I like big guns and I cannot lie

The art is incredible, especially for a 4 day jam :) I love the way the levels match up and the harmony of the gun as you fire is really satisfying. Great platformer!

Thank you very much!! :D

Feels a tad empty, especially in the beginning. Level design, art and music are awesome!

The metroidvania genre is such an interesting decision for a game jam. I do wish the power up had been placed a little bit earlier. I think there was some really great puzzle design. Great job!

It would be awesome if you could rate my game too!

WOW! This take on metriodvania design is so cool. The pixel art and level design were so well done and the game felt very complete and the gun upgrades were very funny! Well DONE!!!

Developer

Thank you very much!

The level design is incredible! The fact that I managed to beat the game without getting stuck even once, despite having the worst orientation skills known to man is just mind blowing. The guns getting bigger and bigger is hilarious and I love how the guns look and feel. The puzzles are engaging, even though most of them limit to standing in a different spot to clear the way. Still, what shines here the brightest is the level design. Great game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!! Really appreciate the kind words, and that you took the time to play and beat it :)
I'll make sure our level designer sees this! :D

Developer(+1)

wow that means a lot thank you for playing!

Superb level design. Pixelart is amazing too. Great job. The only issue I’ve found is sometimes the bullets not registering.

Developer

Thank you very much!!! Appreciate the kind words and the valid feedback, we're aware of that issue haha :')

Great platformer with interesting mechanics. Congrats to all involved.

At first I thought the jumps were too tight to turnaround and it took some time until I got the premise but MAAAAN. I started laughing so hard when I saw the second upgrade. Great work, loved the sound design of the bullets going to the music. My only critics is that there could be a little more in between screens... like some enemies or something to make the travel a little more challenging. That and that for some reason the bullets sometimes don't break blocks. Major major props.

Developer

Thank you very much!! Really appreciate the kind words and the feedback. ^_^

Incredible art and animation!

Thank you!@

I love this metroidvania styled game, the art style and animation is superb! And the overall level design is great, I just wish the firing mechanics are a bit more polished. But great idea.

One of the best games I've played this game jam. In the start it looked quite boring, because it took (for a game jam game) too long to upgrade the weapon. But then it was a ride. Fun, juicy, smart and so on.

Also all the assets from art to music were amazing. Now I have to go to every game that I rated and give them lower score for style XD.

Good job.

Developer

Damn ahaha really happy to hear you enjoyed it and liked the music and art to that extent...
Huge thanks for the kind words, and the feedback! :D
We agree that it takes too long to get the first upgrade :)

Just played your puzzle platformer and I had a great time! The idea of using the gun’s scale as both a help and a hindrance is super cool. The art and music were awesome too—really added to the vibe.

Developer

Big thank you!! Appreciate the kind words, glad to hear you enjoyed it! :D

What a fantastically creative game! The levels were designed so well for the different cannon sizes. I had a lot of fun, great work!

Developer

Thank you!! :D
We appreciate the kind words and I'm happy you enjoyed it! ^ ^

The platforming could use some polishing but man, give the level designer a raise!!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool game. I would have loved to see enemies to slay with those big cannons!

This is such a cute little game OMG the only issue I think I had were minor things, bullets traveling offscreen if there was a screen transition and the way gravity just went ham and dropped you straight down when you do an upwards screen transition. I love the subtle changes in how you travel through the game with each upgrade it's so fun to travel through.

Developer(+1)

Tysm!! Very happy you enjoyed it and we appreciate the feedback!
Valid points, I'll write them down!

Submitted(+2)

Loved both art and level design

Developer

Thanks!! :D
