I like the idea but found it very difficult to get the hang of, which disrupted the pacing. I can see there being a lot of fun with this, but perhaps the scaling could be simplified so that it's more intuitive (e.g. rotating disabling scaling, or perhaps only scaling in one dimension).
What an incredibly creative concept! I feel like I could play this one for hours, figuring out how best to move through different spaces and mastering precise control of size and rotation. I also really appreciate that the enemies would only hit you once, so it wasn't just game over if you got stuck on top of one - really accommodating my lack of skill there!
Really fun and frantic game! I wish it was a little easier to orient yourself or maybe control the scaling differently but it was really fun either way. Awesome job!
Such a cool and relaxing game! ♥ Love this concept, trying to get used to this weird movement was really fun! The artstyle is eye-pleasing, cover art is very good too! Well done! ♥
Very creative idea! It was a bit glitching out some times when scaling too big, but I guess that is on me. ^^' Keep it up!
That was a very unique experience, not sure if that was my favourite ever control scheme, but overall it was pretty good!
Very cool and original controls, perfectly fits the theme. That was great fun, nicely done ! :)
It's fun becoming a spinning death wall wiping out life on my way, good job!
Really cool concept! I love the trippy texture too, I got to 3530, at first I just tried spinning a bunch because I thought the timer was just when the game was gonna end, but it was for the area.
I swear the idea is super cool, using the mouse to rotate and scale in realtime is super smart but lord bless you it's so hard to play (at least for me) i couldn't move where i wanted and scale or rotate to give impulsion. But still it's a very fun game !!
so, so, so mcuh fun. The animation of the cube was insanely good, I loved it so much. Such a fun take on this theme, one of the most entertaining games i tried in this game jam. The only criticism I have is that somemtimes the game feels a bit slow, I feel like maybe you could work a bit more on how the cube glides down the levels.
The "character" controls are unique and perfectly fit the theme. I really like the game, including the visuals and sounds :3 The Only slightly confusing part was the rotation of the ice block. I think if the cross rotated together with the block, it would be more obvious which way the scaling axes are and how the block rotates.
Thanks for suggestions.
Rotation axes where fixed at the start that's why the visuals are like that. But then it felt bad so we changed it and forgot to change visuals.
Glad you liked the rest.
Such a cool idea! Awesome game. Good job.
love the concept, the controls were surprisingly fluid. impressive that you pulled it off in 4 days.
This concept is bound to have collision box issues. Or so I thought. I actually had no bugs. Very impressive I'd say!
That was a nice run, the game is very clean! It’s not easy to get the hang of the resize/rotate thing, maybe if the “background” of the shape was shomehow hinting more to what we were doing it would be easier. Great game otherwise!
Really unique gameplay! I love that it’s simple to play, but has a high skill ceiling. The game reminds me a lot of Downwell with an interesting twist. (I got to Deepness before those shooting enemies got me - no idea how far it goes!)
I did find myself getting stuck on platforms a lot, and the controls were tricky to master. The later levels were especially tight, and I often only got through by rotating in ways that seemed to strain the physics system. But I was still learning the controls! Maybe a slightly slipperier character would make it a little smoother.
Overall, awesome work! I can see this being a pretty addictive rogue-like type.
Definitely one of the most unique player characters I have seen in this game jam. One that allows for both interesting and challenging gameplay. Well done!
really very cute, it really caught my attention and I really liked how you used the scale theme, well done!
Wow! What a lovely art style, and the mechanics fit excellently the theme. Really nice game, genuinely enjoyed it.
