Really fantastic art. Love the background and the “turn up the heat” transitions.

Some thoughts:

  • I wish the purchaseable items would light up or something when I had enough gold for them. I also wish hovering showed a more meaningful description than the transparent boxes on the left or nothing on the right

  • the click delay/invuln window felt too long. I was having some clicks not register which did not feel good in an idle game

  • similarly some of the buttons were not responsive/required specific click areas to do anything

  • “manager mode” felt really unintuitive, especially because they tend to be frozen in time on the avatar. I kept accidentally sacrificing mercs. Maybe if there was a dedicated slot that wasn’t the grandma pic etc.

  • really nitpicky, but the enemies having weapons made me keep thinking there was some defense thing I had to do, or life to track

  • are you supposed to be able to be able to switch jobs after the mercs start attacking? sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn’t, and they’d keep attacking in manager mode

  • overall it felt very active for an idle game, but I guess the objective is to get momentum and not walk away and let it go exponential

  • it made me sad that the mercs would line up instead of attacking all at once, because the game already felt slow with the click delay being so long

  • my favorite ninja king was the buff strawberry levitation dude

  • I felt incentivized not to use the bomb or hire too many mercs because of the fact that they’d all get wiped out next round, so in my mind it was more beneficial to just save up as much money as possible between rounds to rehire all the managers

  • I wish I was able to put mercs on the reinforcements or upgrade buttons, to make it so that with the proper setup I could walk away and properly idle a ninja king, and then the game would still reward coming back to rehire all mercs between rounds

a lot of great suggestions! thank you so much!
