Thank you all for playing and the feedback! Hope to have a better version up in a few days.

Really cool puzzles and nice visuals, this could be expanded for sure!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I'll probably add a little bit to it and repost it soon.

Submitted(+1)

I had lots of fun taking notes :). I really enjoyed the puzzle solving!

Developer

Thank you! I liked your game as well!

Really really cool game! I suck at puzzle games so I managed to figure out the first room and then got stuck in the second one (did manage to solve the puzzle with the numbered tiles and the X though) lol

I'm sure I woul've able to solve them if I played more puzzle games hehe (are hints a thing in this genre? I may have used a couple maybe lol)

The art was just fantastic, I loved it! If you ever make another version of this, I'll surely play it and try to complete a 100%!  The theme was very well executed as well, Awesome job ^^

Developer

Thanks! Definitely could have been designed better, and hints were supposed to be a thing. Hope to have a better / revised version out soon, thank you for the feedback!

Loved this one! I didn't have as much time as I wanted to try it out since I'm aiming to leave feedback for as many games as possible. I will make my way back to this one afterward and try to solve it. I found the secret numbers in 4 different places but had a hard time piecing together the answer.

Developer

No problem, thanks for the feedback! Maybe if you come back around by then I'll have the improved version up haha. Thanks again!

Very cool! I didn't figure out that the 3x3 grid hints were the order for the safe til I watched a playthrough. I'm not the target audience for puzzle games however, and for those who are, I'd say it's a well designed puzzle. More input feedback on the buttons would have improved my chances of solving it, as I wasn't sure if clicking them was making anything happen. Great job on the visual style!

Developer(+1)

For sure, I definitely wish I had implemented feedback for that before I had run out of time. Thanks for the feedback,  really enjoyed your entry!

This was one of the first games I played and rated. But I must of forgot to comment.

This was awesome, art was totally my thing, puzzles for me was challenging but super enjoyable. Loved the notepad. It's the kinda game I wish I could make. Fabulous stuff.

Developer

Thank you so much Steve! Loved your game, glad you enjoyed mine!

Cool game! the art is great, and the puzzle was pretty well designed (I only did the first level tho)

Developer(+1)

Haha thanks, sorry the second level wasn't very well designed, hopefully will get that finished in the future. Thank you for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Have to say that I don't like these types of games, but that one got me haha awesome art style and great puzzles. Really good game!

Developer

You are definitely not alone in that haha, glad you liked it though! Thanks for the feedback!

Love the idea. Reminded me a lot of the Myst series.

Developer(+1)

Never played! I have had a couple people say that so I guess I have to try it out now. Thanks for the feedback!

Heck yeah! I'm all about these escape room type games. It's so satisfying to finally pull off a code. I absolutely love the notepad and being able to write down clues, something I don't think they'd ever allow in a game. A couple of clues could be a bit obtuse and it was tough to tell how they fit into the main puzzle, or which part of the number was the solution and which part was the hint, but I think with a bit of refinement and playtesting this could really be something special. Also, art is fantastic. Nice job :)

Developer

Thanks so much :) Definitely wish I could have play tested and polished it a bit more, but maybe in the future! Thanks for the feedback!

Visuals are great; beyond the stylized 3d look, things like the start screen and level switch animations were excellent. I only solved the first room but very satisfying when I thought to check the last place and everything fell into place. The discrete almost tile-based movement works really well for this because there are a finite amount of 'screens' the player has to check for clues.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it! Haven't made it around to your game yet but will soon!

I'm adding to my list of life's greatest achievements the fact that I was able to solve room two. Granted, both rooms took a bit of brute-forcing once I had 90% of the info required, but still. Nice game overall, and some great puzzles (if a bit too esoteric).

Developer

Thanks! Definitely wished I was able to design the puzzles better, but glad you were able to solve them both (even if through brute-force).

Submitted(+1)

Loooove the lo-fi 3d look! First puzzle is pretty well designed, and it's cool being able to walk around and look at loads of stuff.

There's not much in the way of audio, but you got a lot done considering you were busy. Would definitely like to see this expanded to a full game.

Developer

Thanks Manti! Yeah honestly my overwhelming disappointment with how it turned out might be enough to try to rework it into something I have better feeling about. I'll make sure to get all the audio implemented if I go that route haha.

For not having enough time, you definitely have something fun. It reminds me of the Myst games where you needed to write things down puzzles. Including the virtual notepad is pretty cool as well, and it didn't feel buggy at all. It took me a bit to figure out the first room, but I figured it out eventually. The second puzzle I wasn't able to figure out unfortunately. I definitely liked this game. Well done!

Developer

Haha I'm glad you were able to figure out the first room! Second room is entirely just poor design unfortunately. Glad you liked the notebook! Seeing people play it, it's super interesting seeing some people use it very often and some not at all. Thanks for the feedback!

Finally got around to playing and I had a great time! I really love the Inscryption inspired aesthetic and movement mechanic and I actually quite liked the escape room search puzzles (I am a big escape room fan anyway so you had me from the start ;D) Nicely done!

Developer

Thanks so much!

Very polished game.  The controls felt tight, the visuals were good, and it felt cool rotating objects around and finding hidden things on the back.  It really captured that escape room feel!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, your game was very polished as well!

Thanks so much for taking the time to play it!

Really nice presentation of this whole thing. I enjoy how the cursor changes when hovering over certain elements. I kinda like the inscryption-style controls but I wish that I could step back and exit from closer inspections with "s" and just open the book on an interact key like "e".
While I was playing I managed to get through both rooms without ever figuring out how to interact with the safe and without really using the tile shifting puzzle. It gave me the rest of the information pretty easily and then I could just brute force the rest pretty easily.

Still, had a nice time with this game and again, top tier visual representation :)

Developer

Thank you so much! I definitely feel like some of the keybinds could be better, if I continue development I'll keep that in mind!

I really like the vibe of the game and generally that it's a room with puzzles. I liked being able to take notes but it doesn't work when zoomed in on an interesting scene. So it was a little less practical than it could be (it still was useful though). The restricted movement added to the puzzle game style.

Developer(+1)

Huh that's strange, I haven't had anyone have that bug, for me it works as intended as well (you should be able to pull the notebook anywhere essentially). I'll have to look into that more, thanks for the feedback!
