Neat game with interesting mechanics, though it was a little confusing at first as to what I was supposed to do. It was also confusing as to what counted as a kill; I thought one person was a kill, and it took me a little bit to realize each group counted as a single kill. The donut also seemed a little messed up, and would have a different vertical position depending on where you picked it up. The music also got really messed up when you restarted the game, and would pile up and all play at once.
Okay, so I played The Sompsins.
The idea of the game is quite nice, I liked it. Not a huge fan of The Simpsons, but the game seems to capture it’s mood quite well, in my opinion.
The graphics are very nice, and definetly capture the aesthetic of the show.
Gameplay is polished and controls feel very smooth. I had no trouble at all while playing the game. It does seem a bit over-stretched though. There doesn’t seem to be any difficulty increase nor any new mechanics. So some simple mechanism to ramp up the difficulty could make wonders to it’s replayability and arcade-feeling.
Game over screen (both win and lose) is kinda bland too. Some congratulation would go a long way in rewarding the player for playing.
Conclusion:
Game captures the show’s mood quite well, and feels good to play. There doesn’t seem to be much room for improvement and growth though, as the difficulty and complexity does not scale at all.
Thanks for the feedback, it was very interesting,
I like visuals in this game a lot and animations, very cool retro feel! Cool music and gameplay
Thank U ^^
Cool CRT look, nice interpretation and not your usual arcade gameplay – quite fun to play through! Congrats :)
Thanks! :)
Innovative gameplay, nice pixel art, and quite funny overall too! I like that it's in a TV, gives that TV episode feel! Good job :)
Thank U! :)
Fun little game and nice graphics, I enjoyed the CRT look. Can the birds actually cause you to lose or is it just there to slow you down? I tried getting hit a few times and it didn't really seem to have much consequence other than making me stop for a second.
Great job!
They jut stop you, so the donut can be eaten by the clones :)
nice idea - with a nice graphic and game-play. Yes, I've found the blurry choice a bit odd - but it's a funny game to play with
Thanks, your game is very cool!
This is a really nice game! I loved the concept and the art! Also, I really enjoyed the CRT effect you used. Very well done!
Thank U! :)
Enjoyed the game. Great style (like the hand as a cursor at beginning. Screen seemed a bit blurry, would have like just a clean 2d look. Also sound wise might want to consider toning down the soundfx as it seemed quite a bit louder in game than the music. But game was fun.
Thanks, i will fix it! :)
Nice! I love the art for this. I think when I threw more than one clone in the pit at once, it didn't count them, but when I did them one at a time, each one was scored correctly.
They are wave markers, i will check it, thank you for the feedback! :)
Aaaah, that makes more sense then. I didn't realize that. lol
