Nice entry!

Good for practicing your writing speed :D Nice story, and I like the clever implementation of gravity!

Darkness has fallen over the Barrel Kingdom!

This is a highscore based game, because the main mechanic (camera system) took so long to get working well. The number is your score, and you can increase it by getting to the glowing yellow zones as fast as possible.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

Very polished game!

The game could do with some more different types of enemies though to break up the repetitiveness a bit.

I especially liked the damage flash in this game.

Overall good game!

The talk ability definitely needs a bit of balancing. You can win every time just by talking :D

Nice concept though, and the sounds were really funny. Especially the talking sound.

Neat game!

Interesting idea!

I had trouble figuring the mechanics out, because the power kept going out and I didn’t know why. There didn’t seem to be a power supply in any of the rooms?

Seems like a solid idea though, and I especially like the feature of viewing the tickets and ids.

Nice game!

Very nice and underrated game!

The graphics were very nice, and the game was fun. I do though think that some kind of charge up ability would have been nice. For example charging up the gun to shoot all of the remaining bullets in a quick succession.

If this had a web version it would probably have a lot more ratings, but I don’t know how that stuff works in Unreal.

Well done!

Yeah in it’s current form it’s kind of limited, maybe if there were levels in which you had an objective (and less cameras) it could work better.

Some kind of sensors or sounds where planned for navigating blindly. One comment here however gave me the idea, that maybe seeing nothing for too long could be another lose condition.

The goal of the game is to get to as many yellow spots as possible as fast as possible.

Thank you for the feedback! :D

Thanks!

We actually didn’t use Cinemachine. We made a whole custom system.

Yeah it gets kind of confusing, that’s why the map is so small. 3 goal objectives always spawn at the start, and when they all are collected another 3 spawn. There are two kind of hard places to find in the map, so they probably spawned in those. I should probably have added more cameras near those.

A win condition was planned. We thought that when you get spotted the game enters phase 2. The cash you collected turns into your health. The cameras turn into enemies one by one and jump at you, and you have to break most of them. After that we thought that there could be a drone boss, which would film you from above and use some of it’s abilities.

When you (if you) survive. You win, and your score is the remaining health.

We unfortunately didn’t have enough time for this though, because we worked on another idea for half of the jams time and repivoted to this afterwards.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

The cameras and props regenerate after a while. The point of the game is to get to as many yellow points as possible as fast as possible.

There was a mechanic planned where you could tell what’s in front of you by either sound or sensors, but we ran out of time. Now that I’m thinking about it maybe there should be a another timer when there are no cameras looking at you, so you can’t get stuck.

Thank you for the feedback! :D

Nice game! Fits the theme perfectly.

One suggestion though. Maybe add a way to rotate the camera vertically (up and down) so you can better visualize your tower.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

Yes. This is a bit luck dependent sometimes, because floating point precision screws up the physics from time to time; Giving a couple of different outcomes for each setup.

Nice game :D

I got stuck though when I forgot to place turrets and had no ammo left. Maybe you could add dashing, which could be used to damage enemies (just a little) so there is still something to do when you have no ammo left.

Well done!

You need to break the TV, and not drop it off

Very interesting idea!

The only thing that comes into my mind for improvement is a public leaderboard. That would make this a next level game.

Overall a pretty strong game!

Just wow!

Nice art, gameplay, audio and idea.

I really enjoyed this one. One small suggestion though. In the lightning strike portion, maybe it would be nice if instead of a circle appearing where the lightning will next strike; There could be one big circle and one smaller one inside it which grows to the size of the bigger one before strike. This would better indicate when the lightning actually strikes.

Overall very solid game!

Pretty good game!

It still needs some polishing. Like health orbs blinking before disappearing, but the fundamentals are fun. I played till around day 8.

Solid entry overall!

Fun and simple game!

The graphics feel good. Even though they are just simple shapes. The game is well polished and fun.

One problem I found is that the VIP guests get in the way, and are impossible to deal with in some cases. One possible solution to this would be to be able to hold the Z key to ping pong between up and down, and when let go. The bat would fling the guests that way. This would give you much more control.

A very well rounded entry. Well done!

Very nice!

I would have liked a bit more feedback in the game. For example: damage flashes, sounds and maybe screen shake. The sprites looked really nice and polished though.

Well done!

Wow such a creative idea!

Maybe you could have added more time, and upgrades for yourself (pickaxe, jump, speed). This way the player has a choice. Do I prioritize upgrading my ease of gathering resources, or start upgrading my boat. I had a ton of fun on this game, and the water looked nice!

“33 minutes before the deadline”. Classic game jam style :D

Interesting game!

It’s a bit easy to beat the system though. Just move back and forth, maybe you could add other dangers which would prevent that.

Graphics were really cool. I especially liked that you could see the marks that the mosquito leaves.

Well done!

Very fun!

Audio and graphics were a bit lacking, but the game was a lot of fun. Maybe you could add archers to add a bit more variety though.

I really liked that you added a damage flash effect. It adds a lot to the game.

Great entry!

Very fun and addictive game!

This idea definitely has potential, but currently it’s unclear if droplets have more defense or not. I really liked the upgrade system. It’s very nice!

Very nice game!

However it took me a long time to figure out you can double jump.

I really like the rising water levels. They add a nice challenge.

The effects are nice! Especially the pause menu. Maybe you could have made it so the hp projectiles could turn enemies into allies, so you could scale up an army.

Really cool game :)

I updated the itch page instructions to be a bit more clear

Yeah! It’s not really clear how you can fit large objects in the house. You must throw the object hard enough to break wall of the house.

And yes the gameplay loop does definitely need some work. This game was supposed to originally be about buying larger things than your neighbor, but we didn’t have enough time so we had to scale back.

Thank you for the feedback :)

Definitely good idea, but the controls need some work. They seem to depend on the snake’s rotation. I really liked the way the snake splits into pieces when it hits itself

This is creative! Hit boxes need some work though; I kept dying when placing pieces next to me. I especially liked the little critters, and the wireframe pieces were an interesting mechanic

Interesting concept, and fits the theme well. It was fun to see the amount of cells increase, but I kept thinking that a dash would be cool; It would be a risk and reward kind of tradeoff

Great game!

I liked that it got more difficult over time. However maybe the enemies could be larger so the game would fit the theme better. Great job!

Pretty interesting! I liked the concept, but the controls were a bit buggy. Other than that very good job!

Good! But you should make it more clear from the sprites what the cans do. The puzzles were fun once I understood them though!

Interesting game! Maybe you could add some kind of ability to see the direction of the nearest food?

Good job!

Polished on the outside, but not on the inside. The inside includes much spaghetti.

Thanks :D

Very cool! But I got stuck on the second level. I also think the environment graphics could be a improved a bit, and the character made a bit faster.

Otherwise I liked every aspect. The character and it’s animations are good, the puzzles are fun, the mechanics fitting and the game is just all around good!

Great job!

Great concept and game! The spherical planet is a fun idea, but I think it would nice if there was another objective than just to survive.

What if you had keep the planet as small as possible by finding some kind of pickup in the map; While over time the planet grows; Making it harder for you to find these pickups, and of course when the planet gets too big; Your ship sinks (because the waves would realistically be too big)

Great game! I see potential here! :D

Yes that would be nice! Maybe one of the spawned starting random items could be a guaranteed extra raft.

Thank you for the feedback! :D

Yeah. The randomness is based on a exponential curve. It weights the better rewards to the smaller holes, but the side effect is that there’s a chance that the small holes can have bad rewards too (but not as likely).

Glad you enjoyed :D
