Pretty cool game!, i like the concept!, wish the filter was a bit weaker though, i get thats the vibe your going for but the strong blur and abberation is disorienting, anyway great game!

i like the concept! using WASD and ARROWS together for a rhythm game is unique!, maybe its just cuz i dont actually play that many rhythm games or games of this particular style, though i dont think the blocks actually like fit with the rhythm that much, like the charting is off....., and i dont think the art assets mesh well together, but other than that, pretty fun game!
While you didnt say that your disqualification was wrong, you seem to undermine the advantage you had here, it does not matter the quality of your game, it could be godlike or dogshit, you said you finished the game 2 days before the jam, you FINISHED it, not even STARTED it 2 days before the jam, which is already violating the rules of the jam, the point of the jam is to make a game in the 7 day window of the jam, it is not "questionable".
Allowing a violation in the rules just because your game didnt have a chance at winning, is to set a precedent that the rules are malleable. I do not intend to demonise you in any way, just stating why you were disqualified, and to deter you from doing this same thing in the future
Its pretty fun! i really like the idea and theme implementation, and the way it was here was pretty cool! if i had to give feedback though, i guess it would be giving the player more agency, though i understand that this would take alot of time to implement which may not be feasible in a jam timespan, i think it would be cool if you are planning on a continuation of this game
an idea is maybe that alongside picking the upgrade you also pick the dice you will be fighting againts, and instead of having every dice roll 1-20 it could have enemy dice that rolls 10-15 or 3-16, you can also connect picking the dice you will fight alongside the upgrade system so it would make a really good risk reward system, like imagine having to fight a dice that rolls a 15-17 but if you beat it gives an extremely powerful buff!,
another idea is to have more incremental growth, have your player start as a 1-6 die and can incrementally grow, this gives much more freedom for the upgrades you can make, like a simple +2 on floor or +3 on ceiling, another thing to maybe add is lives or hp, make the enemy and player dice have a number of lives, this makes each fight less rng based while still keeping the rng focus, and would make the game feel more fair and balanced, of course this would also play into the upgrade aspect, you could make more unique buffs like removing 2 lifes on win but also taking double damage,
for feedback on other aspects besides gameplay, is that i would like to see more effects and polish put into the game, a simple way to do this is just to scale up/ make the ui brighter when selected, another thing is maybe the dice when rolling shakes around a bit, have a bit of camera shake and camera zoom shake when a dice finishes rolling,
another thing is to maybe make a win/lose animation, it really doesnt have to be anything complex just tween the dice to slam into the other dice knocking it out,
i could probably mention having like custom art and fonts but thats really going into the EXTREME nitpick category which i am already crossing the boundary off
Sorry for the long comment and feedback, i promise i dont hate the game i actually think its REALLY GOOD!!!! i really think this game has potential and could make a really good rougelike if continued! i already like the concept in this short jam game !!!
Ooooo i love the voice acting!, was a bit confusing at first and i wish the parry was a bit more responsive, but toehr then that super fun if not extremely confusing the first couple of minutes, in the game though the sensitivity was too high and i had to change my mouse sensitivity,, but other then that a reallyyyy cool game! the ultrakill inspiration was apparent and the art, and the whole vibe was just really nice! great job!
you know what sure, the gameplay is actually pretty nice for a seemingly memey game, a foddian climber game where you can spin your arms is actually pretty unique, and turned out pretty fun!, it was weird though how my left click corresponds to my left hand and vice versa instead of the opposite, thats just a nitpick though, for actual feedback i guess more fx and better polish?? but that kinda goes againts the style of the game.... Anyway! good job!
wow this game is really cool!, i like the visual style though i wish there was an option to diable the scanline filter, i think its cool how you can click on the spin wheel before it hits something to semi reroll for free, though i dont think that should be in the game as it makes the reroll for money system obsolete, yea this game is cool all around!
OOoo this was cool!, i really like the vibe!, the atmosphere here is really good and its a really sick and unique idea to use for a game!! though if i needed to give feedback is that i guess that the platformer physics needed a lil more polish, in my opinion the characthers physics should be a lil smoother, and like for example the duck's float ability could use a little more tweaking to make it feel more responsive, aswell as extra animations or squash and stretch for walking jumping, doing a special ability and the sort, but really those are just nitpicks! this is a great game with a really cool vibe great job!
I really like this game! the visuals are great and its fun when you can get into it, for feedback i guess the movement, maybe this is just a me thing but i didnt really like the mouse only movement, i know its probably to incentivise you to use the ATTRACT part instead of just repelling but it did kinda feel frustrating when i want to get behind an electron only to bypass it, get disoriented and then lose it :(, but thats probably a skill issue, the camera is a bit janky but i think thats been said already, i wish there was an option to disaable the pixelated filter, its REALLY cool lookin dont get me wrong, but i wish i could see far off atoms without hovering them with my mouse,, anyways i really like the concept, its iMPRESSIVE how you made this in just 7 days!!!, i really like the visuals, the music fits and it was really fun getting the hang of it!, great game!
Is this the greatest game of all time?
When I was but a young child, I caught a magnificent vision of Honse 1 while playing the hit game Angry Birds: Star Wars. At the time, I thought little of it. I dismissed it as a game of mere tomfoolery and horseplay. Oh, how wrong I was.
When the incident struck and I was left alone, beholding the Honse 3
The Joust!
in glorious 4K RTX shone a light into my eyes. It granted me a new understanding of this world. The storyline of Honse 3
The Joust!
filled me with equal parts hope and devastation. Tears dripped from my eyes and legs as I ascended to a new plane of existence.
(Memes aside, I genuinely like the cutscenes. The game is incredibly charming, the voice acting is amazing, and it's just a REALLY funny game. I would like a bit more mechanical complexity, though, since just pressing Space to spin a sword gets a little boring after a while. Still, I had a great time with it.)
Damn the art in this is crazy! though uhh i dont know if its just me but it seems like.. its kinda stretched? like the game window doesnt seem to have the right aspect ratio, and the ground is also like stretched like the rock floors and walls ( which kinda did piss me off but really thats just my stupid nitpicks) , but gosh i love the characther arts and the little sprites for when you go to a campfire or like the shopkeeper, its such a good style!, i like the rougelike/ slay the spire inspiration! this could be a full game tbh! great game!
