I kinda liked the idea but I have really huge issues with the controls, they are not your typical platformer controller and it is so stiff that it doesn't feel right to move at high speed without acceleration.
The same for jumping, I don't want the player to start going down after 0.0001sec of me releasing the jump button.

I liked the level design and how hard it is but the movement was really turning me off, When I finished the second level I didn't want to play anymore.

Other than the controls, everything in the game is really good.

This is my feedback and I hope it helps you in some way.

Really cool game, I just think that the movement is a little bit floaty but other than that this is a solid game.

Such a great game. Really enjoyed my time playing it. I like how many enemies and followers are in the game.

What a cool game, I Liked the upgrades (It wasn't possible to know how many times you upgraded though). I think the movement and knockback need some changes but overall, it is a solid game.

Really cool game, It has a lot of levels and transformations to play around with. Doing this while making a level editor is really amazing.

I have already watched him making the magnet game, he was trying to make a balance between puzzles and platforming and discovered that they don't work well together so he took the puzzles side while having really simple platforming.
When it comes to puzzles in this game, they are pretty simple because the game focuses on platforming (and combat in the next update) and the puzzles are used to make the play think a little bit, and the machines are used to spice gameplay more.

  • The player controller was edited a lot of times to feel good.
  • The heater and the wrench were our way to apply the limitation and the theme so It is great that you liked it.
  • We didn't have enough time to actually show the player that a mechanic is only activated by melee hits, We will think of something to fix that.
  • I agree with you on this but it was mainly because of the time limit, We will try to think of something to spice the heat wave.
  • I forgot to turn off this debug button, Act like it doesn't exist xD

Thanks for the feedback. The changing platforms were meant to be leaves (burn after the heater is active) and falling blocks (shows after the heater is active) but we didn't have enough time to change that.

You can actually leave the double jump in the game after editing the jamp, It will be even more better.

Such a great game! It was a little bit hard to hit the button sometimes but still, it was a great experience.

Really cool game. I didn't like that I can only carry 2 logs only and had to go back like 2 times to get all the wood. But other than that this is a solid game.

That was a great game! the jump height should be a little higher but other than that I had a lot of fun playing it. 

Cool game. I don't like that I can't dash after taking damage and the hitboxes are too big, the game was in need of more enemies. But other than that the game was fun.

The game is good. The character is hard to control and the sound at the end of the game was so loud.

Ollie has 2 wrenches, not one. That was mainly added to make them easier to use.
Some content was cut from the game due to the time limit like enemies but if the game got updated it will have enemies and new machines.

Thanks for the feedback, The dash is the first ability because it led to some creative designs for the levels early on in the game. I tried to make a lot of jumps possible with double jump or dash middle air to avoid only dashing middle air.

I finished the demo and it was good! I also have feedback:

  • I really liked the vertical level before the end of the demo, I think they should be more levels like it.
  • The boss fight was really good! His bullets attack only needs an effect or an animation before firing like the ground attack or the dash attack, I died twice because I didn't have any idea it will fire bullets.
  • I liked the bouncing after attacking in the air but I think it was overused. Also, It was a little hard to use, maybe make it bounce higher and the hitbox bigger. Levels also need other things like more enemies.
  • The lava or the red liquid... I hate it, it punishes the player hardly.
  • The moving saws were a little bit fast.
  • The game needs more SFXs, Like when jumping, landing, attacking, etc.

It was a little bit harder than what I expected for a demo but it was great! I can't wait for the full game to be released!
