Well done! Have not enjoyed a lot of idle clickers lately. This was nice. Fun game!

Really fun idle clicker! The visuals are great, and the sound complements it well.

the last 3(?) bosses do have a lot of HP,  especially compared to the first few. One more thing that's entirely personal - the scrolling background didn't do well for my brain and made me slightly motion sick.

Great job, overall!

Very liked music and art! Game looks nice and polished.

Maybe bosses have too much HP or gold income too low or mercenaries (who looks also cool btw) too weak , I don't know but game feels slow. BUT I enjoyed it anyway )

Visuals and musics is really good! The menus are also among the best that I've seen in a Jam :)

Congratulations!

Some feedbacks regarding the game mechanic:

  • I feel like the bosses had too much HP and this made the last ones overstay their welcome .
  • The game needs some risk/reward system, since in the current state strategy is not necessary to win.
  • Maybe allow multiple ninjas attack the boss at the same time? Or select which one to spawn and gave each one a different strategy.

Really well done game, with great visuals and particles. With the effort you put on polish, I am astonished that there is no SFX, at leats for the attack, buttons, and hurt feedback. The home UI is appealing, with plenty of movement. I must say, I don't enjoy idle clicker very much, but I can appreciate the work behind it. So great job.

Such a great game. Really enjoyed my time playing it. I like how many enemies and followers are in the game.

Visuals and music are awesome. I really like how many of the animations are synced well with the music (that i really like), but i also feel like clicking so much to gain money for a few mercenaries is a bit tedious after some time. Also i would have prefered that mercenaries didn't despawn after the round was finished.

I would be glad if you wanted to try and rate my entry too ;)

The visuals were really impressive with this one, my favorite merc was the brain slug guy that just bashed his head against the ninja king haha. I'm not one for idle clicker games like this but I still really enjoyed this. Some feedback though:

I think if they delay between clicks was shorter or non existent it would make it a lot more satisfying.

Some of the other comments mentioned it but I wish the mercs didn't despawn between rounds, it almost felt like having them manage my money was a waste of a perfectly good merc when they despawned.

One other nitpick I had was the text inconsistency with the HUD elements. Some were in a different font but that's not really a big deal.

Other than that, this was a pretty good entry and I feel like it could really expand exponentially outside of the jam.

I'd like the category Fun/Design to be split. I *really* think the design is very good, but the fun not so much (at least for me and, from other comments, other players, which don't find the idle genre as appealing).  The graphical work is amazing. I loved the idea that your community helped with some of the graphics as well as brainstorming for the design. Nice job overall.

The Ninja King is dead! Finally. This took me a while :D

Overall it's a pretty nice game. I love the pixel art, the music and the general composition of everything. It was really cool. It took me a while to understand the game but then everything worked fine and I could finish the  game an destroy all enemies.

What I did not like and this is highly subjective: After every boss all my Mercs were gone and I had to rehire everyone. I would have preferred if I could have kept them and the game would have not slowed down in these moment. But I enjoyed the visual and the music while waiting, so this is fine :)

Good job!

You did an excellent job on this whitevault this game is amazing I love it sooo much the music , I don't think there's any sfx but that fine the art alone is a banger you did an incredible job what do you want me to say more , no glitches or bugs no confusing mechanics nothing is terrible about this game , therefore that a well deserved solid rating from me!

(BTW I don't know if you remember me but I'm madduckling42 and I follow you on twitch and been in your chat for some time now) :D

Well... I must honestly say I never quite understood the idle clicker genre. It feels like a strategy game, but without strategy.

All that said, this sounds great, and it looks absolutely phenomenal. The pixel art is beautiful and the animations are crisp and lively. A sense of offbeat humor permeates all the onscreen characters. And this song will be bouncing through my head for the next 10 years.

I like it a lot. Very addicting. Kind of too long for a game jam though. I played it until the end and was already tired, but wanted to see all the bosses (the art of the game is VERY COOL and charismatic). It didn't have anything at the end though, only simple credits. That was a bit frustrating. But congrats, I like it a lot!

The first guy that I summoned just smashed his face on the enemy, love it.

Ok, from the start, the Art is amazing. The soundtrack is really good. And the gameplay loop is really good for a clicker game. My only criticism is that the beginning is slow but afterwards the game really picks up the pace.

Developer

yeah, i get that slow then fast feeling. Balance is a hard road. thank you so much for playing! glad you liked the art!

Really fantastic art. Love the background and the “turn up the heat” transitions.

Some thoughts:

  • I wish the purchaseable items would light up or something when I had enough gold for them. I also wish hovering showed a more meaningful description than the transparent boxes on the left or nothing on the right

  • the click delay/invuln window felt too long. I was having some clicks not register which did not feel good in an idle game

  • similarly some of the buttons were not responsive/required specific click areas to do anything

  • “manager mode” felt really unintuitive, especially because they tend to be frozen in time on the avatar. I kept accidentally sacrificing mercs. Maybe if there was a dedicated slot that wasn’t the grandma pic etc.

  • really nitpicky, but the enemies having weapons made me keep thinking there was some defense thing I had to do, or life to track

  • are you supposed to be able to be able to switch jobs after the mercs start attacking? sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn’t, and they’d keep attacking in manager mode

  • overall it felt very active for an idle game, but I guess the objective is to get momentum and not walk away and let it go exponential

  • it made me sad that the mercs would line up instead of attacking all at once, because the game already felt slow with the click delay being so long

  • my favorite ninja king was the buff strawberry levitation dude

  • I felt incentivized not to use the bomb or hire too many mercs because of the fact that they’d all get wiped out next round, so in my mind it was more beneficial to just save up as much money as possible between rounds to rehire all the managers

  • I wish I was able to put mercs on the reinforcements or upgrade buttons, to make it so that with the proper setup I could walk away and properly idle a ninja king, and then the game would still reward coming back to rehire all mercs between rounds

Developer

a lot of great suggestions! thank you so much!
