YOU BETTER BEHAVE IN MY SALOON! I'd like to learn a bit more about your animations. The movements almost look rotoscoped, lending it a really interesting and unique look I don't think I've ever seen in a 3D game. It's really cool!

Developer

the animations for the enemies were made using a blender to make the model and then importing it into mixamo to auto rig it and give it animations then I took the fbx exports from it put them into blender to combine them and then export it as a gltf file into godot
If you want more information you can look up a tutorial for your game engine of choice on youtube

Developer

Here is a picture of the enemy model doing the YMCA in mixamo

Great theming, well executed controls and a good concept. Would love to see more!

Developer

Thank you I might try making more 3d games now after this

Submitted

Pretty hardcore one! Would be cool if enemies sometimes dropped some health pickups)

Developer

yeah I'll try doing that in an update

Finally got a chance to play on a PC. It's fun! defo has a retro style and replayability.  However I found myself quite bored quite fast. Maybe if there was objects to throw, different difficulty waves, pickups, it would add more to it! Well done for a game jam though, nice work!

Developer

yeah those are exactly the things I scrapped for time but i may add them in an update

Understandable, we've all had to make cut backs, some of my games best features aren't in yet haha

Really simple, yet fun game. Sprite-based enemies could work well if you plan to expand on the concept.

Developer(+1)

That's a good idea

Very polished game!

The game could do with some more different types of enemies though to break up the repetitiveness a bit.

I especially liked the damage flash in this game.

Overall good game!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback I plan on updating the game after the jam to fix some issues with the game before working on my next project

Really impressed by how well-designed this is. Every part feels intentional and polished.

Developer

thank you

fun and short game, at first it was impossible to get any points, but after knowing the controls and limits, I managed to get a hang of it,

glad to see some animations on characters, though I do feel somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of characters.

my high score is 10,000

Developer

If I update the game I plan on making an actual difficulty curve to fix the gameplay problem and maybe make the game end at a certain point

This looks fun, but I experienced some issues with the mouse cursor getting stuck at the edges of the screen.

Anyway, an interesting approach to gameplay and a great job capturing the vibe of old-school games!

Developer

Thank you

Great job here guys! The animation looks very impressive, the art style is perfect, especially the use of 2d sprites for furniture. For a first 3d game, you nailed it!

Developer

thank you your game also had a nice art style

Submitted

I love the pixel style visuals of this one!

Developer(+1)

thanks the low resolution helps sell the visuals

Nice game you got there, really cool art style.

I like  the feel, it was quit hard in the beginning, that combined with a easy to learn combat system and the high score made it quit repeatable.

Great job

Developer

Thank you

I just now realized how similar to the superhot logo my cover image is

Love the style and the vibe game has, color scheme too, it was a bit hard to navigate sometimes when they surrounded me but it was quite fun experience, are you looking forward to updating this after jam finishes?

P.S. fun fact I could run it on my phone too, not sure how and why but it run, tho I haven't seen any textures except when I hit somebody guess it's due to phone's limitations and such

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah I plan on fixing up some bugs and performance issues afterwards and maybe including some scrapped content like weapons and stuff

Developer

I just realized why the web build does not work on phones and it's because the texture compression in the export from godot is set for desktop optimized compression so the mobile version can't even open the textures

I liked the game, but it has a flaw. If played perfectly, you can get an infinite amount of score. So it is just a test of patience, instead of skill. I noticed you put a cap on the most amount of enemies in the room, and it is this that causes the game to never end (Either if you group them together, or just avoid them indefinetly). Would've also liked a win-condition and maybe some heart pickups to go along with it. Don't like the use of invisible walls here, because it's so obvious it's just an empty hallway to hide the spawning of enemies. And it also doesn't seem like the enemies collide with the objects in the scene.

Still, it was well made and had love put into it. Well done

Developer

thank you for your feedback

Developer

my original vision was too big for my experience with making 3d games in godot as this was my first 3d game but It turned out better than expected

It's great to hear that you stepped out of your comfort zone, and did something with your current knowledge. Good luck with further games!

Developer(+1)

good luck to you too
