  • Your audio design on this did an incredible job of setting the mood for the piece. A lot of people overlook the ambient "unimportant" sounds of the world around us, but you really made the environment feel like it was firmly seated in reality. Excellent job!

I like how you mad a puzzle  out of error, I get a lot of error when making a game.

Developer

THanks for the feedback! and thank you for playing! and after all these years i still do! bugs come with games!

pretty polished gameplay and flow but the alarm sounds stressful and the movement is not very responsive imo

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Well the movement in intentionaly slow and the mouse is also intentioanly slowed down and normalized to battle webgls issues on mouse positions! The alarm however served its purpose if its stresfull as it was intended. thank you for playing!

I love the game, the urgency, and the flow once you get into a rhythm, as I am hugely a puzzle junkie and love rushing around to solve the issue. I would say that I had a hard time seeing some of the computers that needed to be booted up and the noise was quite nerve racking and gave me anxiety at points haha. Maybe the noise is a signal to do it faster to stop it from continuing though!

Developer

Thanks for playing amd the feedback! I have made a devlog explaining the game if you are interested in finding out its purpose!

When I got the white screen ending the first time.
My origianl guess is I need to switch on all of them.

But when I try again and get ending the second time.
Now I'm not sure....? That alarm makes me really nervous. haha

Thank you for playing! ima spoil it since we have 1 day and try to wrap it in a spoiler!

SPOILER about the whole game Read only if you want to know and better after playing! Well the game is an infinite loop. the numbers you see are the instances of the players playing the loop! Initialy i wanted to make it count realistic users but i opted for a random value, the ending if you read it carefully states there is no begining there is no end, we are just living in it! The whole game is the 4 initial cycles after that it reloads teh whole thing entirely when you press the button which says its your turn now # and that number is you! the next in line! Tis was due to my interpetation of the theme together with the egg paradox (which suggests that all humans are a single consciousness reincarnating through all lives, past, present, and future.) so yea its not about fixing the machines, its not about winning or losing its about doing your part to sustain the machine till the next one takes over!

How did you find enough time to... never mind. Great Game!

Developer

Beautiful graphics, I managed to figure out a few steps, then got a bit lost haha. But managed to see the ending

Developer

Thanks for playing! the whole experience is a bit abstract! its more of a message! thanks again!

It is good. I wish I figured what to do.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! appreciate it and well you might have finsihed and never found out! if you would like to read some of the comments they spoil it a bit. also the description gives a hint! thank you for playing!

I have a suggestion as I struggle with this myself and am brainstorming with you. It is hard to find the balance between too hard/mysterious and trivial/obvious and this balance changes between players. I made my game too hard for many players here and almost exactly perfect for my friends and myself which I see other people do when it comes games of skill/difficulty.

In this case, since it is loop based, perhaps a good idea is to give more and more hints and feedback as the player fails.

Developer

well i would normaly agree, but it all comes down to context, my addition is too short for a game to be honest so the loop is tight. i cant go over explaining things, sometimes games make sense to some and not others! indeed i could do more, like i have 2 hints in the game and after some comments i added explanation on the games page, on its description on what needs to be done per cycle but still the realization of what i tried to achieve comes with the , well only real text overlay in teh game which explains the concept! its a play on the theme and its meaning as i decided to interpet it!

I really love the atmosphere you created — it’s very immersive. The game really gets on your nerves in a good way! It’s a bit tricky to figure out how to progress, but that makes it all the more intense. I’ll definitely keep an eye on this one to play more when I have time. Congrats on the work, and best of luck in the Jam!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback! yes as the details say its a short experience!

I understood about 20% of the game xd

Developer

hehe thanks for the feedback! its abstract, not so much a game as my own interpretation of the jams theme! a game in the sense of a loop, do x do y etc but yeah! thanks for playing it!!

I don't get it. Is white screen the ending? If so, why it just repeats afterwards with random number? I thought you need to go through multiple loops for something to happen, because for me the number was descending until few runs. Feels like a waste of time with random philosophical sentences all over the place, totally not for me. And loud alarm sound gets very annoying very quickly. I didn't feel any tension since I didn't understand what you have to do and then it would just get reset, only later did I notice that some screens go black, but that did not change much since I've already brute forced the ending.

Developer (2 edits)

Thanks for the feedback!I can’t spoil much but there is no brute force! The game ended as it was supposed to! Or well not a game exactly, too short! Thanks for giving it a go even if you did not get the context! Appreciate it!
