The first 2 levels are easy to get it. But, the 3rd one is kind of hard. It's a good concept. Good job!

I knew I clicked where I should, there is no underestimate this genius game. Loved every bit, keep building please!!

It took me a while to figure out what the multiplication cogs do--it's multiplying the minutes (or hours, whatever specified on the cog) of the current time with the number labeled on the cog. I was confused seeing, for example, "x2 minutes" that I thought it meant multiplying by 2 minutes. But it's 2 multiplied by the minutes of the current time. But once figured out, it was fun.

It gets a bit challenging on level 3, would love to have a clearer description for the cogs, it would be very helpful.
But hey, the idea is really good and unique, and the puzzle mechanic and theme integration are really well done!

It freezes on first level end? I don't get it

Developer

Hey there. Did you connect all the connection point's from the start node, to the nodes you want to add, to the end node?  (see screenshot for an example)

Submitted

There's just input and output, I connect them, press play and it freezes when red circle gets to the end

Developer (1 edit)

Ah, you have ended up in the "game over phase", since the "current time" does not equal the "target time" (top bar). Hit "reset" and add the cogs (bottom area) by dragging the ones you need into the scenes, and wiring them up to get from the start to the end time. - We did have a "game over, try again" screen, but that broke somewhere along the way without us noticing until it was too late to fix.

I see, interesting idea, could be a nice game with a lot more polish. Now I don't get how you complete "=1914 years" level, connecting it through "False" port also fails the level.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing :) It definitely would have benifitted from more polish. *hint* With the compare Node you can also "connect back to an ealiert node" and create a time loop

Submitted

Wow, that totally should've been explained

crazy good work, love this puzzel game, also the sound xD

48 hourss? very nice!

Developer

Thank you :)

Nice puzzle game, One problem was that some letters were small ..  hard to see.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! It's better in full screen, but I agree the font is not perfect.

Submitted(+1)

Awesome concept! Wasn't sure how it all worked at first but once I figured it out, it was pretty cool! Nice submission and keep it up!

Submitted(+1)

Wow, just wow!

Loving the voice over and overall feel of the game! Only problem I had was that the next-level button was so small, it took me some time to find it.. At first I even refreshed the page because I thought I was stuck 🫣

But really well done!

Developer

Thanks for the kind review :)

Yeah the popover could have benefitted a lot from a bit of polishing xD glad you found it after all

Ok, hands down the best game jam entry idea. I love the execution, art and story telling. Simply wow! I am not at my full brain capacity so I wasn't able to complete it but regardless - just wow! I can't do anything else - I just need to give you 5 stars rating in every category haha! :)

Hey PitilT, thanks for the kind words. I have watched a fair number of your YouTube video they are amazingly informative and I love your thumbnail designs.

Awww <3 Thank you! You made my day! :)

One of most unique concepts I've played so far. I think this is an amazing idea. I wish there was a bit more explanation or mechanic about the actual connectors - like if they do anything and if their length affect the time you get. Also when you hit play and don't get it right - it looks a bit like the scene is frozen, there is no clear indicator of what has happened. All that is fine after you play a few times. Pretty cool overall! Keep it up!

I would love it if you can play and rate my game, cheers!

Developer

Thank you for the great feedback. We did a have a "loose" screen that highlighted the different times and had a message "you need to make sure everythign is connected" (but that got lost along the builds) and we did plan to add a "check" so you could only hit play if everything was at least connected.

I did finish the game and it was really enjoyable. The last level was easier than the previous one(I think the narrator said one final last adjustment). Took me forever to figure out that I can use recursion in the if state machine. Love the fella that talks during gameplay. And the only a bit disappointing thing was that there was no ending, just a redirect to main menu, but I get it. It was a game jam. The fact that you guys did this is awesome! And I solved the time problem! Awesome!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the awesome comment!
The last level was indeed a lot easier, at first it intended to be super hard, but designing a hard one took a lot longer than we inticipated. So in order to have a working one, we decided to just make it "a final adjustment". We would also have loved to create an ending, ended up fixing some bugs and adding a minimalitic tutorial instead with the time we had left.

Even now, it is an awesome game! Great job!

I'm not really a history buff so it took a while for the narration + the dates to make sense for me xD I think the level with the dissolution of the Soviet Union one took me longer than I'd like to admit :x I usually end up giving up for puzzle games like these (especially adding the hours LOL, that somehow felt more mind boggling than adding up dates) but I managed to pull through and it was worth it!! Overall really great job, I enjoyed this game!! (On smaller resolutions, the fonts on the gears kinda mess up, like the + looks like a -)

Developer

Thank you for the amazing comment. Glad you sticked with it and enjoyed it till the end. Yeah we changed the font 1hour before submission. Don't like the 4 and the + does look like a - ....
