed from a table that isn't that large... Whoops. Appreciate you playing tho <3

That was Enjoyable!! , for some reason the Notes move too slow, while when i watched Sheepolution's steam they were moving faster. Nice Game btw!!

I liked the idea of having the beam change with the song. If anything, I think you could make that effect even stronger.

Submitted(+1)

I really enjoyed decking out my beam after every level growing stronger and stronger, but I felt like this strength was unmatched and unchallenged as the game progressed and I ran out of upgrades.

Solid - i liked the upgrade system - maybe dying would reset the level, and you could earn some money, instead of having to reset the entire game? regardless, nice job.

Thank you for taking the time to try it out.

I wanted there to be some kind of "end", even if the only ending was essentially losing. But some kind of continuation system could have been cool. Even maybe the reverse where you can spend a credit to replay the round. I'll be sure to take your feedback into account for next year :D

Very nice for your first game!

Thanks for giving it a look <3

Very nice for your first game!

I feel like it started normal, got harder and then got really easy.

Was fun but after a few levels I wish there would be something new.

Developer

Appreciate the time you took to check it out. I'll keep in mind the bore repetitive aspect for future projects.

Great job, fit the theme and was enjoyable to play. Difficulty does needed an adjustment , gets too easy after a few power-ups.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to check it out. I'll be sure to keep balancing in mind for next years jam.

I made it to level 6, which is when I stopped just because the game was too easy!

The idea is a lot of fun, and I like the upgrade system. I just wish there were more notes coming down, it felt like I was mostly just waiting!

I appreciate your feedback. Will keep that in mind for future projects! Thanks for taking the time to check it out :D

Seems like the falling notes are probably dependent on framerate, they fall super fast. Sadly makes the game unplayable for me.

Is there an end? I've reached level 13 with everything maxed out

Developer(+1)

Level 13, you're probably a world record setter. Congratulations!

It's more of an arcade style in which you simply see how long you can last. Was my first jam so I was super conscious on not wanting to commit to something that required an ending and then not have the time to actually finish it. I'll for sure make something that has an ending next year tho, now that I've got a footing down. Thanks for taking the time to check it out :)
